it is excellent app but has weaknesses in 1 we cannot open videos from the AVPlayer in the other Apps 2 it cant extract zip files when we have a lot of videos in another app and want to bring them in the AVPlayer it is very painful we open them in the AVPlayer one by one but if it could extract zip file we could bring them in one zip file 3 there should be options for forwards and backwards in fixed seconds10 or 15 seconds for watching studying videos it is very very necessary when it has rich specifications in quality voice and displaying it is very pity there are these weaknesses           Excellent

This is what you need to spend money Even if you use 1st gen iPad it SUPPORTS you Indeed 1st gen iPad was abandoned by Apple You cannot update and download some apps But this app has supported all of iPad Easy to use Perfect It is ESSENTIAL                 Super worth

The app doesnt seem to work for UPnP streaming The interface is nice and I want to like the app but the only reason I got it was to stream via UPnP and have ac3 compatibility However the app only streams the last file in the folder No matter you clickselect the video streamed is the last one in the folder     Issues streaming

DLNAuPnP issue is still not fixed in new version Disappointed A few issues DLNAuPnP is buggy It does not retrieve the correct file For example if there are ten files in the list no matter which file I choose to play it always plays the last file in the list This basically renders the uPnP functionality useless The media server I use is twonky external subtitle rendering is buggy Sometime it hangs at a certain line and stops updating as also mentioned by another reviewer        DLNAuPnP does not work

While the app plays most videos well displaying subtitles using AirPlay to an Apple TV doesnt work and support doesnt respond to email requests Also avi and mkv files wont display on the TV only the audio If it were a free app I wouldnt expect much in the way of support but its not     Non existent support

I have been using this app for 4 years now and it is still the best around I tried a lot if apps sometimes I go and see if anything newer appeared but this app is still hands down the top of its class Whatever I throw at it it plays without trouble Love it                 Best player one could find

Its a great app But the problem is the app did not have update from long time And it is dont have share button              This app is need to update

Well it does play files My problem is that all of my files are on the inhouse server and half of them have cyrillic characters in names I am using FTP connectivity and all I see is a bunch of question marks in place of those characters I guess I just donated 5 to this company Too bad        Lacks support for international characters

Ive seen some criticism for people seemingly doing slightly more advanced things on the app than I am just playing files so I cant really speak to that What I can speak to is just how consistent and perfect this app is It plays my files perfectly It speeds them up perfectly It loads them perfectly It pauses perfectly The files display great Just a great great player                 What else could possibly compare

Copy files to your device stream them via http or ftp Perfect for when you know you wont have reception or if you cant be bothered always syncing apple format videos via the same iTunes computer or youd overwrite your old videos from another iTunes library                 Love this

Update I discovered that some of the issues I had were on my end and have edited my review to reflect that nevertheless this app remains unreliable for subtitles even after fixing them I bought this app because I saw it recommended by many people for watching subtitled mkv files Strangely though it seems this app is rather poor at handling subtitles It will inevitably hang on a line after several minutes requiring one to scrub through the video to another location and then scrub back to get the subtitles to reload Doing this however sometimes messes up the audio requiring one to do it again to fix the audio The app also seems to be incapable of displaying separate subtitles simultaneously at arbitrary locations which is essential in scenes where multiple dialogues are occurring simultaneously or characters are talking over each other Because of this even if the subtitles were working perfectly it would be unusable for my purposes anyway Overall I am disappointed in the app and would not recommend it to anyone who will primarily watch media with soft subtitles           Basic subtitle functionality is glitchy and lacks crucial features

I bring my iPad to travel with me a lot together with the hdmi line output so that I can watch movies on the hotel TV Somehow the output cannot be a full screen one              5 Stars if line out is full screen on tv

I bought Apple hdmi cable and this app to watch movies with iPad air2 But when I played movies with option tvout I could not see anything but sounds With option iPad then can see movie with sounds but not full screen I expected the function of YouTube but it was different Please fix this issue        iPad air2 hdmi tv out not working

Ive been a user of AVPlayer for over 3 years and it has been absolutely perfect but since getting an Apple TV i really need AirPlay support Im still in the market for a media player that has AirPlay support           Needs AirPlay support

I find this player to be a great tool to play my downloaded videos that usually needs to be converted to play on the iPad Just needs a repeat feature for video playback so I can play my music videos and let the this repeat by single music video or by folder Then it would be excellent tool for me Thank you for listening              Great player but needs one more feature

If theres more than one file in a folder on a DLNA server the program will list them all but no matter which you choose it will always play the last one Looks like the publisherauthor is out of business No updates no bug fixes support does not exist     BUG in UPnPDLNA

Ive been using this app for a long time After updating to the latest version now I hardly ever get through a show without it crashing And its not just a simple crash that kills the app and returns to my iPad home screen Its the kind of crash that makes the iPad restart as if it had just been turned on Ill give it a better rating when they fix this problem     Latest Version not so Great
