Addictive Synth It was never so easy to create beautiful sounds and driving loops. The unique dynamic wavetable synthesis allows you to explore an unprecedented wide range of sonic territory. From acid loops, crystal clear percussions, realistic human choirs ...
I ve downloaded tons of synths This one is unlike all others Nice presets                     Very different sound BeaverCleaver420
A reviewer below described this as high pitched and shrill and I have to agree Very glassy metallic sounding synth If that s what you re looking for here you go but I found it harsh to listen to and when you use the randomize function it s way too easy to get too much resonance on some already shrill sound and just have piercing sonic crap coming out of your speakers Presets are mostly weak and I m not big on this form of synthesis either when it comes to making my own patches I managed to create a nice pad on this once but every time I come back to Addictive after a long time hoping it will be better it s always a waste of time again Other reviewers will claim I don t know what I m talking about but I own and happily use synths like iSem Lorentz Animoog Odyssei Sunrizer Gadget Thor Magellan N Log They all have their good and bad points but I d be hard pressed to say anything good about this one         Harsh sounding TheDudeAbided
Just bought few minutes ago and started trying the presets and they sound beautiful I think it s a great deal and the prize is right I feel very happy with my purchase                     It is addictive Bugsybox
Update I keep coming back to this synth often It s two years since the last update and it is still a lush deep forest of sounds Just the arpeggiator is worth it alone Looking forward to Addictive II even if I have to buy it again Combining the funct Here and in Poseidon would be awesome This synth offers more control but little visualization If you fall in that category and are unsure if you want to get this or not here are my preliminary thoughts you ll get lost with it and may be thankful for that what does this mean if anything 1 you might want to play with the different arpeggios and just listen to the lush sounds and cadence this synth can make 2 you may want to explore rich fat dancing tones and notes that can put you in a trance 3 you may want to start playing some simple combinations and start loving some extremely simple things that just sound too well and look for how to record them 4 you may start making memories as your thoughts flow with the different presets and start to feel personal about some of them So if you don t know exactly what this additive synthesis is about you WILL get lost But what a great soundscape to be lost in If you truly look forward to new lusty ambient rich and flowing sounds this app will not disappoint you and if you are patient enough and a good learner you may as I aspire end up thinking about sounds and making them instead of hiding them or controlling them Use a good set of headphones You will want that here for your addictive escapades Update SRoseWood Your review was the least helpful I ve seen Even the presets sound extremely different the sound quality is superb and it definitely sounds better than a kmart 25 gadget That doesn t mean you must like it I am just saying you can write crap about anything and you just did exactly that                     Amateur and confused preemption
Even with all the great new synth apps out there this is still the most rewarding inspiring and addictive one I have new sounds arps and ideas every time I touch this thing I love the randomize options for getting new sound ideas to tweak and refine The looper is great for capturing ambient and rhythmic soundscapes                     Go to synth StillAnAddict
Its great but tempo synced parameters and arpeggios drift so quickly that the coolest features are rendered useless for any serious projects Such a shame I d love to use it with other apps and Ableton projects It would have been 5 stars and my favorite on Ipad         Tempo drifts bad sync Planned obsolescence
Pros robust synth with a lot of routing options Sequencer can be set to just about any time signature Nice selection of effects Cons kind of flaky when I try to save a new sequence and even an edited sequence Could use more MIDI options like slave master and better more stable audiobus interface             Good but not great pjl21
When you try to choose the recording to paste the menu does not allow you to choose it only older recordings They placed the words Clipboard and Soundcloud at bottom and that does not allow you to choose the new recording The List of recordings goes down automatically Terrible programming and it have Version 5 on an I Pad 4 Ios7     Pasting Recording terrible dgerman104
The sounds the layout are all excellent in this app Create some unusual sounds with this baby pretty darn cool A must have and fun to boot                     A must have in your synth set of tools Oldrumguy
The root cause of lots of other synths made by these mad scientists That TOTALLY blow me away So great and fun to use THESE GUYS make such beautiful synths I wish they made hard ware versions of them all With nice wooden cases Peace christo                     Top gunn fun super synth Aka monkey dope
Awesome sounding synth it s one of the very top Synths in the App Store The possibilities are endless truly addictive                     Awesome Synth Bone Valle
Wanted to revise my review on Addictive to say that this is one of my favorite apps along with Thor and Magellan I first owned micro because I have the Synthstation 25 but now that I have an iPad just had to get the big version and let me say that it is really awesome and very easy to understand and use What I like most about Addictive is how it MIDIs perfect to my favorite app SECTOR as well as iMPC pro The only issue I have is with AudioBus but that s no biggie for I can also use IAA I m sure an update is on the way but no big deal Keep up the great work                     One of my top used synth apps myst515
IPad Air latest air gen 128M fully tested for performance works great with my other sound apps This app lags behind every key stroke Disappointed         Lags behind keystrokes Nexus1001
I love this app the presets are useful I use it live a couple times a month Must run it out to an old school mixer since there is not midi volume control via cc7 level or equiv This is serious enough to me to dock one star for it no serious app should fail to have this level controller capability if they advertise midi at all Runs ok on iPad2 is reliable enough app for live use                 Great sounds no level control from ext midi ThommyDy
I use this synth a lot to try and replicate real instruments such as pianos organs orchestra instruments etc The problem I have is that when your modeling the waveform the very high harmonies are too close together and I wind up adjusting the wrong ones If you can make an update where the harmonies are evenly spaced so you can adjust any one individually I would give this five stars                 Very good synth but with one small problem entertainer510
Get all the VirSyn synths                     Fantastic instrument s littlewoodg
This is unacceptable there is still no MIDI learn now I reduce my rate to protest                     MIDI learn please E=ME2
I held off on buying any of VirSyn s products for a little while but ended up with the both iPhone version and iPad version after it went on sale of Addictive Synth I think it s an excellent synthesizer one of my favorites The new update fixed some previous issues with organizing presets There is also a randomizer button similar to Magellan s spawn feature that will make a new preset which you can then save The presets I tried were mostly very warm and musical It may not have the depth of presets out of the box compared to something like Sunrizer or Magellan but the ability to make new ones is fully there I thought the arpeggiator in particular sounded great While I don t use in app 4 track recorders often Addictive s looper is very convenient to use so you can do some simple layering of parts before exporting them as one track Touch screen keyboards are always limiting but I really liked the key mode specific option Nice synth                     Excellent warm sounds with solid interface HouseOfHomuth
The new patch manager is very convenient thanks And the synth itself remains one of the most fun and capable on the platform I love it                     Great update Artemiy Pavlov
This update really makes this synth usable for playing live on stage as it makes patch changing on the fly so easy to do Thanks for such a great update I really like the other new options as well Thanks for such a great synth Really it is addictive                     Great update Very Usable for Live Playing Musikman4Christ
Finally its usuable Any presets one might have made saved will be found in the Other files                 Better late than never Chezzdog2
An original and one of the first of my IOS synth purchases which I would like to say still sounds really great It s awesome developer has a few really great IOS products but this still gets high marks in my book I am appreciative of the solid and highly programmable arpeggiator and the synth sounds are quite nice while the program in general is not a MEMORY HOG So it plays great on my old iPad 2 and mini I am thankful for VirSyn s solid design with all their apps but Addictive Synth is especially cool                     Still a mighty synth Mo Freeapps
This synth is up there with the likes of Reaktors Steam Pipe enough said I foresee it being used in many future productions for Ethereal Ambient music and see no reason it can t be used in other genres I just feel that it is it s strong point Specs iPad 4 128 wifi iOS 6 1 3                     Angelically Beautiful AshFallenBrightly
Capable of producing the high quality sounds this 9 7 piece of glass mysteriously does so well but my only significant gripes are 1 Lack of midi learn function should be standard on every synthesizer app from its inception 2 inability to record a specified number of bars regardless of your settings it will continue to record until you stop it 3 Effects are barebones I would be grateful if you come around to modify these things Thanks             Really good room for great Erez M.
This app is one of the ios originals and its still a great buy for those looking for an entryway to wavetable synthesis The addition of IAA makes it even easier to add its goodness to any song fantastic app with tons of sounds and the ability to randomize the wavetable with just one button is crazy cool                     The original wavetable synth on iOS C3l3$t1n0
Just that Lots of great sounds and possibilities especially with the sequencer for arpeggios cause that s where it shines                     Awesome great sound and function CoopMusic247
Best sounding synth on iOS lots of depth rich and beautiful sounds amazing real time filter tweaking Additive and FM synthesis This is the one to get                     Great synth telepunken
I like the features of this synth a lot The sequencer is especially nice                 Nice synth ZenLizard
VirSyn has a illustrious lineup of VST Synthesizers they even make some of the internal synths for Cubase 7 Trimming down ideas found from their semi modular TERA synthesizer they ve created an impressive iPad app The synth uses two visual filter waveforms which can be interacted with by drawing them Two oscillators work similarly vertical lines representing frequencies There are many OSC choices and does vocal styled timbres as easily as 80s modern synth sounds Control features are very flexible with a modulation matrix that offers many capabilities The Arp can double as a mini sequencer not to mention a 4 channel loop recorder Finally there are several effects such as chorus reverb modulation and EQ The sound quality is excellent as are the programming features Totally worth getting                     Great x_bruce
I love iOS synths I have animoog Nlog imini grain science alchemy now nave All much better synths Sounds here are boring Many controls hardly modify sounds Presets all just a bunch of heavy reverb hollow sounds Nothing about this synth entices me to use it I wasted my money on this one Be warned save your pennies for elsewhere         Mediocre DDkin9
I am having fun with this well thought out app I keep reaching for it when I want a new sound Thanks keep up the good no great work                     I just can t leave it alone Samsjamz
Wow For the cheap affordable price this is very impressive synth I find it can just about compete with many other pricey ones There are almost infinite possibilities of new sounds as you experiment withe controls The feature where you can tumble the dice to make new random wave and filters is great for if you dial up a patch you don t quite like you can turn it into something new It has a great arpeggiator with many patterns and the basses and saws have a nice bite to them not tinny and toy like sounding as some softsynths certainly are I will quite likely be using this for live shows not just my home studio Well worth the money thanks guys And it sounds unlike a Roland Korg or Yamaha which is cool I have plenty of those                 Chuck d Cd bunny
I didn t expect a swift response from you guys to fix the virtual midi issues but color me surprised and grateful I m so glad midi is now working Thanks so much guys                     MIDI is fixed App is now great Kaotik Evolution
I have all the IOS synths worth having I held off on this until audiobus was added and as a bonus it was half price the day the update came out I have to say this is one of the best sounding and most versatile of them all Love it worth every penny Possibly my new favorite                     Totally Impressed Analogluvr
It s very good to see this synth on board the audiobus and performing well as usual                     Solid sampler Synth polarpaul
Please add audiobus             Great synth but Xeneifana
Needs to be updated                     Love it but Robert McVey
please add audio bus to your app that s all it need to be great             excellent apps need audiobus Charlie710
This app will give some a good introduction to Additive synthesis once you get used to some of the quirks For example filter options are presented before wave options which is backward to wave most are used to in signal flow Also I think it could be made clearer to which partials you are selecting A simple spectrograph in the corner or background could help programming sounds on this app a lot The sounds are good and great for pad but like additive synthesis if you aren t careful you can get a lot of mushy blurry sounds My biggest complaint is that Virtual MIDI seems to be broken and that is way I give the app 3 starts This app just will not play well with Genome the stand to test VirtualMIDI and that isn t a great sign If they fix that I will gladly give the app more stars but right now that is a deal breaker because if they do add AudioBus support AudioBus will be worthless if you can t control MIDI in the app correctly             Good Additive Synth app but Virtual MIDI is broken FTGabumon
Good sounds many of them inventive and unique That s the good part An interface which is clumsy and in some cases just dumb An XY pad sits there big as day yet is by and large not assigned in any of the presets In other words assign your own parameters to the m default presets and see how it goes So instead of using the opportunity to demonstrate the item that represents a good chunk of screen space and limits the initial keyboard width you re on your own You can t audit sounds from within the open menu which means you have to remember what you wanted to hear next This is nitpicking but there are enough flaws to make it less than addictive             Some good some not quite kk100
Great app but please integrate with Audiobus Also it would be great if the tempo could be saved along with the preset                     AUDIOBUS Integration Please LuisManuel_USA
This app is great but needs audiobus to be complete                     Needs audiobus valloy
UPDATE After having a chance to test this as part of an overall recording workflow I found a few issues that make it difficult to use in conjunction with other apps Pasting a recording made in Addictive into another app does seem to work fine so that s good However here are some problems I encountered as part of a larger recording session 1 Pasting audio from Auria into the Looper It does paste but seems to play back at 2x speed Audio pasted from Beatmaker 2 plays back at the right speed Not sure why Maybe something subtly different between Sonoma and Pasteboard standards Tried different sample rates for Auria but they all convert to 44 1k when doing the ACP 2 When I have a backing track playing say from Auria switching to Addictive silences that audio So I can t hear the backing track to record over This seems to be a common thing with synths that use CoreAudio but I can t find a good work around 3 I can paste audio into the looper at least from BM2 and play record over it but the main recording also captures the looped audio 4 The way the recorder works makes it a bit difficult to record something played over virtual MIDI say from Beatmaker 2 The metronone is always on no way to turn it off and the number of bars it will record has to be set up front So if I set up a virtual MIDI port and play using BM2 while recording in Addictive the metronone is very hard to sync up with the existing backing tracks and is annoying While the count in metronone and predetermined length are nice features especially for working within the app it would be awesome to be able to turn them all OFF and just record quietly until manually stopped when using in conjunction with other apps 5 This app does not seem to work well with Genome MIDI sequencer It will only play back a monophonic sequence over v midi Anytime you have two or more notes at the same time like a chord it produces silence This is still a really great standalone synth one of the very best in terms of sound quality and ease of sound creation I hope VirSyn can make a few tweaks to make it more useful as part of an overall recording workflow as I really want to be able to use it in mixes The key is being able to hear the context of what you re making the recording for whether it was created in Addicitive or some other app be able to record Addictive s part and then easily move that recording into something else for mixing tweaking and mastering Addicitive is SO close to being able to do all of that but needs a few tweaks ORIGINAL REVIEW Outstanding The presets are an awesome demonstration of the synth s capabilities and many are very useable The ability to draw the harmonics that the oscillators will generate right there on the screen at least to me is mind boggling You can generate extremely complex waveforms easily without using samples or being constrained to a list of pre fab choices The effects are great The author is not kidding about the new high end reverb It makes a flat sine wave sound pretty rich The arpeggiator is one of the best I ve seen on iOS or otherwise VERY flexible and powerful I have not had a chance to test audio copy paste yet but that will be important to me The looper seems to work well and is a load of fun I think the GUI is very well designed After you get a handle on things it s easy to navigate and there are not a gazillion pages So far very stable and the background audio works well One suggestion put some labels on the wave and filters Either frequency or on the wave editor perhaps the harmonic number Or perhaps some continuously updated display that appears like with the rotary controls that says what frequency and level you are at One possible bug If I turn off all of the harmonics including the fundamental I still seem to get the sound of the fundamental sine wave Maybe this is by design so you never end up with something that doesn t generate sound Or perhaps it s user error Either way outstanding job I ll be using this one a lot If you are a synthesizer fan you should have this in your arsenal A hardware synth with these capabilities and with a sound this lush would be very expensive You can have this for the cost of a decent lunch                 Top Shelf please improve ability to record SuperNiCd
There are lots of subtractive synth apps Having used Waldorfs extensively years ago I was missing a really good wavetable synth on iOS This one is really great The presets show it off quite well Very lush and delicious sounds CoreMIDI is working fine with iRig MIDI I haven t had it long enough to know how well the programming of sounds works for me so I ll update the review on that point later However the sound quality and the music it can create with existing sounds already justifies the five star rating Thank you                     The one I was missing most ofajen
There are so many usable presets banks that you could spend hours exploring them This app works great with Polychord Keep some water and protein bars handy and strap on an adult diaper because you will get lost in this app in a very good way If you are a knob twister then there are many many many adjustments you can make too                     Addictive is the operative word K_myers
It s very fun to have additive synthesis on my iPad but this app could be a lot better There are some core things that should already be in it and some things that would just make it a lot cooler but aren t necessary 1 The control parameters are very unintuitive I realize you may not be able to fit sliders which would be ideal but there must be a better way Perhaps a graphic representation that you can zoom in on At the very least the parameter amount shouldn t be below the knob where you can t see it because your finger is in the way Have the number pop up to the left of your finger when you re changing a knob 2 I realize this may be an analog modeling artifact but the oscillators are very inconsistent Sometimes a key press is loud and sometimes it s soft sometimes it s bright and sometimes it s dark This is all with the velocity controls off so it must be the phase of the oscillator or something At least give us an option to sync them so we don t have to deal with the inconsistency 3 Give us some better filter options and make the current filter options which are admittedly cool more intuitive and clear They re currently confusing and don t seem to have a huge impact on sound Give us a traditional filter selection LPF HPF BPF that you can draw like the wave forms Now that would be cool You could also include resonance and important things like that Let us shift the frequency range more easily make it more transparent 4 This one is really basic Organize your patches into banks that we can control and utilize Having a long list of 200 patches isn t very useful Let us organize them into different customizable categories 5 Give us more modulation options Let us FM the first wave with the second wave That would be really cool The sky is the limit The more innovative sound creation techniques you include the better your app with be Do some or all of these things and your synth will be up there with the best of them In the mean time I suggest people check out Magellan Grain Science and Animoog to see what a really awesome iPad synth can be Come back and get Addictive Synth when they ve made some necessary improvements         Pretty good but missing some features MartineLizardo
And here I thought these good reviews were just hyperbole I plugged in a decent set of headphones and ran through the presets and was blown away by the sound Fantastic pads punchy arps this is the sort of stuff that I love in a synth just fantastic Yeah I always wondered why they called it Addictive Now I know I can t wait to dig into this                     Lush spacious driving get it Paisleyfrog
The sounds are very authentic Just listening to something I made on this and I have to say I am really able to get inside the sound like it s an analog instrument Also I really like the ability to slide on the keyboard in a Theremin sort of way pitch bending notes or chords by sliding up or down on the keyboard                     Excellent Synth Medicine
Incredible sounds tweakability this pretty much blows away anything I ve used up till now on iOS animoog nlog sunrizer arctic keys etc Very impressed with the degree of subtle yet musical tonal shifts Don t miss this one One suggestion is I d like to be able to define loop recordings and such with two taps instead of a predefined length I rarely use a click when recording loops and find the current scheme lacking in flexibility for my uses Also why no click during looping Otherwise I know what synth I ll be using for the next year or so at least Someone did their homework Ergonomics are terrific Thank you                     Wow now we re getting somewhere Mysterious Face
This is probably my favorite synth app for arpeggios and hard bass sounds but I cannot use for live shows with these terrible sticky key problems It appears that it only happens with midi controller                     PLEASE FIX THE STICKY KEYS nealiumhelium
The root cause of lots of other synths made by these mad scientists That TOTALLY blow me away So great and fun to use THESE GUYS make such beautiful synths I wish they made hard ware versions of them all With nice wooden cases Peace christo                 Top gunn fun super synth

I wasnt super thrilled with v1of addictive but with updates and response to user feedback theyve created a monster lots of fun to use and great responsiveness as a sound module for other controllers Great arpeggiator                 Great synth responsive developers

This app will give some a good introduction to Additive synthesis once you get used to some of the quirks For example filter options are presented before wave options which is backward to wave most are used to in signal flow Also I think it could be made clearer to which partials you are selecting A simple spectrograph in the corner or background could help programming sounds on this app a lot The sounds are good and great for pad but like additive synthesis if you arent careful you can get a lot of mushy blurry sounds My biggest complaint is that Virtual MIDI seems to be broken and that is way I give the app 3 starts This app just will not play well with Genome the stand to test VirtualMIDI and that isnt a great sign If they fix that I will gladly give the app more stars but right now that is a deal breaker because if they do add AudioBus support AudioBus will be worthless if you cant control MIDI in the app correctly           Good Additive Synth app but Virtual MIDI is broken
I use this synth a lot to try and replicate real instruments such as pianos organs orchestra instruments etc The problem I have is that when your modeling the waveform the very high harmonies are too close together and I wind up adjusting the wrong ones If you can make an update where the harmonies are evenly spaced so you can adjust any one individually I would give this five stars              Very good synth but with one small problem
And here I thought these good reviews were just hyperbole I plugged in a decent set of headphones and ran through the presets and was blown away by the sound Fantastic pads punchy arpsthis is the sort of stuff that I love in a synthjust fantastic Yeah I always wondered why they called it Addictive Now I know I cant wait to dig into this                 Lushspaciousdrivingget it
Its very fun to have additive synthesis on my iPad but this app could be a lot better There are some core things that should already be in it and some things that would just make it a lot cooler but arent necessary 1 The control parameters are very unintuitive I realize you may not be able to fit sliders which would be ideal but there must be a better way Perhaps a graphic representation that you can zoom in on At the very least the parameter amount shouldnt be below the knob where you cant see it because your finger is in the way Have the number popup to the left of your finger when youre changing a knob 2 I realize this may be an analog modeling artifact but the oscillators are very inconsistent Sometimes a key press is loud and sometimes its soft sometimes its bright and sometimes its dark This is all with the velocity controls off so it must be the phase of the oscillator or something At least give us an option to sync them so we dont have to deal with the inconsistency 3 Give us some better filter options and make the current filter options which are admittedly cool more intuitive and clear Theyre currently confusing and dont seem to have a huge impact on sound Give us a traditional filter selection LPF HPF BPF that you can draw like the wave forms Now that would be cool You could also include resonance and important things like that Let us shift the frequency range more easily make it more transparent 4 This one is really basic Organize your patches into banks that we can control and utilize Having a long list of 200 patches isnt very useful Let us organize them into different customizable categories 5 Give us more modulation options Let us FM the first wave with the second wave That would be really cool The sky is the limit The more innovative sound creation techniques you include the better your app with be Do some or all of these things and your synth will be up there with the best of them In the mean time I suggest people check out Magellan Grain Science and Animoog to see what a really awesome iPad synth can be Come back and get Addictive Synth when theyve made some necessary improvements        Pretty good but missing some features
I didnt expect a swift response from you guys to fix the virtual midi issues but color me surprised and grateful Im so glad midi is now working Thanks so much guys                 MIDI is fixed App is now great
The sounds are very authentic Just listening to something I made on this and I have to say I am really able to get inside the sound like its an analog instrument Also I really like the ability to slide on the keyboard in a Theremin sort of way pitch bending notes or chords by sliding up or down on the keyboard                 Excellent Synth
Please add audiobus           Great synth but
The loop feature isnt very user friendly like at all Some of the controls have no labels so you arent exactly sure what they are supposed to do The tone is great though Its probably my favorite synth                 Fantastic sound but
I have all the IOS synths worth having I held off on this until audiobus was added and as a bonus it was half price the day the update came out I have to say this is one of the best sounding and most versatile of them all Love it worth every penny Possibly my new favorite                 Totally Impressed
please add audio bus to your app thats all it need to be great           excellent apps need audiobus
I like the features of this synth a lot The sequencer is especially nice              Nice synth
This is unacceptable there is still no MIDI learn now I reduce my rate to protest                 MIDI learn please
Even with all the great new synth apps out there this is still the most rewarding inspiring and addictive one I have new sounds arps and ideas every time I touch this thing I love the randomize options for getting new sound ideas to tweak and refine The looper is great for capturing ambient and rhythmic soundscapes                 Go to synth
Incredible sounds tweakability this pretty much blows away anything Ive used up till now on iOS animoog nlog sunrizer arctic keys etc Very impressed with the degree of subtle yet musical tonal shifts Dont miss this one One suggestion is Id like to be able to define loop recordings and such with two taps instead of a predefined length I rarely use a click when recording loops and find the current scheme lacking in flexibility for my uses Also why no click during looping Otherwise I know what synth Ill be using for the next year or so at least Someone did their homework Ergonomics are terrific Thank you                 Wow now were getting somewhere
Wow For the cheap affordable price this is very impressive synth I find it can just about compete with many other pricey ones There are almost infinite possibilities of new sounds as you experiment withe controls The feature where you can tumble the dice to make new random wave and filters is great for if you dial up a patch you dont quite like you can turn it into something new It has a great arpeggiator with many patterns and the basses and saws have a nice bite to them not tinny and toylike sounding as some softsynths certainly are I will quite likely be using this for live shows not just my home studio Well worth the money thanks guys And it sounds unlike a Roland Korg or Yamaha which is cool I have plenty of those              Chuck d
This is probably my favorite synth app for arpeggios and hard bass sounds but I cannot use for live shows with these terrible sticky key problems It appears that it only happens with midi controller                 PLEASE FIX THE STICKY KEYS
This app is one of the ios originals and its still a great buy for those looking for an entryway to wavetable synthesis The addition of IAA makes it even easier to add its goodness to any song fantastic app with tons of sounds and the ability to randomize the wavetable with just one button is crazy cool                 The original wavetable synth on iOS
Please add Audiobus                 Love it but
IPad Air latest air gen 128M fully tested for performance works great with my other sound apps This app lags behind every key stroke Disappointed        Lags behind keystrokes
Great app but please integrate with Audiobus Also it would be great if the tempo could be saved along with the preset                 AUDIOBUS Integration Please
An original and one of the first of my IOS synth purchases which I would like to say still sounds really great Its awesome developer has a few really great IOS products but this still gets high marks in my book I am appreciative of the solid and highly programmable arpeggiator and the synth sounds are quite nice while the program in general is not a MEMORY HOG So it plays great on my old iPad 2 and mini I am thankful for VirSyns solid design with all their apps but Addictive Synth is especially cool                 Still a mighty synth
There are quite a few very good synth apps for iOS but Addictive is my favorite due to the great ambient pads that can be made with it Dreamlike evolving patches can be built quickly and the good reverb effect adds to the ethereal quality of the sound Addictive is perfectly capable of creating a wide variety of sounds but I highly recommend it for atmospheric patches I look forward to Virsyn bringing the iPhone version of Addictive up to date with this iPad version                 Favorite iOS Synth
Awesome sounding synth its one of the very top Synths in the App Store The possibilities are endless truly addictive                 Awesome Synth
When you try to choose the recording to paste the menu does not allow you to choose it only older recordings They placed the words Clipboard and Soundcloud at bottom and that does not allow you to choose the new recording The List of recordings goes down automatically Terrible programming and it have Version 5 on an I Pad 4 Ios7     Pasting Recording terrible
The new patch manager is very convenient thanks And the synth itself remains one of the most fun and capable on the platform I love it                 Great update
VirSyn has a illustrious lineup of VST Synthesizers they even make some of the internal synths for Cubase 7 Trimming down ideas found from their semimodular TERA synthesizer theyve created an impressive iPad app The synth uses two visual filter waveforms which can be interacted with by drawing them Two oscillators work similarly vertical lines representing frequencies There are many OSC choices and does vocal styled timbres as easily as 80s modern synth sounds Control features are very flexible with a modulation matrix that offers many capabilities The Arp can double as a minisequencer not to mention a 4 channel loop recorder Finally there are several effects such as chorus reverb modulation and EQ The sound quality is excellent as are the programming features Totally worth getting                 Great
Capable of producing the high quality sounds this 97 piece of glass mysteriously does so well but my only significant gripes are 1 Lack of midi learn function should be standard on every synthesizer app from its inception 2 inability to record a specified number of bars regardless of your settings it will continue to record until you stop it 3 Effects are barebones I would be grateful if you come around to modify these things Thanks           Really good room for great
This synth is up there with the likes of Reaktors Steam Pipe enough said I foresee it being used in many future productions for Ethereal Ambient music and see no reason it cant be used in other genres I just feel that it is its strong point Specs iPad 4 128 wifi iOS 613                 Angelically Beautiful
Best sounding synth on iOS lots of depth rich and beautiful sounds amazing realtime filter tweaking Additive and FM synthesis This is the one to get                 Great synth
The sounds the layout are all excellent in this app Create some unusual sounds with this baby pretty darn cool A must have and fun to boot                 A must have in your synth set of tools
Just that Lots of great sounds and possibilities especially with the sequencer for arpeggios cause thats where it shines                 Awesome great sound and function
Wanted to revise my review on Addictive to say that this is one of my favorite apps along with Thor and Magellan I first owned micro because I have the Synthstation 25 but now that I have an iPad just had to get the big version and let me say that it is really awesome and very easy to understand and use What I like most about Addictive is how it MIDIs perfect to my favorite app SECTOR as well as iMPC pro The only issue I have is with AudioBus but thats no biggie for I can also use IAA Im sure an update is on the way but no big deal Keep up the great work                 One of my top used synth apps
Pros robust synth with a lot of routing options Sequencer can be set to just about any time signature Nice selection of effects Cons kind of flaky when I try to save a new sequence and even an edited sequence Could use more MIDI options like slavemaster and better more stable audiobus interface           Good but not great
