Banshee s Last Cry is my favorite app Period Ever since the IOS 11 update this app have been rendered unusable until Aksys patches it to work on any device that has received an updated I wrote an e mail to them a month ago and haven t received a response I m under the impression that it will remain non functional considering it was last patched 3 years ago If you want to play this get it on Android                     No Longer Functional -XYZYX-

I had never played any of the other ports of this game before so this was my first time My thoughts going I tot the game were that this was strictly a horror mystery VN But to my surprise there aware other chapters that dealt with different scenarios but with the same people It caught me off guard but in a good way I would definitely recommend Also play 999                     Some pretty good endings Brandeaux commandeaux

I have to say it s been a long time coming the original being one of the best sound novels out there of course it was going to see some kind of translation even if it took this long to do so And if nothing else this stays pretty true to the original It follows the storyline so closely the Japanese walkthroughs fit this one fine However like many others I m not particularly excited about the localization While I understand the need to do so to appeal to people who haven t even heard of the original it wasn t quite the same If you re going to offer the full story as an in app purchase I d appreciate being able to purchase a more literal translation the same way One star off because of this still a great work so the other 4 stay and I paid to show support for this kind of thing and I m not tossing the Japanese one off my iPad Speaking of which not even carrying over my saves and stuff Really                 Finally But not what I expected Jamar0303

I m well acquainted with these sorts of games being that this is my favorite genre of the industry Let me say that this was a unique experience for me and while it didn t change me as a human being per say it has left a mark I won t be forgetting it anytime soon I could tell that a lot of love and creativity went into it from the music to the writing to the hidden jokes and choices And for 3 4 Beyond worth it Like I said its a life experience and I personally wont be forgetting it anytime soon                     A life experience CheckeredZebra

Couldn t get past the first chapter Storyline is very weak the interactive options lame especially compared to masters in the field such as Walking Dead and the music does very little to lend to the story In fact I couldn t figure out why any of the music was selected     Lame story Awful music Shutew

People complain about changes made to the localization but I thought they were fine It s a situation where without prior knowledge no one would know it was adapted from a different culture excepting joke endings Admittedly sickle weasels make more sense in their relevant cpntexts than banshees here but what s lost is honestly very slight There is tons of extra content to see after completing the central mystery of the game enough to fill another novel game It plays off an off kilter sense of humor glimpsed at from the main mystery portion You get a lot of sound novel for your buck here I m very grateful to Aksys for putting together a wonderful quality localization at a steal of a price                     Well realized localization much post game content Lentforth Quimbly

I m not too impressed by the story itself Max is a bit too wimpy and unlikeable for me and I can t really follow his thought process but this is very well done great graphics music etc No problems with the programming I agree the localization really distracts from it it just sounds forced and weird Perhaps it was made that way to appeal to more people somehow but the names don t seem to fit like they tried to pick ordinary names but they are from all different decades and it doesn t quite work The story and localization are all that take a star away for me everything else is great All in all I feel my money was well spent and I hope to see more VN releases in the future hey still waiting on 999 iOS                 Any okay story great format Feyta

Sure the latest and greatest gamebook apps like Sorcery 2 etc are amazing But I wouldn t trade the experience of Banshee s Last Cry for 1 000 Fighting Fantasies or all the Lone Wolves in the world Wow Even if Banshee s had only the main story and its many branches this would still be one of my all time favorite iPad gems Easily But the depth it s jaw dropping insane On replays after winning the game things that I thought would be maybe a one page joke turned into intricate story arcs From the thrilling to the truly terrifying to the hilarious to the surreal it s all so well crafted Does the app crash sometimes To be fair yes But if I find a chest of buried treasure I m not going to let the fact that it s a little dusty stop me from enjoying it And Banshee s is a rare treasure To prospective purchasers Unless you just dislike reading or absolutely detest the horror thriller genre I m actually not usually a fan of the genre myself so don t feel you have to be I urge you to buy this game And I urge you to play it at night in a quiet place with headphones Also even after you ve solved it please replay and explore Because there s a lot more there A lot more And then more on top of that Plus even more To the original creators Your artistry is humbling To the dev team Thank you for doing such a brilliant job on the localization Thank you for giving me a chance to experience something you clearly love Because the love you put into this really shines Amazing work                     Absolutely Brilliant AggroM
