Battleplan: American Civil War

Great for nerds or just a gamer looking for entertainment                 Amazing

This game does something difficult for most games it provides solid depth of strategic gameplay in battles that last 510 minutes The only ding I have on the game is the lack of multiplayer Hoping it gets added soon Great modeling of command and control If your forces get ambushed on the other side of the battlefield from your commander getting orders across the field to reorganize takes some time Terrain can be used effectively for surprise and cover I was about to rate this 4 stars before I found the speed slider in the menu to slow down the action when you divide the forces The default was a little too fast for me to keep under control Everything works great on my iPad 2                 Great balance of strategy and speed Needs multiplayer

This gives the best feel for Civil War battles of any iPad game yet Well worth the money good AI engaging play I would love it if they would expand this model into a larger strategic game fingers crossed              Excellent

Solid wargame with lots of potential Agree with previous reviews I have always loved the Osprey maps now I get to move units on one Yes this game would also be great further developed as a tool kriegspiel style Please include the variable speed switch on the full game as well as the demo Looking forward to future releasesdare we hope for Napoleonics              Hopefully first of many

This is a great game I love the interface and the playability I would love to see this system developed into a solowargaming aid in that you could use it in place of an opponent or umpire in a wargame or a kriegspiel like game Well done Osprey              Very cool I love it

Great idea newest version 11 includes a speed of play option Fun to play and challenging A good buy for civil war buffs              Fun

Fun little game Much of what happens is out of your control unit formations how they react to enemy but Im ok with that Interface is a bit fiddly though Hard to move units with precision Also how about an option to rotate the map Gets boring looking at the same perspective all the time Finally even with the speed slider Id like the option to make things even slower           Battleplan American Civil War

The speed slider update makes all the difference This is a great real time strategy game Now just spruce up the unit sprite graphics and its a 5 star must have              Great

Update Ive won as the Union the Battle of Bull of Run three times now and it will not unlock the next battle Hmmmm Excellent game play otherwise Im finding Please please add an auto save feature ideally one that captures the state of the game at any time since iOS 712 reboots my iPad every time it gets pushed hard even though no significant heat production it must be a bug in 712 Im thinking a big memory leak as the interaction with the device starts getting flakey then it reboots iOS 712 does it on both my 3rd 4th generation iPads It does it with 140mb eTexts in my eText reader app also I lost my entire game I was playing after I had just laid out all my move strategy my iPad rebooted Really REALLY frustrating Back to game play One thing they have done a wonderful job with is recreating the difficulty making a coordinated attack with all your assets Once I could only start laughing at the mess I made of my attack LOL I like the look of the graphics and yes it reminds you somewhat of Ospreys battle maps in their publications When I looked at their maps I always wanted to move the units and now Zi can I also like the soft and appropriately somber music and thank you for the volume control instead of just off and on I had forgot that Id read about this game being developed and eventually I had forgotten about all together until they emailed me that it was released I immediately bought it So far I have found no bugs Game play is smooth and the user interface is easy to use I cant yet tell how good the AI is but it can be set at any of three difficulty settings I like the games design Ill update my review after Ive given it a proper shakedown                 Somewhat disappointed
