Al Jazeera for iPad

I am unable to access anything meaningful Why did I bother downloading it It will shortly disappear     Useless app

No use for this app anymore after you crippled it Deleted     Sellouts

AJE live stream needs to be reinstated in the US     Live stream

The stories are still there but no live streaming in the US Why My TV provider does not have AJ America yet even though I requested it so how can I see it        No US video stream

I am a regular viewer of Al Jazeera America Greta independent journalism The videos in the app are all locked though Whats the idea here     Video dont work in US

I did not have this app when it was streaming but only after watching AJ America on TV AJ America television is very superior to BBC America which has no extensive world news on it but a lot of crap shows By comparison the AJ America tv programming has a lot better coverage of world news This is why I got the app on my ipad I like the English AJ app a lot and and there is video on current news events though some of it is disappointingly restricted due to my being in the U S Also I did not want the AJ America homogenized news I think AJEnglish is very good compared to other news outlets and brings stories about the Middle East that dont reach the US such as what Malikis government has done to innocent civilians over the past few years I guess locking the streaming is making this app less than ideal              Seems pretty good so far

I am disappointed that this app no longer allows me to see the AJE feed It was my favorite part of the app I took a look at The Stream app and it looks far too hip and interactive for my tastes I just want a stream of world news that isnt filtered through a layer of American style journalism I dont need to share my story or whatever either Why does no one just want to give Americans the news anymore Im just old enough to remember Walter Cronkite retiring I miss him now more than ever        Miss the live stream

I truly miss the older version of this app Being able to stream live broadcasts kept me up to date and always had me coming back for more Now I cant even remember the last time I even opened this app Please give us back the world wide streaming like you guys used to     NO MORE STREAMING

We bragged to our friends and got them to download the app and you became popular and a handful of cable services started to carry you and you pulled the live stream You are no different than any other big media corporate controlled puppet Congratulations You had one big chance and you blew it     You sold us out

I got this app quite a long time ago but this latest version doesnt allow me to watch the TV network anymore because I am in America This is ridiculous I wanted to watch to another perspective on the news and now I am without this visual resource Give me back the streaming that made me choose this app in the first place please     No streaming

Calling this app Al Jazeera English when it doesnt give access to er Al Jazeera English is like calling an app angry birds but not having any birds in it If we cant be trusted to watch the feed it shouldnt be in the app at all Id quit like to have watched the video not even live about fusion power What on earth is the reason that I cant watch that     App name not accurate

I understand that AJ wants to grow AJ America but in regionlocking their streams theyve removed one of the last serious English language news sources from the American market I opened the app hoping to see live coverage of the situation in Crimea that lasted more than 30 seconds but instead I got an error message     Locking AJ English in the US ruins this app

Al Jazeera English used to care about journalistic integrity and was the place to go for an unbiased view of world news Now all they care about is money and they have sold out to the US cable companies Al Jazeea English is not available in the US at all making this app basically useless     Just another sellout to us corporate interests

Unable to retrieve data says this app every time I open it It just doesnt work     Doesnt work

Slow streamingvideos dont load and all the most interesting programs are not longer available since the introduction of Aljazeera America Can you please bring it back as it was before        Nothing works anymore

I originally installed this to watch live news broadcasts Those streams are no longer available in the app and Al Jazeera is not available on my local cable service I will be deleting this app from my iPad as soon as I finish this review     This app is now useless to me

Just updated Aljazeera and now it refuses to open     New Update

App does not allow watching videos in full screen mode Instead it crashes when full screen mode is applied     Crashes

Guess its back to BBC news since I dont necessarily want American based news        No streaming video for US

Neither one is available in the US anymore Al Jazeera was an alternative to the formulaic news broadcast in the States but we cant see it anymore The shows and documentaries arent available on the app or on YouTube Really wish they were made available again     We need live stream and videos

I dont usually write reviews here Reason why I decided to leave review is because this application deserves 5stars Since it offers easy access to al Jazeeras website plus it comes with audio and video streaming which works awesomely well                 Totally under rated application

I am an American living in Thailand and am interested in reading news that has not been filtered through the USA or Thai media Aljazeera used to fulfill that need but their live news stream lol longer works in the USA or here in Thailand Nor doe it seem to work in neighboring countries I hope they get the live news stream back up and running and then this app may rate 5 stars again           Too Bad

Dear Aljazeera i am a long time user of Aljazeera ipad iPad mini first generation app its pretty amazing but recently the news tab doesnt show highlight it says unable to retrieve data please check your connection even though i am on WIFI and my net connection is fine I would highly appreciate if you solve the issue or fix the bug in next update Thanks        News section doesnt show

Not only can we no longer stream live but we are loosing crucial lines of copy that frame pictures in each story Its very disappointing     Bad formatting

Generally speaking when news goes cable in this country it goes bad For years you guys developed a loyal American audience online with AJE and you dumped us as soon as AJA launched Little ironic dont you think     Americans Without Cable Miss AJE

The picture at the beginning of most articles covers two lines of text so they are not readable This has not been corrected and there is clearly no one at Al Jazzera reading reviews So my review is that the app is non responsive to a technical issue presumably readily curable              Tech issue

Used to stream the broadcast in US Now it doesnt I guess because BIG CABLE didnt like competition     They took away the feature that made it great

WE WANT TO WATCH THE LIVESTREAM IN THE UNITED STATES I guess they sold out to Western TV service providers It wont be too long after that that their quality of news will suffer Uninstalling the app right now     Same complaint as everyone else

One of the reasons I installed this app was specifically to watch the live stream Which it doesnt if you are in America Some of us do not have cable When AJ discontinued stream in America it betrayed us loyal AJ news fans Cant give zero stars so it gets a generous 1star Please add it back     Seriously AJ

I dont understand the reviews that said that the live streaming is not available I just downloaded Aljazeera and it does have live news streaming But Im in Asia so maybe there is restriction for US users only All looks good to me I prefer Aljazeera to BBC which seems to take sides when reporting 5 stars to Aljazeera Update after reading more reviews it seems the news streaming is being blocked in the US What happened to the freedom of expression in america Whoever responsible for the blocking shouldnt be doing this It is such a shame                 Live streaming is working contrary to earlier reviews

For those of us that can still read this is a nicely done app Also great to read actual journalism instead of the talking heads garbage that is all too common now                 Great news sourse

given the money behind it I was not surprised that the interface is smooth but I am a news junky and the surprise is that the reports seem remarkably evenhanded It reports on news from around the world perhaps a bit more of the Mideast but still far more widely than my local papers try Ok Im a liberal but no fan of extremist Islam or any other faith but this news source seems remarkably dedicated to the news without an appreciable slant left right religious or otherwise It may become my favorite though Ill to read from a variety of sources                 A pleasant surprise

I had been living abroad for the last couple of years and I absolutely loved this app I loved the live stream and watched it constantly Now that I am back in the States I can no longer utilize this and am directed to Al Jazeera America whose app is a joke and the website only offers a limited number of shows and the station is not available in my area The other features on this app are fine but I cant utilize half the features which made it such a great app in the first place PLEASE Make it available to all of us again     I wish I still lived abroad

All I get is Check your network connections I like getting a different perspective on my news one thats focused on international events and isnt all about Donald Trump Guess this one isnt it     Doesnt work
