As far as I can tell there is no other app in the iOS universe that does what this app does I am a retired pastor and nothing has bothered me more than having someone s cell phone go off with the Star Wars Theme in the middle of my Sunday morning prayer Even worse when it s my own phone AutoSilent allows muting or UN muting by GPS location by caLendar event by repeating schedule or by one off timer set for whatever time you determine You can even set the radius around a location within which you wany your phone to be muted The authoreis responsive to suggestions and you won t be dissapointed with this well designed and highly useful app Late addition A problem showed up with iOS 11 and the author worked overtime to resolve it I wish every vendor were as committed to product excellence and customer support Superior design one of a kind paulinstl
When I first installed the app I was only using the timer option I turned off locations App would not turn off after X amount of minutes After contacting tech support it was learned that I needed to have location active always even if I was just using the timer function Since then the app has worked perfectly I have since added schedules to turn my iOS device off at night Then I started having extreme battery drain for the app For some reason that is no longer a problem Might have been fixed by an update of the app or of the iOS Overall I like the app It works as advertised And I found tech support superb The only suggestion I have is perhaps the prompts that explain the apps configuration could be improved Meets my needs Asmithusa

This app does one thing and it does it really well If you need your phone to be silent but you find you re constantly forgetting to turn off the ringer AutoSilent will look at whatever calendar s you want and automatically mute and unmute your phone It will also mute it when you reach a particular location on a predetermined schedule e g you work 8 5 but don t have things on your calendar the whole time or for a certain length of time e g you need not to be bothered for 25 minutes while you finish something or during an hour and 38 minute movie I ve used it for a little more than a year and it s great I had a minor technical issue and my emails to the developer were returned promptly and the issue was resolved quickly This is one app that is definitely worth paying for Does just what you need it to JB-PGH

This is the app I had wanted for several years Frankly the capability to silence your phone when you are in a meeting should have been built into iOS from the beginning This app does exactly what I want it to do it silences the phone for me during calendar events then turns the ring back on when the event is over I held off reviewing it only because I was seeing a larger than expected battery drain when I used teh app Part of the problem turned out to be that I had one of the iPhone6 batteries that had problems With that fixed this latest update of AutoSilent has basically eliminated that concern This is an indispensible app It has many useful options For example you can set it to ring if you are called twice in a row by the same number That s a great feature to reassure family or others that they can reach you when it s urgent to do so Several other features are available from the settings menu Note per a previous review turning off location manager in the app settings is a factor in reducing battery drain Location services must still be active for the application to work properly Unreservedly recommend now that battery drain minimal Mgwebster

The AutoSilent does not automatically silence it I think the app is crashing because if I kill the app and start it again then the app works but then it suddenly stops working within a day or two I have 5S and the most recent iOS version Do not upgrade
The software drains the battery and you have no control over what features are on or off I personally did not want to use the silence by location feature but the app requires it to be on Wish I could get my money back No Control
My only qualms about this app is that location services and background updates are required to be on at all times which burn up not only the battery life but also eat up data as is is constantly looking for your location and other data It works doing what it is supposed to do but I would like it to be able to run scheduled silencing without needing my location or background app running This shouldnt be necessary Added note alarms still sound while phone is on silent To some this is great to others not so great Just a heads up Works great except

The app works as described However my big issue is that Location Services has to be on ALL THE TIME even if you are not using the feature to silence your phone by location All this does is DRAIN MY BATTERY Most apps are vey focused on conserving battery life It would also be nice to have the ability to select phone numbers that are never silenced Basically provide the same capability as the iOS Allow Calls From feature Its also almost impossible to make 3 calls in 2 minutes to have a call not be silenced I think the iPhones Repeated Calls features that requires 2 calls in 3 minutes is a better limit I thought the app would be much more feature rich for the price I now own the app so Ill keep it but wont us it until they get the Location Services issue fixed Very disappointed Does the job but falls short

This app is exactly what I was looking for It has a built in scheduler that will silence ipad during all my classes and it also supports importing events from the default calendar This is perfect for my seemingly sporadic schedule as I will never need to worry about my ipad ringing in class The app was definitely worth the money Perfect

First its a real battery killer It doesnt show up that way though in the battery page in settings so its a bit deceptive Perhaps thats an iOS limitation But until I turned it off my battery would be down to half by early afternoon After it ends the day at about 75 so we are talking about a huge drain Biggest way to tell though is that when on iPhone reports standby usage equaling actual usage When off standby is much lower as expected Second the options in the app are very confusing and offer no details For example you can disable it as a background task but it still works in the background You can prevent it from always accessing location services but either way the location icon never turns off unless you actually turn off calendar silent Unfortunately the first part isnt the apps fault the second is It would seem iOS doesnt give you access to do this without constantly using location services Still while I love the functionality its just not with it if I can barely get through the day without the battery dying It works but

This app is absolutely critical to me to ensure my phone is quiet when it needs to be I have used it now for several years and it has been great The developer has been updating it regularly and has consistently addressed issues I highly recommend it Indispensable
It does the majority of what I want it to do but has room for improvement My biggest gripe is that all of my custom settings vanish with each new update Its really frustrating to have to reestablish my map settings and other preferences Its also a little weird that I have to create two settings in order to silence things overnight In other words it wont let me activate it from 10 pm to 8 am I have to create an entry for 10midnight and another for midnight to 8 I wish the app offered a little more flexibility I mainly want to use it to keep my phone iPad quiet overnight so theyre not chirping at me if someone takes a late night turn in Words With Friends etc It would be nice if I could keep the phones ringer activated at the same time though in case someone needed to reach me urgently at a lateearly hour without having to call 3 times It would just be nice to add some extra flexibility into the rules like that to allow for better customization My old Droid gave me some fantastic options like that Close to being great

Ive been searching the App Store for this ever since I switched to the iPhone 6 plus Theres a wonderful app on another platform that can mute my phone according to my schedule It also mutes my device overnight to an evening schedule I set up Thats all I wanted and AUTOSILENT does this ALMOST perfectly The ALMOST I dont use and dont want the location feature But AUTOSILENT insists on having the location feature enabled Lately the app has stopped releasing the GPS locator resulting in fast battery drain So yes I had to unload it and my battery issues are now resolved Almost what I needed
The app does what I want when I am at a particular location at a particular time my phone is silent My phone is automatically silent Sunday morning if and only if I am at church The timer is also extremely useful it tell the phone to be silent for a specified period of time and then returns to normal no more forgetting to turn alerts back on Also customer support is excellent They get back to you quickly and are helpful Works as expected

This is an overall good product You can set the app to auto silent for a certain time period everyday or you can sync it with your calendar to autosilent during meetings One problem that I have noticed is that the app will automatically come out auto silent mode depending on the WIFI connection This is just an annoyance for me not a deal breaker as most of the time i use this app Im within wifi range Overall good product if you have trouble remembering to toggle the hard switch back to ring mode like I do Overall good product

This is the app I have been waiting for for a long timeThe latest version fixes all the problems I had with the earlier version The battery life is acceptable Both the calendar and location triggers work flawlessly As a general rule I do not have to even think about this app 99 of the time It simply works Since the GPS is not perfectly accurate you will get better results setting the radius of sensitivity a little larger than you would normally do Caviat my phone use is light If you are a heavy user its possible that you will have problems with the battery running down before the day is out Keep a charger handy One of the most useful
