This app is fantastic for those of us who like to ski or snowboard and keep up with our friends It gives me incredible information about my runs as well as those of my friends The new Trace that is coming out later this year will be great for surfing and skateboarding I highly recommend this app                 Incredible App

Stats are inaccurate They are totally off This used to be a great app but every time I use the app now it only records a tiny portion of the entire ski day        Inaccurate

When I first downloaded the app I couldnt wait to try it out However after multiple times trying to measure my run it just wouldnt work I then took another phone and measured it on the same run and while my phone didnt work the other one did Very disappointed my GPS always works but for some reason this app doesnt work on my phone     App Doesnt Work

This app is great Something Ive been waiting for for such a long time Ive always been told I ski fast but could only guess at how fast fast was Now I know for sure thanks to Trace I am fast But more than just speed the app is a great resource to summarize your whole day on the mountain Ive been telling all the skiersboarders I know to get it Thanks Dave for your help as well fixing a missing run so quickly That run made me the fastest at Stratton this year Big bragging rights                 OUTSTANDING

Great app but this version doesnt fix how slow the app runs Im using a iPhone 6 Also the monthly totals of how many days riddenvertical feet has been removed under the profile section of the app Id like to see that make a return in the next update        Still slow

My friends and I have a lot of fun with Trace Snow Ive been using it for many seasons and have noticed that the phone plays a big part in how well the app runs My LG and my new iPhone work great and stats are accurate Had a Blu Studio and the gps couldnt keep up Other tracking apps are NOT as accurate Heres my caution to new users when u turn the app on put your phone in a safe pocket and leave it there Play with it on lift and bye bye phone Love Trace                 Caution

Second Update I completely uninstalled the app then re installed afresh All my data reappeared new session data is now correct and performance feels better So if your upgrading from the pervious and have issues then try a fresh install Back to 4 stars give me the monthly totals back and you get 5 First Update previous session totals will not clear from current session App crashed and losing data DONT UPDATE yet Original Im a big fan but PLEASE bring back the monthly totals to the home screen Removing useful info hasnt gained anything aesthetically so why Cant say I noticed performance increase with the last update              Monthly Totals

Its good and fun lets you compare you to others in your area or just your friends                 Awesome

To Whom it May Concern First off I am really enjoying my trace device It has given me a new motivation to get out on the mtn on less than perfect days I do have some suggestions that I think could really enhance the user experience 1 I am a multi sport user and I would assume there many others If both apps were combined into one it would make the app much easier to view A solution for the users only active in either snow or surf is to add a filter in your news feed or user profile Also it may help the rankings in the App Store with total user numbers and ratings numbers 3 Allow more freedom to customize your post in the news feed Once it is posted you cannot delete or edit it that I am aware of 4 I believe there may be a bug in the Trace Snow app where I try and post a picture to my session sheet however it does not appear in the news feed Also when I add friends that I am skiing with who also are Trace users that does not appear in my news feed 5 I liked and commented on a friends posts to test if he was getting notifications and he was not Not sure if that is a current feature 6 To be able to name a location that is unknown For example I went backcountry skiing in the Teton National Park and when I posted my stats for the day it just said I was in an unknown location If the concern is the potential for oversaturated geotagging maybe a user could submit the location for approval Once again I am really excited about my device and I look forward to see this product get better and better Hopefully you find these suggestions useful                 Great App Some suggestions to make it better

Let me preface this review with how much I like the app and am an overall fan of trace snow I however have several critiques of the new update I miss how the app used to display monthly vertical and distance statistics on the profile page which they got rid of this version To me the app did not get any faster and the newsfeed page is even slower to load than before Also there is now an annoying connect with Bluetooth message that pops up every time the app is opened              Hold off on this update

I really like the app it has everything I want but it kills my battery and shuts down my phone after the first few runs then I have to plug in and restart              Enjoyable

I downloaded this app because it was supposed the 1 app to track and keep stats while skiing After Id downloaded it I could not create an account I tried signing in through Facebook and that also did not work I would not recommend this app     This App Has Some Serious Issues

This app used to be great Now it takes forever to open the screen freezes for minutes at a time crashes occasionally Ive lost 2 full days of data due to crashes I will be using a different tracker next year     Used to be good

While I love the idea of this app I have to say the quality has gone downhill The app now hangs frequently and after killing the app it has to be restarted in order for it to even attempt to upload my statistics Poor upload performance and hangs in general makes me worry that the statistics gathered are in error Fix the hangs please Looking like the developers dont care about quality Hangs hangs hangs Mostly useless     Not so great anymore

Cool concept but I feel the UI needs some rework to make a usable interface I have two friends I should be linked to on Trace One has me listed in his profile but he is not listed as linked on my profile The other friend is linked just fine Ive been using this for a few months and I havent seen an update to fix this You have to jump through numerous screens in order to view a friends detail I hope they continue to focus on the ecosystem and the app It has a lot of useful potential even for an casual user        Has Potential
