Artforum, the international art world`s magazine of record, is now available for the iPad. For over fifty years, Artforum has reported on the world of ideas with insight and authority. Ten times a year, our roster ...
It s not Artforum that s charging twice Apple doesn t allow them to give access to their subscribers It s Apple that s being greedy Apple would demand 40 of every subscription simply for allowing Artforum to upload their content If you re a subscriber just go on line and log on and Artforum will happily supply all their content at no extra charge hold on there UK Johnny
A for the content The app has everything you get in the print version including the adverts B for how that content comes to the user The text is not rendered in a way that you d expect from an ereader publication You cannot resize the text highlight make notes or select any of the words for a wiki or definition which at times art forum requires a dictionary on the side It feels like they took their print layout and simply pasted it into the iPad format Still I d rather a half satisfying app than the mountain of printed magazines Almost there JMorri10
As a print subscriber I don t have access to the digital download unless I pay for the issue twice Print subscribers should get access to digital version or at least a discounted version Sent email to magazine customer support and no response I don t think they really care Digital Access for print subscribers bigbarf
Looks stunning on retina ipad well done Beautiful easy to navigate rainyeswindno
The Artforum app is beautifully designed and easy to navigate Vertical and horizontal scrolling and a good table of contents let s you jump around articles freely Much easier to read on the subway than the print edition While I agree it would be nice to access the app with your subscription the app is worth the extra when you want to read the magazine on the go Well designed and convenient sambwils
I began reading reviews as it downloaded No free digital copy for print subscribers I will delete this app once the download is complete What DavidWillburn
Charging 50 for a digital subscription for print subscribers is absurd I would be willing to pay up to 10 yr to add digital but others give it away for free Why doesn t Artforum do that I guess they don t have enough ads to support that No digital access for print subscribers Zxcfvb
As a print subscriber I should have access to the digital copy Artforum is being greedy at this point Terrible Zhiwan
This is the worst print magazine marketing idea ever make your longtime subscribers pay you twice for the same content I like and subscribe to the print edition but there is no way I am going to pay the same fee again for the same product I already paid you for Total fail Worth twice the price No donebylee
Why can t print subscribers access the iPad edition too It s useless otherwise in my opinion Huh brianlbishop
Really convenient but I wish you could access back issues as well No back issues Kadada24
Why only vertical orientation Lame oversight especially for those of us who do most of our iPad reading on a stand that only orients the machine horizontally Otherwise a very good translation Great app except Bmedge
I was excited to be able to read Artforum on my iPad and not have to carry around the magazine But this app does not take advantage of the iPad You can only read with your iPad in the vertical position not horizontal which is not always desirable In addition you cannot expand the screen to make images and text larger This is a huge flaw since the iPad format means the visuals are at a reduced size to begin with I think this was really a missed opportunity Not well formatted for iPad Skyera
one of the best parts about art forum all the ads with their photos yay it s got all the gallery ads gregorylent
