Art Set - Pro Edition

This is the best app I have ever used and I hope it stays that way I am old school when it comes to creating my art and when I post my work on my Facebook page everyone wants to know how I did it So you should see an increase in the use of this app just from my community of art friends                 Great App

The medium in the set acts like real world art tools I will give this 5 stars once you add water colors I use them most in illustrations and would be wonderfully happy if you add them              Very nice

Ive only used this for a day but it is very intuitive and responsive to my touch My Wacom stylus doesnt work very well with it but it was easy to draw with just a finger I especially like the multiple types of media and papers that are included It responds as if Im drawing on actual paper Sketch lines look like sketch lines and the colors blend nicely This is by far my favorite iPad drawing app so far                 Love this

I dont know why I havent reviewed this app yet I suppose because Im too busy using it Never a crash Ive used all but one of the seemingly popular apps for art and I constantly come back to this one and the developers dont bug you about reviewing it every other launch in fact they never do 6 stars for that 2 things this is really an application for ppl who already know how to use these tools in the traditional sense If I had not had countless hours in studio art courses throughout college and at my home studio I might find the lack of layers and option to fine tune tool sizes angles shapes opacity etc annoying but in fact thats exactly what separates it from the rest and creates a near flawless simulation No going back to readjust some brush by numeric increments its so much more like the real thing that my results beckon questions like is this oil or acrylic no joke the only other thing is that I would like to know that in the future I can have my work printed on canvas at exhibition size 56 high would be perfect I love this app and I cannot recommend it enough just be aware that the PRO upgrade is an accurate qualifying term                 Impeccable Perfection

I am brand new to art of any kind I wanted to learn but without the mess and expense From what I see its lovely Yes it may be awhile before I actually get to the point where Ill be doing more than stick figures but I think Ill get a lot of use out of this app              Looks Promising

I have both versions and just upgraded to pro and honestly I dont think it was worth the upgrade If you are choosing between the two stick with the original I love that one thus one is a meh They changed the draws and not for the better in the original it would keep all the items you used in a session in the draw so it was a breeze to switch between penbrushescrayons or colors in the item you used Now you have to go hunt them over and over Original is setup better you just have fewer mediums to choose from but I really dont see enough of a difference in the new stuff to see the worth Over all the app is fun and if you have not tried the original then you wont know the difference but upgrading is a disappointment           Worth the up grade

I love the realistic feel especially the way the pastel sticks blend together Would like to suggest just a few things that would improve workflow 1 Canvas rotation while working 2 Either stylus support for pressure or size and opacity settings for tools 3 The way the free version groups the tools that you have just used in the pencil box is very cool but taken away when you buy pro Why is this Would be better to still have4 And maybe Im being greedy but having layers could be good too I like the app just needs some other interface options to compete with the other popular art apps for ipad When Im really working on something I find myself going to use another app if Im just passing time and playing around I use art set Would like to utilize art set to do whole projects but the lack of certain functions makes it difficult              Greatly good but could be completely awesome

Very nice app It would be much better with option of adding layers water color and air brush with the ability to add masks              Very nice but

Do you want an art app so cool youll have to wash the paint off your fingers when you are done Art Set Pro is what you want Nothing comes closer to feeling like you put on a smock set up your easel and have mixed your actual paints than this app The paint looks real Intuitive design keeps you moving like an impressionist dabbing daubing and smearing beside a river in Paris Everything seems to have been designed with one ideawhat is it like to actually use these tools Has paper textures                 Love it Favorite art app

This is a wonderful app and I am very frustrated by the fact that something happened when I upgraded to iOS 8 I can no longer upload past paintings from my gallery to work further on them The canvas comes up blank Please Please fix this great app I am not the only one who has had this experience                 I0S 8 problems

This is what any artist would love to have The brushes the paints pencils markers and even a spongeand moreblenders etc Thank you to the developers I have already finished my first painting and cannot wait to do another                 An artists dream

I love this app The pro edition is ver versatile and offers endless color adjustments I find Art Set to be more intuitive to use than many of the other art apps Kudos                 My goto art app

Very upset I love Art Set and was excited to upgrade but now I feel all I did is waste my money on an app that constantly crashes right in the middle of a project     Keeps Crashing

This is an amazing app for drawing painting The textures are incredible However there is one flaw The app crashes a lot on iPad deleting your most recent progress on a painting Hopefully this can be fixed in an update pleas fix this soon Its been deleting so much of my work              Greatish

The tools are wonderful and so close to the actual I do miss having the drawer from the regular version that kept the tools and colors you were using There are many other programs that have layers but this one is awesome even without them My wish would be added support for the Adonit Jot Touch with Pixelpoint That would be fantastic                 I Love This App

This app has potential The problem is there isnt an adequate tutorial But the biggest problem is that there is no app support When you go to the app and click on apps support it brings you to support for photography app and theres no support for the art app        NO SUPPORT FOR ART APP

Love this app but it has some weird glitches going on since the iOS 8 upgrade My paintings are stuck in upside down orientation and new pages open with previous painting until you tap the screen I am hoping for some fixes and some improvements such as layers and letting paint dry           Needs updates after iOS 8

Fun Intuitive app with a pleasing layout No layers which is a huge negative Also no way to know or change your canvas size No tool customizable tool options apart from the oil painting brush Still its a nice effort and has the potential to become great with some much needed enhancements           Desperately needs layers

Finally found the art app Ive been looking for Great results with no lag Feels personal with just the right amount of stuff                 Now I can settle in

I have art set pro and it is the most amazing app I have I thought drawing carl was a good drawing app but this one is ten times better I think this is absolutely worth the money I recommend it to anyone who wants to paint anywhere This may sound like an exaggerated review but I ensure you that this is a actual App Store customer and not the creator or relative of the creator of this app I LOVE this app This is a must need I am not an artist but I can draw amazing things with this program So cool                 Amazing

Really really fun and realistic to work with from the textured papers and canvases to the paints pencils and crayons to the incredible smudges Terrific colors too that mix like real paint So happy its been updated for os8 Get it Its worth every penny                 My Most Favorite Drawing And Painting App

Aside from a few things that could be added to this app Its hands down the best app Ive used And I bought around 20 or so The tester of the canvases is spot on and the paint is not flat It has texture too If you print on a good printer it actually looks like you took a pic of a real painting The blending of colors is nailed perfectly It truly is worth every cent you paid for it and then some                 The best art app period

Even if you save it it doesnt save Have to make another copy every 5 minutes before it crashes Not worth the money UPDATE It now crashes every 10 seconds Unusable crap     Closes every 5 minutes

Its absolutely great so get it Two things would make it better First is layers Secondly it would help if you could quickly switch back and forth with your current choice and eraser Maybe a way to switch back to last tool would work out But you should still get it                 Its great but

This is by far my favorite art app I gave it 3 stars only because it doesnt have the option for a translucent background which is hard to change in Photoshop if its an intricate drawing           Love but

This is a great program A nice selection of tools and an interface that doesnt get in the way I loved Procreate but there are too many steps to adjusting the brushes Not so with Art Set Pro Having said that the app needs layers or a way to simulate dry paint that one can paint over without age ting the underlying paint The lack of that ability is what keeps it from being the best              Intuitive controls but missing key feature

I really like this app It does a great job of mimicking traditional mediums Love the different papers and canvases also But I dont think you can call this a PRO version I cant adjust the size of the eraser or most of the tools This makes erasing a large area very tedious Wish there were a selection tool of some kind so that it were easy to erase or move an area of my work Theres also no quick way to clear the canvas to start over You have to delete your work and create a new canvas Despite how this sounds I really like this app But its lacking some components that make it a big contender for other art apps I love the simplicity of it and its pleasant to work with Not really ready for professional use just yet              I really like it but

There are lots of apps for artists but this one has the feel and texture of all these great mediums They are also set up like a true palette Really really fun the only thing missing is a few more mediums Airbrush at least Thanks for this app everyone should have it                 My favorite App

Probably the best sketching experience Ive found on the iPad Helps me get closer to the kind of results I would get with actual physical art tools I also find it easier to sketch for whatever reason I wonder if adding layers would improve the experience or hinder Also being able to choose a higher resolution canvas might be good for the developers to add                 Closest to real life

Love the app its my fave painting app However it is crashing at random and I lose all of my work progress It makes me wary to use it              Crashes

I own just about every major drawingpainting app This one is one of my favorites for natural media Faster and feels more realistic than others Layers would be a nice addition but who cares Its still an amazing app                 Amazing app

Why anyone would bother with 53 Paper is beyond me Art Set Pro Sketches and ArtRage far exceed Paper If you are a traditional artist buy this app                 Should be on Apples Featured Store

Art Set Pro has the best real paint effects Ive seen yet on the iPad The only thing that would make it better would be to have stylus support for Adonit and Wacom Many thanks to the developers of this amazing app                 Excellent painting app

This is a great app although I have noticed if you spend maybe more than a half hour in the app it wont save your work This as any artist knows is extremely frustrating Ive almost thrown my iPad across the room in anger SAVE MY FLIPPING WORK           Fix a bug and it will be perfect

I used the free version for months but it was too limited to keep me using it The Pro Edition is worth the cost The textures are so realistic and the color mixing is very true Being able to save a color you have mixed is fabulous Good size choice of brushes but the really amazing thing is that you choose how much paint you want to use on the brush The gestures to accomplish the charging is very realistic so it is very mush a painters app rather than a computer approach I would love to see an airbrush added to the toolset This is my new sketchbook and I am not limited to pen and ink Since it accepts imported photos I have also used                 Excellent Product

LOVE this app It has always worked great until this past week now the app randomly closes and I lose all my work Super frustrating Can we please get a fix Love this app when it is working and I do not want to switch              Need an Update

See I have the art apps such as Procreate and Artrage Compared to them this app is fine The oil painting is a joy to use but everything else is well meh I also wish they would give a page clearing option too So I do think this app deserves only three stars do to these minor issues           Very Good Not One of the Greats

I agree with Fanmann3 Although I do love the options provided in this app I was disappointed that the pro version did not have a feature that allows us to change the size of tools I have a difficult time mixing colors with the tissue feature because it mixes such a large area Please fix in the next update Overall this is the best drawing app Ive gotten so far              Great but needs work

I find this tool indispensable to practice my art especially when I am away from my studio It is difficult to carry paper brushes paints and pastels along while on the road This app enables the artist to practice with a large variety of mediums and paper                 Easy to use variety of mediums

I have nearly all of the art apps Procreate etc this app is glorious Easy user interface great color selections It is the most like true medium that I have come across Worth every penny Best iPad painting app ever                 W o n d e r f u l
