AmphibiaWeb is an app that gives you information about all amphibian species (frogs and toads, salamanders and newts, and caecilians), including pictures, sounds, and even specimen collection points. The app will find all amphibians around ...
Thanks to this app i found out about amphibians that i didnt even know about in my area Really good app By the way Berkley of California is a college that studies herpetology Herpetology is the study of amphibians                 Great information
This version seems to fix all the issues noted in earlier reviews Now you can also email the developer to suggest new features about screen The map can be set to view ranges or points or both                 great fixed issues
I ended up not liking this app much The pictures are grainy Your first views of the species names are in Latin Not helpful if you know a little about amphibians enough to know common names but not Latin names There are very few frog sounds I didnt keep this app on my phone        Grainy pictures and more negatives
Since I use the website daily this app allows me to quickly search and browse AmphibiaWeb content wherever I am I prefer the app for listening to calls than the website version too since I often have my laptop muted The improved maps are fast and very useful Thanks AmphibiaWeb                 Works on my iPad and itouch
I am very disappointed The feature for finding amphibians in ones locale fails because the locator doesnt work And then there is no way to identify an unknown amphibian You can only look them up by name which assumes you already know what your amphibian is But if you already knew that you wouldnt need this thing Worthless     Doesnt work
this new update fixed all the issues I like the look and feel This app is great for natural history hikes                 love the range maps
Allows you to read up on local amphibians and also allows you to search for different ones Great app and very highly recommended for all amphibian enthusiasts My one suggestion though is more calls be added for the frogs Some have them but others lack them                 Great app
Great app I would recommend to any herp fanatic The app sometimes crashes when viewing some species I would like if snakes and other reptiles were added to the list Overall an awesome app Thank you              Very informative but some issues
When I try to view the information for many of the salamanders the app crashes Though it has some terrific basic information its not worth the time to reload to app Please repair        Crash crash crash
If you travel a lot it is great to have to scope out the amphibians in the area Gives a lot of good info on each species and is easy to use AmphibiaWeb is a site I always used before because of their comprehensive list of amphibians as well as their accurate detail about each animal Glad them came out with an app                 Get it
