This game is extremely addictive and since buying it Ive spend hours playing it The premise is pretty simple guide planes either to land at various airports across the airspace to a specific location or takeoff and fly to a specific location Its pretty simple to operate and youll be up and running in minutes The graphics are nice and there are enough options to keep you interested and when you set everything to the most difficult settings it can be quite the challenge The developer could make a few improvements I think relatively simply 1 Improve the intelligence of the planes You can have a plane lined up and having accepted landing clearance but if the speed is not dropped low enough they will execute a missed approach regardless of how far out you cleared them to land 2 The aircraft chance speed far too quickly dimming realism somewhat 3 You dont need to obey any separation rules so having an aircraft passing 100ft over another doesnt carry any penalty 4 Planes that appear for takeoff take far too long to line up on the runway It might also be nice to have a position and hold option as opposed to have them always taxi onto the runway and go 5 It would be nice if there was some sound when you send an instruction to an aircraft some actual ATC chatter would be great They are small things though and not having any of them has not lessened my enjoyment of the game I just think there are some opportunities to make a great game even better              Youll Find Your Day Disappears

As a pilot other more arcade apps for having fun with Air Traffic Control were recommended After trying two others I tried this one and I am very happy with it Buy the other ones if you have kids buy this one if you want to get hooked Requested improvements Improve fullmap display When tone sounds for new traffic I cant see the ENTIRE map in one view so I have to search for it Allow an option to let a thunderstorm roll through to require manveuvering around it Move info box out from under N at top of map Dont allow traffic to enter from under cardinal direction tags on edges and from under the transmit iconhave to wait too long to select them when I can see them come out from under the edge tags Allow more multiple airfield scenariosAndrews is sitting right there Recommend A stylus for selecting tiny icons in crouded areas              Very good game

This is a great game very realistic This was the first game I bought for the IPAD I would like to see more airport designed for this game I have played for about a year without an update to more airports Paying for the game I would think a variety of airports would be designed Thanks              Fun Game

I was afraid to get this sim bec so many similar ones are a pain to control This has sharpvivid color and the controls are very easy Please add pilot voices that respond when you give out atc commands and add kjfk and klga Thank you              WOWGREAT SIM

For those who enjoy Flight Control but wonder how realistic it is this game is for you Its not 100 realistic and still makes compromises in the name of fun but ATC Pro is much closer to what a real air traffic controller has to deal with than anything else Ive seen so far Pros realism tension good variety of scenarios and locations Cons when a new aircraft is given to you you get a chime but no indication of where it is so you have to go hunting Some sort of arrow would be nice Real controllers are told where incoming traffic is so this wouldnt be unrealistic When the display gets crowded it can be difficult to see and select individual aircraft When an aircraft crashes or is lost theres little indication given of which one suffered or why so its hard to see what you did wrong Dont let the length of the cons list fool you These are minor specific problems The pros far outweigh it This game is a bargain at 3              Lots of fun

This is a great game and highly addictive It does crash once in a while after finishing a game and tapping ok I would like more airport choices If you fix the crashing problem this is a five star game              Great game

Planes taking off and accelerating to 400 knots Also there are no penalties or altitude restrictions Could use a compass rose around airport as well as ability to giver specific headings not just in thirty degree increments This could be a killer app but needs a bit more Oh and please add some ambiance sound           Not realistic

Decades ago I played a realistic ATC sim on I think it was Windows R3 I have been looking for a good replacement ever since I finally found one ATC ProHD is the right blend of realism ease of learning and play and addicting fun The game is well designed and robust and plays well on the original iPad and the iPad 2 I learned the simple controls quickly You start with training to direct landings and takeoffs Once this training is complete you progress through packaged simulations of increasing difficulty One suggestion for a future version is to provide an option in the more advanced sim levels to set the arrival rate of new aircraft and the maximum number of aircraft This would give finer level of control over sim difficulty and perhaps add a timing component to scoring Great sim                 Great ATC Sim

I bought this because it was cheaper than flight control but now i regret paying for it should have bought flight control This was just not fun at all     Regret

I can not use it any more since speed control does not show        Speed control is not available

If you just want to draw cute lines on your screen you should look elsewhere But if you want a realistic air traffic sim then you should definitely get this app at least I think its realistic Ive never been an air traffic controller On the iPad it is really nice and the larger screen makes it much more enjoyable Bein on the west coast Id love to see some west coast airports lax sfo or seatac I dont have much more to add than the last reviewer But if you are an aviation buff or like xplane youll like this app                 Great sim

This is NOT a game like Flight Controlrather its a simulation of air traffic control around the airports of Detroit Dallas Chicago OHare and Washington DC Reagan formerly National To that end not really a kids game ok maybe smart geeky kid Aircraft with different characteristics speed and fuel load and different goals cross the screen and exit at a particular compass point land at the airport take off and get handed off to departure through a compass point come and go Your job is to give them approximate directions to get them where they need to go if for example they are supposed to land into a cone shaped area at no more than 200 mph and no more than 1000 feet off the ground at the right end of the runway or get them aimed in approximately the right direction without an altitude conflict with another aircraft to get them released out the side of the mapand so on It requires thinking out what is going on assigning priorities the plane with low fuel gets first stab at the runway and above all keeping aircraft out of the same area of airspace if they are at roughly the same altitude The IPads greater screen real estate makes this all much easier than it was on the IPhone particular in landscape mode Some suggestions for the developer provide some guidelines for players about how much vertical and horizontal separation must be kept to avoid a conflictcollision between aircraft Have a novice mode that maps out what the approach cones are for runways fans shaped highlights at the end of each runway For more sophisticated players make the fuel model more complex with least fuel burn while descending and decelerating more when climbing accelerating or running fast 500 mph at low levels and commensurately lower at high altitudes and so on To drive people REALLY crazyadd the restricted airspace around Reagan in Washington White House Pentagon whatnot whoa what an eye opener Great simulation and a lot of funthanks for the programming work to bring it to us                 Much better on the IPads big screen more a simulation than a game

This is the best air traffic sim game out there right now Having real life air port layouts adds to the game but wish there were more cities and challenges available Time flies pun intended once you get into this game              Great game

This could be a much better game than it is Its not perfect Little things like being able to direct heading in 45 degree increments only Altitude and speed adjusters need to be larger for better control There needs to be some sort of indicator for planes you cant see off screen Hard to tell when a new one is incoming because there is no warning           Great idea but lacking

Great app but you need more airports How about adding Heathrow EGLL because it is so busy and San Diego Intl KSAN because it only has one runway           Great App

Needs more airports please and an option of 25 planes at one time No fly zones would be great And please please implement an option that lets you play with enforced vertical 1000 ft and lateral 3 nm separation              Great game

This was a good app until iOS 83 when the slide controls stopped working Another thing when you link out to the developers website or link to support it takes you directly to Apple Inc website for iCloud settings        IOS 83

I would like to see more major airports such as KSFO KLAX KOAK and KSMF I think thats the IACO code for Sacramento Metro always get Sacramento Metro and Sacramento Executive confused Make the surrounding map a bit lighter in color to dark and lose the blue taxiway lines they bear no relevance to the game Other than that awesome                 Awesome game but

I would have liked this app but there are key features missing For example I am not a pilot so I don t know where runway R8 is at OHare airport Next for game makers to say HD on their games the games should actually have to be in HD The quality of this game is almost as bad as the quality of running an iphone game blown up to full size on the ipad Lastly it would be nice if this game had some easy listening background music insted of dead silence silence unless you crash in which you hear a very trite explosion sound In conclusion i would recommend avoiding this app unless there are some if not many major updates     Not worth it

This is a good atc sim As a CTI student in training this one offers some fun and realistic things such as handoffs and speed However my favorite ATC app is still ATC                 A good ATC game

This is like flight control except more detailed It takes advantage of the iPad screen size and I would recommend it One issue is that the airport diagrams become blurry when zoomed in                 A good game

The controlling features of the aircraft are not real or actual in any way Please visit an ATC near you and copy their screen Its not realistic at all On the atc screen u cannot see ground or runway lights Its supposed to be black screen with green dots or squares with info in boxes Plz refund me my money           Horrible

Each time I successfully complete landing 5 aircraft the app crashes and when I relaunch it forgets that Ive successfully completed this level The next level should be unlocked for me but isnt           App crashes

Great game overall Would be nice if there was audio transmitting all commands to the planes and any communications from the flights The lack of the audio makes the game a bit boring due to silence Please include that in an update as that would make the game 100 more enjoyable           Decent Sim

A good game that is fun to play though I do wish it had a few more features Id love to hear some ATC chatter when you give commands to planes Warning sounds would also be great when planes get close etc One of the disappointing things I ran across is that after you release a plane the plane would turn around and head straight toward the airport Argh One suggestion I have is that once you give a plane a command to land itd be cool if there was a small line or something similar that showed which runway it is going to land on              Good game could be better
