Ride NYC Subway – New York City

Overall useful map and good with directions but the timing of when the subway is coming is not accurate        Disappointed

I use this app almost daily Google Maps is my go to public transportation navigating app in part because I like the maps malleability but Embark is how I check Googles work Not to mention when Im underground and dont get any cell service I need Embark more than ever Its never steered me wrong and sometimes it tells me something Google Maps didnt know                 Life saving app

Embark is helpful underground but it is badly in need of an update hasnt been updated since 2013 The app uses over 200mb of iCloud backup storage It should need less than 1mb        Helpful underground but uses too much iCloud backup storage

Love this app for its accuracy and easy functionality I hope route alerts could pop up when youre looking at the search results which only show scheduled times when the actual routes are changed temporarily especially during nights and weekends                 Best app so far but can be better

We stayed in New York for 5 days and used his app multiple times a day It never failed us I cant imagine having to navigate the city without it                 Would have been lost without it

The times and train status updates are pretty accurate but it is SO annoying that they dont have a way for you to make certain addresses or stations your favorites like many other navigation apps do I use the app EVERY time I go to work or home to see which trains and route will be fastest so I type in these same addresses twice a day 5 times a week minimum Embark NYC can you please read the reviews on your app and make this simple yet very helpful update that so many people are asking for What is the point in having that bookmark feature when it doesnt seem possible to bookmark the stations I use in a daily basis So dumb Get with it and have a favorites feature or make your bookmark feature functional like so many other navigation apps           Accurate times but no favorite address feature

This thing is really annoying Keeps asking me to update Plenty of pop ups annoying you so I deleted it Its my decision to update or not and if I dont want to then dont annoy me     Annoying pop ups

Lately its been having problems locating the address I need directions to On my iPhone 5 it worked perfectly fine No complaints But now since Ive gotten the iPhone 6 is been total bs The app can never find the location Please fix this problem     Use to be my favorite app for directions

There has not been an update for iOS 8 yet When I try to open the app it doesnt start up or it crashes during station selections and also system advisories Please dont be negligent a lot of daily commuters in NYC depend on this app        No update

I am a frequent traveler to NYC and I still need some help sometimes This app will actually walk you to the closest station give you all the times the train is running and tell you if the subway route is closed It will also give you different routes you can go depending on your location Very good app I always recommend it to my friends who are going to NYC                 Amazing App

Push notifications have stopped working I downloaded this app for service advisory updates and the push notifications dont work anymore Fix please        Fix push notifications

I used to get advisories but for a number of months now do not I have reset my settings and reinstalled the app numerous times as well as confirmed my Notification Settings Is the glitch just on my phone Would love to have this feature back which was one of the best parts of the app when I first started using it           Glitch with advisories

I love this app because when Im on a rush I can always go look at the app and I will know when where my train is It always works great                 A great app for people who live in NYC

My husband and I were able to travel all over NYC using this app The times arent completely accurate but the trains come every few minutes anyway so that wasnt a big deal I love that I could click the station on the map and choose to either start or end at a specific stop Also it was really helpful that it mapped the closest subway according to your location I would recommend Thank you                 I wouldnt have made it on the subway without this app

Im not sure how I wouldve gotten around NYC without this app it was a lifesaver Found it clearereasy to read than using Google The app gives you a few routes to choose from gives you exactly which line heading which direction to take It tells you the number of stops lists them all if youre a control freak like myself to your exit Really handy A musthave for people visiting NY and are unfamiliar with the subway system                 Easy to use instructions are clear

Really useful app when the subway is running as scheduled Delaysdiversions are spectacularly inaccurate but since that information is straight from MTA I shouldnt blame Embark Still thats really a huge part of the added value so three stars max Wonder if MTA is working on their own app and are deliberately priming the market           Data quality issues

It knows which stations are where but do NOT trust it to get you to a place It took us in completely the wrong direction on my first trip to NYC and I was forced to tease my boyfriend about mercilessly     Sorta works

Fine app As a lifelong New Yorker I use it often and it is usually accurate However it has an error that indicates you can transfer from downtown to uptown at 50th St station on the C and E You cant Never could and probably never will Please fix this misleading error              Ver useful app

This is better than the other apps It easily and accurately tells me how to walk to the subway entrance Then it tells me which train to take including whether its uptown or downtown This has saved me so much time and is a detail the other apps leave out Thankyou so much Details mean everything for us nonnew Yorkers                 Great for the new comer or tourist

Gotta say I love this app That being said Id love to see some additional functionality Better predictive text CANNOT stress this enough Typing out West for W 4th doesnt bring up the station As someone who moved to NYC this was maddening to adjust to WEEKEND SCHEDULES When I would travel to the city I would get so frustrated waiting for trains only to have a helpful person pity me and tell me you need to take this other train and transfer Even living in NYC now I dont know all the lines so if you could help a fella out thatd be great thanks Saved Routes good if you need to reroute a common route but theres an issue with your usual line Bus integration I know thats not the primary feature but I think it could expand the apps usefulness Overall its a great app but Id love to see those starred items implemented Yeah Id like more accurate train times too but theres only so much that can be done especially when you have no signal in a station              Close to perfect

Please integrate the weekend schedule The updates on diversions and delays are great and always updated regularly Please please please just get the weekend schedules incorporated              Needs a few improvements

This is the best option for using the subway in the city Doesnt need a data connection and is quite fast at routing as long as you know which stop youre taking Luckily theres a map for that UPDATE please include an apple watch app Using the downloaded schedules you should be able to indicate when you boarded at a stop and have the watch remind you when its about time to get off                 Until the mole people invent underground Internet

Last year this app was my go to could plan my trips by the minute In the last 6 months though its always wrong and way off uninstalled it Find a better one dont waste your time        Used to be great

Last month this app otherwise a great idea stopped downloading its subway alertsadvisories This essentially kills 50 of its usefulness Previously if a line had delays stoppages or reroutes the app let you know within minutes realtime It is now garbage Highly advise Apple to stop ruining everything they touch Do not dl this app     No longer updating

My first trip alone and not knowing anyone I was a little scared to get around Thankfully this app was very handy Schedule times were pretty accurate The only thing that might need to get updated would be the gps when it came to locating my location on the walking map Other than that I highly recommend if youre traveling to New York and not knowing the city at all                 Very very handy

Overall the app is super helpful But I got it because I wanted an offline alternative to Google maps If the app fails to load underground literally only when I dont have service the title just freezes and then it quits then I have no use for the app because then I can just use Google Maps        Offline Not Working on iPhone Plus

Their directions were never any good but I kept the app around for the offline map and the service alerts A couple months ago the service alerts stopped working at all Now its mostly useless Oh well Time to find another app        Alerts stopped working

I downloaded this after arriving in NYC It took a little while to figure out how to use it Touch the subway station then designate whether its your starting point or ending point It was the most accurate way of traveling better then using maps or Google Thank you for such an awesome app that was simple to use                 Excellent app

Ive had this app on my iPhone 5S for quite some time I finally got to use it this past weekend when my girlfriend and I spent the weekend in NYC As other reviewers have stated the times may not be accurate but I can assure you that you will not wait for a train for more than 2 or 3 minutes past its ETA                 Invaluable App

This is The Best NYC subway app ever However the Rush Hour alerts have not worked for a long time and thats was one of the most valuable features which I relied on If the 23 have delays I need to know so I can take the 45 instead Fix that problem and this apps the best hands down              Rush Hour Alerts

I love this app so much but after the update it is not allowing me to see the notifications of delayed trains or changes in the schedule I turned my notifications on I even reinstalled the app and the same issue occurred any help please Overall the app is amazing Always on time and very easy to use              Love But
