The app doesnt load at all Like two of the other reviews the cover page comes up for a few seconds then disappears What a waste of money Im very disappointed     rip off
This app is awesome                 Great app
Its too bad this is the only available iPad guide for mammals of N America because its a poor one A sample of the problems 1 The Ringed Seal a common N American species is not included 2 It has very few animal sounds even though many are available elsewhere For example it has no sounds for the Red Fox 3 There appears to be no key for the colors on the range maps 4 In reading about a mouse species I found a reference to the Deer Mouse but there is no Deer Mouse in the guide I have reported the Ringed Seal omission many times over the years to no avail We deserve better from something with the Audubon name on it     Audubon Guide Mammals of North America
I enjoy this guide I have several others in the series and they are all pretty much well done              Audobon Mammals
For the casual lover of nature Audubon books are a no brainier get them all                 Outstanding
Dont buy if you want to record you sightings The location function is broken It only shows the location of the companys office     Location for sightings is broken
I dont want to create an account I just want to view the data It stinks to be nagged every time especially in a paid app     A little annoying
Ive been very happy to use my various Audubon apps especially glad they have mammals flowers other things besides birds I have several different bird apps              Very happy with various Audubon apps
1 This App has the range of animals very incorrect they didnt even bother to enter the correct information Because of this I dont trust the information in this App 2 It doesnt have the name of a famous animal 3 There is no voice for any animal 4 The pictures that they chose are terrible 5 It does not have list of animal sightings     This App is Incomplete Incorrect
Very good app though it needs more voices and pictures needs to be able to rotate to landscape mode              Great app
I continue to be disappointed with all of the iPhone Audubon guides every time I try to use them My main disappointment is their inability to include all of the speciesdistinct subspecies in the app It seems every time I try to use the mammal or reptile app what I am looking for isnt there Todays example a ground squirrel in Idaho I read the description on the Colombian Ground Squirrel and they mentioned a couple of similar species in the write up the Idaho Ground Squirrel and the Washington Ground Squirrel When I went to look at these types I discovered that neither is included in the guide They reference two types in the description of another species and then dont include those in their app Really This has been a longstanding and consistent problem with both of the Audubon apps I have mammals and reptiles Blotched water snake No although it warrants a mention deep in the plainbellied write up but no pics Redtailed Chipmunk No Harris Antelope Squirrel Not in earlier versions of the app although it has now been added So they are improving albeit slowly At some point these folks will sit down and make this an allinclusive comprehensive app that will cover everything one might run across And their photos need upgrading For example there are many beautiful photos of male elk with impressive racks But no good pics of females Guess what guys Users are likely to run into females by themselves too Ill continue to use the app because there are no other options but I feel I have to point out the problems with the app There is so much potential for this to be a great app but the developers have just done a poor job     Disappointed every time I use it
This is a great app I too would appreciate more recorded calls but I understand the difficulty in obtaining them                 Audubon Mammals of North America
I am really pleased with this app Cant find a single thing about it that isnt great                 Bob
Love this app I use it wherever I go When I am in a foreign woods I use the app bird song to attract birds it always works Great way to keep a log of your own sightings and can add your own pictures as well                 Great app
If your looking for animal voices forget this app     Limited animal voices
All Audubon apps encourage you to set up an account but logging in never works And dont try to reset or request your password If you do you get an email saying your password has been reset and no information as to what the newtemporary password is Just dont set up an account Otherwise the app is great for information I just save my sightings and notes to my Evernote or Facebook accounts           App work great but logins dont work
The Audobon series of apps are an incredible resource I am a field biologist and use them daily Purchase them all for professional or personal use                 GREAT APPS
Thanks for the update but please dont hide the status bar or at least make an option to not hide it I use that area for gestures        Please dont hide the status bar
Wonderfuleasy to use App                 Audobon Mammels
Great app with plenty of information                 Audubon Mammals
I love having this field guide info at my finger tips but Id you dont know what youre looking for these really wont help Unlike the hardcopies the thumbnail pics are so small they are useless on both the iPhone and iPad Ive finally become frustrated enough to post this on all the guides Ive purchased with the hope that others will agree and get the developers attention since this I really the only major flaw in thaw otherwise excellent apps        Thumbnails too small
Awesome app This is much better than the book                 Fantastic
I absolutely LOVE this app It is great for any animal lover The only disappointment was that many of the animals didnt have any sound recordings which was one main reason I purchased the app so if the Audubon Society could get more sound recordingsI would be most grateful other than thatthis is a FANTASTIC guide and well worth the purchase But PLEASE add more sounds Thanks              Great appbut needs more sounds
Glad that this app was brought in line with the quality of Birds and Wildflowers                 Great App Great Update
Were is the voice of the animals I mean i bot it for 500 come on ubdate with sound pls              Good pics but
This version is broken After update Icon on my iPad just says Waiting and the icon is ghosted Cant open it Please fix this bug and I will give a 5 star rating     Version is busted Please fix bug
The ap is fine and relatively user friendly However it is filled with tons of wrong information especially regarding animal ranges For instance it shows that mountain lions dont live in South Dakota at all while in actuality there is such a lion problem there that the state has a very large mountain lion hunting season to deal with it This is just one example of blatantly wrong information For an selling itself as a guide for animals this is simply unacceptable     Inaccurate
I too am experiencing issues with the most recent updates released May 2015 I just installed the updates today 6262015 and now 7 of 9 Audubon Nature Apps I have had for three years are not working I get the initial cover pages for a few seconds and then they shut down Prior to this update I never had any issues and would rate these apps 5 stars But now very disappointing Shutting down and restarting the iPad did not solve the problem Deleting and reinstalling the apps also did not help I hope this issue can be solved ASAP as I use these apps extensively     Updates not working
Great apps when u r traveling easy to look up info on the animals Have it on my iPad too        Great apps
The resent update of the apps is not working The cover page comes up a few seconds and then the apps kicks out Old version worked okay           Mr
Better than the guide book Sounds etc                 Great app
Try to update Doesnt work no longer available     No longer available
    Love this app                 Biologist
I work for the developer and if someone is having a technical issue please contact us and we will help solve the issue                 Audubon Mammals
This app is amazing It might not get good reviews but it has tracks calls photos and almost all of North American wildlife ranging from bison to voles I would highly recommend this app It may be a little pricy but its worth it                 I LOVE
Love it Now I dont have to carry around all the books when going outdoors                 Awesome
Not too pleased with this app Range maps are deficient Good examples are black bear and pronghorn in CA Black bear known to occur in San Gabriel Mtns and coast range near San Luis Obispo And other SoCal areas but not shown on range map Also does not show distribution of pronghorn in Carizzo Plain I expect better Love the Calif birds app by Audubon Very disappointed with this one Suggest shopping around for a different mammal app     Range Maps Deficient
I am collecting all of these Great to have them on such a portable package                 Audubon apps are great
I enjoy all the Audubon apps that I have downloaded                 Awesome Apps
I really like this app Its fun and has lots of information I do however have a bit of a problem with the search function But I do like this app              Great app
Great for the outdoorsman                 Great app
I like the info presented ability to add notes but the location feature is absolutely awful Always starts me in Vermont and dice I live in rural Pennsylvania I am not happy Also very very difficult to actually mark where you saw an animal I will be playing with it more but there is a bug in the location portion of this app and likely all the Audubon apps              Nice app but
I love this app Generally good information on all mammals It could improve by providing tracks scat and sounds for all animals instead of occasionally providing them Some descriptions could use morebetter pictures              Great but could improve
Audubon is very good but no mammal sounds              Good app
I love this appI love animals and the outdoors and whenever I have a question I can just look it up This app is a must                 A must have app
Very useful and well organized Lots of good information                 Great App
All Audubon apps are awesome Highly recommend them to any onemy grandsons enjoy looking up various critters              Audubon Mammals
Whats there is quite good but way too many missing pages or work in progress One whale One moose           Disappointing
unless you are okay with having to sign up for an account to unlock all features For example you cannot record any observations at all not even a simple checklist without registering for an online account on their server If you have kids you cant just give them the app to use for counting sightings in parks They have to be signed up and these people need their email address Garbage     Do not buy
I am very happy with the recent updates I hope we can expect an iOS 7 native version soon as well              iOS 7
