Hi this a very good hex game I enjoy playing even if lose frequently on the the hard settings My problem with this game is I am having a lot of freezes on the simulator side and outright crashes when I auto load it and the screen is black with the word null at the bottom of the screen Have you guys presently got a bug fix for this I would appreciate it Thank you for your time Very good game update bugs have been mostly fixed still the best war strategy game out there I am not into the rpg stuff because I did it for real at one time and that ladyboy stuff does not even come close to a real fear of dying                     Need To fix freezes and crashes Masae102011

This game is almost like revisiting the Panzer General Allied General SSI games of old I wish it was a bit more expansive and included more types of units airborne in particular and larger maps for bigger battles I ve beaten the game many times on hard and wish there was more to challenge me I purchased Armament but some glitch kept it from unlocking beyond the first scenario of each campaign I even deleted it and tried to re purchase it but to no avail I Tunes tried to help but eventually refunded my purchase price Did anyone else have this prob At any rate I m starving for more Please keep it coming                 Excellent game Nobammy Bin Lyin

I would actually five this 5 stars but I know you guys look at the reviews with a low number of stars Now look I love this game but on the hotseat games against the computer it doesn t really make a move It s so boring since all I do is advance and win I suggest you guys make this game just a bit harder Also have a multiplayer option online Also give us three options of easy med hard on the hotseat games against the computers One last thing it would really be awesome if you make helicopters on this one that can carry troops and fire at enemies Thanks     Please fix FIZ THIS PLEASE

I ve played every scenario and every campaign now several times I ve played them on easy Normal and hard Its a shame that there are no more battles to play I also tried their other game Assault 2028 or whatever blah blah year That s a joke The futuristic aspect of the graphics make the already weak graphics on this game look great by comparison Assault Commander s graphics are crude and look like they were written for some sort of 1970 s technology screen and not for a Retina iPad screen So overall I give this a meh Its fun and challenging for awhile But once you re done you re done Going back and playing the same battles over quickly becomes boring Hopefully someday someday soon the developers will come out with an update In the meantime I think I just have to put this thing down Its gotten boring         Meh Boring Zone2Spend

Gameplay is fairly good even though the lack of any documentation means you have to figure out even the basics right down to what the attributes of your unit are and mean However the AI lacks any real intelligence and as compensation usually starts the more difficult levels with tons of units that you basically have to wade through In addition you don t get to use the really interesting units until you ve captured enemy factories which are so close to the enemy base that the scenario is all but over by the time the units are ready At least for the early scenarios I can t speak for the later scenarios because the AI locks up the game in my case on mission 5 and since later missions are locked down until you complete the one before it your game is over Speaking of which while it makes perfect sense for let s say a puzzle or an adventure game to lock down later rooms puzzles it makes no sense to do that in a mission based combat game And further if the game wasn t locked down in this childish way I could at least have skipped the broken missions and come back to them when if they were fixed All in all game play is decent one you figure it out but from a strategic viewpoint the game disappoints Company needs a writer for some kind of documentation and editor to make better strategic designs a programmer to fix the AI and an adult to tell them not to treat the nice folks with the money like kids             Adequate Eric120983

One of my favorites This is a fun and challenging game when played on the hard level Equipment options improve as you progress up the levels Battles can take some time which is nice My only suggestion is to add more campaigns I would gladly pay for this ability as I have completely run out of things to do with the game I m thinking that additional campaigns through an in app purchase would do really well for the publisher                     Great need more campaigns Straighoutta818

This is really a pretty nice game Nice selection of units solid graphics and the play system is good It feels like the old DOS Panzer General with modern interface The program seems to function fine no freezes or crashes The missions are not terribly creative for the most part You start out with an inferior collection of units and have to claw your way up The computer player isn t terribly bright hence it tends to have a lot more than you do Still it is a fun game and well worth checking out This game could really use a manual to explain some of the combat statistics and terrain effects Also the game offers in game purchases which is minorly annoying but I think you have to buy extra units and whatnot to stand any chance winning the last scenario of the first campaign which I think is scummy and why I m not giving this game a 5 star rating Other than that it s a nice game to have in the collection                 Modern Panzer General gotcha at end Dr-Dirt

My experience in games like this started in college in the 70 s my ROTC friends introduced me to Waterloo a paper board game with a hex grid cardboard unit markers and dice and a results table to tell you who won each unit s engagement Followed that with the great Avalon Hill games like Blitzkrieg WWII Eastern Front D Day Africa Korps and Tactics II it added nukes They were lots of fun but a complete game could take an entire weekend Computerizing it as this game does is fantastic They were good training for I completed ROTC and served in the US Army as an Infantry officer from 75 80 Most of that time I was assigned to a mechanized Infantry Battalion in Germany 22 months of my tour was in the Operations section as Assistant S 3 The gaming experience helped me in that job as one of my duties was Alternate TOC tactical operations center commander This game and it s companion Armament 2028 are both great and lots of fun Have not had any problems so far running it on iPad 1 Highly recommend                     Great tactics simulator Jckb29

Freezes have been very infrequent and have been recoverable The game is quite good as it is but needs some changes to make very good There is a lack of communication throughout Many other games provide documentation on their components AC would benefit greatly from doing the same The graphics would benefit greatly from higher quality definition Also targets in mountainous terrain is are hard to see We are given no clue about what factors and their weights that go into computing a score It appears that killing a minor units bears the same weight as the killing of a major unit             0050 WIBatch

There are limited descriptions of unit capabilities and there are two unit types that I have never been able to use for an attack No matter how many turns they sit and regardless of the number of spaces between units It says 2 but that isn t correct Meanwhile the AI uses the same unit from 5 spaces away     Problems Chris R217

Updated Assault Commander Ultimate and Armament 2028 were the two best turn based hex board strategy games available in my opinion If you read the description above you will see I highly recommended them The AI update has turned them into frustrating to play and extremely difficult to win even in the easy mode too many times I do expect to lose games some times but in my opinion this is ridiculous I m housebound and play these games a lot The AI has gone from being a little heavy handed in favor of the AI to being blatantly pro AI Some of the quirkier things I have noticed since the AI update are Original campaign map 8 End game This has always been a challenging map to play but before the AI update it could be won even in the hard mode Since the update I have played about 16 games in the easy mode and have not been able to win one In one game 6 strategic bombers were attacking the human forces at once All the resource producing buildings are now guarded usually by infantry and another unit which makes you have to eliminate the AI infantry before you take the building By the time you have done that the cruiser and air planes have eliminated your unit This map is a waste of time to play in my opinion Even if you meet the stated winning condition of eliminating all AI units occasionally the AI chugs along how ever long it takes for it to gain enough resources to create a new unit This continues until you capture the headquarters AI armored cars can shoot at and reduce the strength of vessels in the water Human controlled ones can t Three human controlled missile soldiers brown all of which are full strength 10 and have some experience versus one AI missile soldier blue whose strength is 7 The three brown soldiers all attack and each loses one strength point The blue soldier loses none Occasionally blue units refuse to be eliminated until one more turn goes by no matter how many units you have attack the blue unit The strength bar decreases to almost nothing but the unit isn t eliminated even if attacked a few more times AI units occasionally move twice in the same turn AI units occasionally attack and then are allowed to move Two full strength fighter bombers attack an AI armored car but it only loses one strength point There are other things which aren t right but I ve typed enough If you reset the AI back to the way it was I ll be back to 5 stars New game planned         AI Update is a disaster rooterscooter

Played every level on my IPAD 2 with newest operating system updates Had NO problems of any kind I found the game to be a good challenge and enjoyed it very much Is it difficult at times yes Would I want it any other way NO Why would you want it to be easy If you think carefully and play out a good strategy there is a way to win every level which I have done PLEASE MAKE MORE LEVELS One of the best turn based strategy games I have played in several years and the best I have found on the IPAD Worth the money I paid Have Fun                     Great game PikeD
