AliveCor s FDA-cleared Heart Monitor & AliveECG app for the iPhone 4 and 4S are intended for use by licensed U.S. medical professionals to record, display, store, transfer, and evaluate single-channel electrocardiogram (ECG) rhythm strips. Developed ...
The device is good but although the most recent software update added features it also took away my ability to type in a note about what I was doing The software very accurately reports my heart rate and shows me any rhythm irregularities so I use it in the gym when lifting heavy to help me train at a reasonable rate of increase for weight and repetitions and to watch for recurrence of my atrial flutter Without notes I can link ECG history by date and time to my training notes when I was in the gym but not for other life events that may or may not be relevant to my arrhythmia           Missing notes reduces value of ECG history
I purchased the universal plate for 150 normally 199 when they discounted it for happy heart month in February I have a high heart rate and this has made working with my cardiologist so much easier and given me peace of mind and a tool for making my life better Its essentially an event monitor in your pocket If you have a heart condition this is a great device and app to have and the ability to have your ecg reviewed for 2 is great All together I couldnt be happier with the device and Im shocked there arent more reviews with the update and tracking this has made it such an essential tool In my care and records withy cardiologist                 Most important app on my phone
I used this app and iPhone case cover for 3 months as a case study for Cleveland Clinics after my 3rd heart atrial heart ablation It was very easy to use and thought it to be very accurate It could detect if I was experiencing Aflutter Afib or a normal rate After an ECG reading you can email a PDF file to the people who need to read your data I highly recommend it especially if you do not have a landline home phone                 Excellent App and Device
Previous versions worked but the latest version crashes immediately For 200 I would expect this to have been resolved a long time ago Unacceptable     Crashes immediately
I downloaded the latest update and the app which worked fine before crashes immediately This is SERIOUSLY unacceptable     Crashes immediately
used to work now doesnt at all     crashes immediately please fix asap
Was good dr recommended but not working as well as old version on 4s Hope they fix the bug I have to manually type notes each time I cannot type a list of symptoms to pick from All old data before upgrade seems lost        AliveCor
I wish I didnt update Very buggy Im unable to delete a partial or bad ECGinterference etc The older version was much better Please fix Edit I found out that I am able to delete ecgs I called tech support very helpful and they showed me where to small light colored arrow is on the right upper part of the ECG Ive changed my rating to 45 stars              This version is not as good as last
The screen wont rotate to landscape mode on iPhone 6 and iPad mini 3 with iOS 811           Wont Rotate on newest iOS Devices
Ive used AliveECG since inception Ive been very happy with the very specific function it offers I use it only when hearing an irregularity in the heart rhythm during auscultation Quite frequently it is not an Afib Ive diagnosed frequent PVCs and sinus arrhythmia on several occasions sparing the patient the anxiety and the need for a formal ECG that is not available at my office It is really handy The app requires access to the microphone to decipher the audio signal generated by the alivecor lead that is needed to generate the ECG the audio signal frequency is outside of the range for the human ear so it cant be heard The whole thing is truly quite fascinating                 Lead I ECG on the go
With the new version AliveCor just went from great to exceptional I love the new BFx indicator Youre my security blanket                 Just the best
I got the Alivecor for my son when he was about 14 months old I hold it to his chest to use it and this works well It is an indispensable piece of his healthcare regimen Alivecor takes the guessing game out of wondering how his heart is especially because he is too young to verbalize how he feels It has allowed us to stay home when I otherwise would have taken him to the ER just to get his rhythm checked This thing is great I must comment though that I miss the ability to take notes on each ECG Not only can I not take notes but my old notes are gone I relied on the notes section to record my sons temperature for each ECG since temperature is related to his heart problem The ability to personalize the list of symptoms is clunky to change each time I want to record a new note Im looking forward to a new version with my notes restored Thank you                 Love the app Miss the notes
Id love to say ill use it with patients but at present its a novelty The app needs an ability to zoom in and do measurements with automatic qtc calculation Some basic rhythm analysis would also be awesome              Possibly helpful
This is very cool I have an iPhone 6 and this works very well My pulse is around 50 at rest and it doesnt cause a problem The latest software smooths out quickly with very little artifact This is awesome                 Wave of the futurevery cool
There is a lot of noise in the recordings generated by the device Sometimes you see P waves but only if you are lucky you will see T waves The case cracks easily I had to return the first case due to cracks interfering with the reads The new case is already crack but it is still recording I sent an EKG to be revised by them and the report came back normal even though there are two problems in the EKG The board certified physicians the use are a disaster It is promising but it is still at Beta stage        Noisy Reads Doctors advice is not serious
Takes u to a page to purchase equipment or it doesnt work Must have an 8000 monitor     Bad
If you have a cardio condition and need to be able to check you ECG status this app is what you need My situation is not a heavy duty one but by running a quick ECG I am able to have peace of mind It is helping me understand what is happening and what is not happening You can get a analysis of your ECG if you feel you need it                 Important tool for heart health
Version 220 crashed immediately on my iPhone 5 running iOS 60     Crashes immediately
Im truly amazed by the ease of use of this product and its accuracy Works great Baseline has some interference but nothing that cant be looked beyond Graph is great and the autorecordings are wonderful This tiny device truly is the future                 So cool works great
Been waiting to get this because some lone afib Wow does this work effortlessly Developing a baseline to be able to reference as I catch afib incidents Easy to use real time EKG results Attaches to iPhone I can choose inexpensive professional analysts or cardiologist Delighted to be experimenting Got to show my cardiologist                 Just started
Read a story about this app on Fox News and wanted to see if it worked After signing up it tells you to place your fingers on metal plates Turns out you need to buy a special case to use this app looked like it was 199 to purchase Misleading advertising all around No idea if the product really works     Requires Special Equipment
The device works well but the usability of the app was much better before this latest update The app designers tried to borrow too much from bad web GUI which makes tasks hidden and not intuitive Theres an important difference between any old graphical interface versus a visible interface Biggest pet peeve is if I get a bad read my dads hands are not steady I want to cancel and try again Only option now is to save Then I have to hunt for the delete Waste of critical time when dealing with a senior citizen           Useability Suffers With This Update
New version is slower than a turtle     Very slow
Excellent buy It really worths its moneyBest buy by far                 Easy 5 stars
This new version offers many improvements over the older versions With this version you can easily record your ECG add detailed notes as well as symptoms from a customizable list to help you and your doctor track your heart condition as well as triggers symptoms activity foods medicines etc I have a concealed condition that does not show up when at the office and that makes it hard to explain to the doctor what is happening without costly holter monitors with this tool I can bring him print outs of the episodes along with detailed and accurate notes and symptoms I was experiencing at the time Ive still recorded events via a holter monitor but this is so valuable because it shows the doctor the frequency of your issues and the combined notes can go a long way to identifying underlying triggers I highly recommend this tool to anyone who thinks they might have an issue I went to the doctor regularly for years before finally catching something on record If you are like me then get this tool my doctor has no problem accepting the reports from alivecor It is important to note that this app requires the purchase of a physical attachment for your smart phone but it is entirely worth the cost                 A must have for anyone with heart problems
I have had my alivecor for a little over a year and havent had any problems using it on my iphone5 or my 3rd generation iPad until the app update Now it has a hard time picking up my finger contact And when it does it says it cant categorize the rhythm when its clearly NSR or afib I have read EKGs for over 30 years Its clear to me what it is Could this be a glitch in the upgrade I changed the battery and cleaned it off No change                 Bad update
First of all I have generation 3 with the iPhone 5s and it work perfectly ever time what a awesome tool you can email or print them and take the with you when you got it the Dr or for a small fee you can sent it and get it reviewed I used it and I love it you can use it on your pets I have mine with me always now checking the whole family and friends and it will instantly tell you if you have AFib it detects its and tells you buy it use it buy the Machint from their website super fast if your in California plus its way cheaper than most websites                 So powerful EKG in your hand
My cardiologist was very impressed with this product and showed it to his staff He wants me to track my readings every time I experience my heart palpitations symptoms for two weeks before my follow up with him I have to admit that it was initially difficult to figure out how to get a readable reading because your hands have to be super steady for it to work right Eventually I found it easier to lay the electrodes on a flat surface table to prevent movement and help with perfect stability and I put the phone next to the electrodes Then I put my fingers on top of the electrodes and it works perfectly and is easier to do it this way vs attaching them to the back of the phone It cost 70 on Amazon The first reading is analyzed for free but if you want Alivcors staff to analyze future readings you can pay 2 or 12 per reading depending on how quickly you want the results For 2 you get the analysis in 24 hours vs 30 minutes for the 12 That feature is optional and not necessary to use the app unless you want more detailed informationanalysis about your reading before seeing your cardiologist Overall I am very impressed and happy with this product                 Amazing technology
dont bother to download nothing happens it doesnt work at all deleted     crapzero stars
making the expensive hardware absolutely useless     Last update crashes immediately every time
My cardiologist recommended it He couldnt believe how clean the readings were It allowed me to selfidentify symptoms when I was in AFib Easy to use works great I am very glad I bought it                 Great product
I this app I bought the case monitor it cost 70 or more and now I can monitor my heart rhythm I hooked up myself the telemonitor at work and use this one at the same time its really accurate I use this everyday I keep track of my health because I have frequent PVCs I know how to interpret EKGs                 If you have arrhythmia get this
Updated app attempts to open then crashes immediately on iPhone 6 making this product I paid for useless Unacceptable     220 crashes
After gluing to case worked fine But my resting HR is 5055 which flags the whole reading as abnormal App wants 60 I should be able to set my normal range I can turn off normal flagging but dont know what else it doesnt flag then Turn around from low cost scrutiny of trace by a professional reader is fast and reassuring Great product              Works with iPhone 6 IOS 82
Works great Takes both Lead I and a modified Lead II ECG Great peace of mind for myself Requires hardware you must purchase separately                 Amazing
Just a few things to clean up the UI glitches would really help the overall experience Theyre easy to spot no need to list them here But so far seems like it works           Needs some work but not bad
I am a cardiologist who recently had afib and then aflutter This device has been indispensable The main fault using the device for these two arrhythmias are the fixed electrodes which make finding good amplitude P and f waves difficult The ability to send the rhythm strip as a PDF file easily in an email or text message is light years ahead of clunky hospital EKG hardware The quality of the tracings are excellent On the other hand the fixed electrodes as a removable part of the phone case make the device always present and ready to use Many patients with arrhythmias will find this useful I would like to see the EKG hardware with some other electrode options Putting or laying the electrodes on the chest would work great with a little more separation and a less convex contact shape Great product Even my electrophysiologist was impressed                 Very useful
I work with an elderly population A lady was experiencing chest pains and this device and app helped see the ECG during her episode Something we could never get be the time an order and equipment arrived The patient felt better and far less panicked when I was able to show her a normal rhythm and focused on treating her discomfort which was lung related I absolutely love this device This device works really well and is just one more tool I can pull out and help my patients My only complaint is the case it comes in It has a really great rubber edge but the back is proving to be a fragile plastic I have had the case on my phone for 2 months and I have had 4 hairline cracks radiating from the metal tabs develop I have not dropped my phone and it sits in my pocket on most days I have no cracks on the screen I noticed the first crack within a couple weeks I do not feel this case will protect the phone long term but then I bought it for its ECG functionality which is superb                 Very helpful
This application and its hardware is most useful and becoming better with time Patients like it very much                 Better with time
Im written this on behalf of my mother who is 81 and like most of her piers are not computer literate She was given a prescription for their product so she asked me to help get this Their web site was not real easy to navigate I did place an order but would have liked to speak with a customer support rep But there is no way to do that they just want your money So when the product never came my mother went to her doctors office where they spent 3 hours trying to find out why my mother has not got her device But they got their money So my mother doctors office got a device sent to my mother great But No The wrong device came the day my mother was going on a two week vacation She thought she would take care of the problem when she got back home But this company said no your past the two week trail period So now an 81 year old with a heart condition still does not have her heart monitor After three months and those blood suckers want more money to get her the right monitor WHAT SCUM     Horrible Customer Service
I practice addiction medicine All of the psychotropic medications that we prescribe eg atypical antipsychotics methadone can lead to trouble AliveECG has allowed me to quickly assess patients for cardiac conduction defects Its new enhanced filter which reduces noise is amazing                 Indispensable
I have such a sense of security with this app The feelings that I didnt understand for so many years now have a label PVCs PACs among others It puts my mind at ease to know that these are harmless arrhythmias I love the options that allow me to print or send PDFs of the EKGs The newest feature that allows me to send them into Alivecor for an evaluation with an almost immediate response is the BEST This app is worth the 200 for those of us who have heart conditions Hopefully one day the price will be more affordable for many people                 Peace of mind
Monitor doesnt work 95 of the time due to mains noise     Great when it works
Fantastic for what it is intended for I am intending on take it with me on a medical trip to a remote location abroad soon Would love to see calipers as well as a QTc calculator integrated to the app Should not be too complicated Thank you                 Calipers please
I never should have upgraded This version is buggy and VERY slow In fact it performs so badly that I now question if the readings can even be relied upon I loved the previous version but this one is a complete disappointment For the features that were added it definitely sacrificed quality If there is a way to go back I would love to Ugh        Why do companies ruin good apps
Worth my time and money helps with my heart condition c Sombrero Hoarder                 Amazing
Went into AFIB and it provided immediate feedback for me throughout the night till this morning when AFIB went to normal and I passed out while checking heart rate The ER doctor found the information useful as I actually got a capture at the moment And I was able to email the trace to him Thanks AliveCor                 AFIB Must have it saved my butt
Alivecor removed very useful functionality to increase waveform size which made it easier to view weak readings Plus their Draconian approach to using their app update or go away is disconcerting Very disappointed           A step backward
The mechanism works fine but dont bother to pay the 12 to have their board certified cardiologist interpret results I could have gotten that much from a machine And two emails to the company went unanswered        Disappointed
Ever since BFx was added when my 30 second reading ends if my reading is a 70 it will save as 75 instead     No Longer Accurate
