Ive spent three nights out on two separate trips and this app has worked excellently i also purchased the two 99 cent apps that are available on the store now and was disappointed they are missing necessary features to make them useful and are unstable one crashed repeatedly every few minutes This app has worked exactly as described both in the foreground the background and while the phone is asleep Fantastic Ive also chatted with the developer by email and he Is committed to the future development and support of the app including some really cool and useful features such as on the fly switching of the anchor location Dont hesitate to buy this app as a backup to your current gps nav station or as part of a standalone gps solution along with the excellent navionics app for navigating the best part is you can take it downstairs into the bunk with you and check the anchor without getting out of bed                 Excellent app

This is a terrific app for sailors It saved me from running aground on a stormy night when both of my anchors slipped in a gale The app woke me up just in time                 Must have app

Twice this week I awoke to find the app had crashed during the night If that is a problem with my phone then the system is too hazardous to use If that is a problem with app then the system is too hazardous to use        Crash problem

I just upgraded to the latest version and I applaud the anchor offset function however the method of setting up the offset is frustrating to use I used it this past weekend on the boat and found the procedure for setting the offset by dragging the map almost useless unless the boat was perfectly still Many times when I am setting the anchor I am in a tight cove where I dont have much time to be giving my attention to any thing other than that process I found that trying to move the map to get the distance correct for the rode length took too many attempts It would be much more user friendly if the user could set their anchor let it dig in keep the tension on the rode pick up the iphone select SET select OFFSET enter a DISTANCE enter a DIRECTION and be done with it Allowing the phone to pick a direction by pointing it at the anchor did not work well for me either as the boat moved from side to side I constantly had to keep looking up and pointing my iPhone at it It would be much easier to glance at the compass while the rode was tight and enter that heading The distance only allows setting the rode length to 125 ft This value should be increased to at least 200 feet I commonly anchor with 125 feet of rode and sometimes more depending on the scenario           Still needs some work to increase ease of use

Wow really works well just need to start the program and let the GPS settle on your position before pressing set I tried it in my back yard and it really works good It will be a great backup to my anchor alarm on my GPS It actually seems to work better than the one in my Garmin marine GPS                 Anchor Alert

It works good BUT There is no way to turn off the app once you open it At least on my phone It keeps running the location icon until I power down the phone Battery will be dead in 2 hours Needs bug fix        Not so fast

Love this app The one thing I dont like about AA it is too easy to accidentally hit Clear and you lose everything At that point you have to hit New Offset              GREAT APP just needs a few tweets

Great app especially with the image background for visual reference I really appreciate the ability to see how the boat is moving around the anchor on rainy nights or after that big wind shift And the alarm ring lets me know right away if the anchor is holding or dragging This app takes some of the stress out of those dark and stormy nights                 Sleep better with this app

Works great and love that it works in the background and while the phone is alseep This is a great backup to expensive GPS and big energy saver for my boat                 Excellent App

This app works great with one shortfall It doesnt run in the background As long as you leave the app running in the foreground it works great If you exit the app the alarm wont sound No big deal Just make sure the app is running in foreground and your ringer is turned up before you hit the hay Other than that works greatI slept much better at anchor knowing my hook was not dragging UPDATE developer has updated program to run in the background I use this program all the time Changing rating to 5 stars                 Almost Perfect

This app is fantastic I bought it while at sea and used it the same instant The app is so assuring seeing your boat on the map and knowing that you havent drifted off out of where your safety ring is placed Highly highly recommended                 Sleep well at sea

Works wellbut watched my boat drag anchor from the restaurant I was at ashore Can it dial another phone or send an email if the alarm goes off That would be very handy              Nice
