Mr. MoonLight : Kids Visual Alarm Clock and Nightlight for Sleep Training

I downloaded this app for my 2 year old the app seems to freeze up I turn notifications off and put the phone in airplane mode so that nothing would interfere with the app but the music does not play continuously through the night and it does not go into sun mode as programmed to do sogood concept for an app but def some shortcomings        Good start

I was on the market for an ok to wake type of clock when I found this and its almost what I need It works as advertised however has very few features for the price compared to other apps the main problem is that it doesnt work while running in the background I often give my preschooler my iPod to play with when she wakes up early and I wanted her to be able to check the app for the sun however if the app isnt open the sun doesnt rise it just switches back to the menu supposedly the developers are looking into this if they fix it Id give it 4 stars picsmusic are nice looking forward to updates           its a start

A reviewer below said it doesnt resume if your kid pushes the home button but dont worry about that because they must have fixed it because it resumes It works for us and our two year old sleeps in a bit longer while waiting for it to change to a sun We own one of those 30 clocks that does something similar but that clocks back light was too bright not to mention the cost of batteries was outrageous If you have an old iPhone or itouch you could use for it as we do its perfect In my opinion the extra half hour and occasional hour our son sleeps in due to this app pays for the app itself Just note that it keeps your itouchiPhone on all night so youll need to plug it in over night                 Works great for us

I love this app We were on the verge of ordering the physical version of the app for 35 and the app has more features for 299 Thats more than I usually pay for apps but this is worth every penny ten times over                 Fantastic

After three early rising kids and numerous nightlights or other dim lights on timers this app is the best thing we have found so far to show our toddler age 25 when it is time to wake up It doesnt actually wake her but she understands the concept and loves the graphics Best three bucks I have spent in a long time                 Great app

Awesome app Weve been needing this and it couldnt have been released at a better time for us We are in the middle of relocating from one country to another and this app is really helping the kids with adapting to the new time zonesand giving us parents a few more minutes of peace and quiet The kids feel empowered by having their own alarm clock too THANKS SO MUCH                 THANK YOU

I was at my wits end with my sons abnormally early wake patterns and decided to give this app a try and save about 40 over a special clock from a childrens specialty store I am thrilled with it and in just a couple days time my son is sleeping till the time I want him to I would give it five stars if it would work in landscape orientation so we could run it more easily on our iPad which is more stable in landscape orientation Im hoping that will come soon              Woot woot

This app is great nice graphics sweet music to sleep by but if it is reset during the night by my daughter so she can hear the 20 min cycle of bedtime music again the clock resets to the wrong time hence making the suntimer feature irrelevant You have to manually change the time on the clock by a minute or two to keep it working on the right schedule and of course my daughter cant make a tiny change like that at 2 12        Great app with fatal flaw

I bought this app to help my four kids know when they can get up in the morning Certainly was better than spending 40 on a clock that did the sameexcept 1 You cant lock the iDevice and still see the moonsun This means its totally likely my kids will get up in the middle of the night or in the morning and grab said iDevice and begin playing with it defeating the entire purpose 2 The battery drain is obscene because the screen never times out You really do need to leave it plugged in because even with an iPad that had extensive battery life it will be dead before the sun comes up 3 If you close out of the app you need to set it back up every time both for nap and bed Not a HUGE inconvenience its just a number wheel but an inconvenience nontheless Overall 300 isnt awful but I would have rather known these three things before purchasing           Great idea bad follow through

Works great with our little one however Ive gone in after 730 a couple times to find it still on the moon when it was set to wake at 730am This is confusing to the concept for her and Im fearful itll lessen its effectiveness              Timer Bug please fix

Just downloaded and used this app for the first time last night I am 100 certain that I set morning for 800am I came into the daughters room at 801am and the countdown timer still said 20 minutes My daughter is learning to tell time and when I tell her that The moon will change to a sun at 8 AM eightzerozero it is not acceptable and confusing to her that the moon didnt change Before setting the app for the evening I checked out all the features setting the clock to one or two minutes into the future Everything worked fine Perhaps there is something wrong with the app when the clock is set for hours into the future I would give this app 5 stars if it werent for the timer issue My child is not scared of a picture of a sun and a moon although options wouldnt be terrible at all I am glad it would have changed 20 minutes late rather than 20 minutes early but I will have trouble trusting the app and for the confusion it will cause my daughter I will not use it If this were the real world instead of Apples app prison I would probably return the software for being defective Since its only 3 I guess Ill just deal with it but Im not a fan of paying people for poor work Update Im changing my review from 3 stars to 1 star because there has still been no update to fix the timer issue The longer the timer is set the larger the offset It is not a consistent offset nor is it linearly related to the length of the timer The other night it was off by over an hour     Timer Issue

Great in concept but clock only right half of the time More often than not Ill hit goodnight but the countdown timer will be completely wrong eg 45 minutes instead of 8 hours Grr     Fatally Flawed

At 745 pm I set the alarm for 615 am It says there are 72 hours until the alarm goes off If at 615 am I set the alarm for 620 am it says there are 18 hours until the alarm goes off The time is never correct and it confuses and upsets my daughter when the sun doesnt come up even though the clock says shes allowed to get out of bed There are ways to fiddle with the app to make it work but it seems to me that a paid app should work the way it says it will Dont waste your money     Too many bugs

I have never felt strong enough about an app to write a review This app did it for our son Our son who has always been a great sleeper started to wake up really early and would then be super crabby I wanted to get the Kidsleep Classic but could not afford the 3999 right now This does the exact same thing and is so easy                 Save yourself 3799 This is AMAZING

I gave this app 3 stars based on its potential It has exactly what I was looking for in a visual timer for my toddler However there are bugs in the timer and it does not reliably go off when it has been programmed to do so This is so disappointing for an app that otherwise has everything I am looking for           Great potential but timer bugs

Our family has been using this app nightly It consistently misses the wake up time in timer and clock mode It very frustrating for my children waiting in bed for the clock to turn The concept works but I would not recommend the app until these bugs are worked out     Disappointing

This app is the BEST forgot my kids Ok 2 wake alarm clock on vacation found this app SOOO much better than the clock They set the alarm themselves listen to the music which is delightfully long enough for them to fall asleep then wake or stay in bed until the sun appears It is actually teaching them to stay in bed longer SO AWESOME Thanks 4 great app                 MUST HAVE

Exactly what I was looking for in a visual alarm clock for my two year old Thank you Cant confirm the bug on the clock not working It works fine for me One request Id like to make is for landscape mode to be supported We use the Smart Cover to prop up the iPad and landscape mode would orient your beautiful pictures properly I really hope you add more songs and pictures Maybe even some animations ie twinkling stars or drifting clouds at night pulsing sun rays or flying birds in the morningmaybe have your Sun and Moon blink or yawn or smile Lots of playful goodies available here              Great start look forward to more

This was the nicest looking app and it is exactly what we need but very often our 4 year old wakes up hours early and sees the sun when it should still show moon and gets up Frustrating     Timer malfunctions

So close to being an amazing app for training my toddler to sleep and wake at certain time I just really dont like how you need to have the app on all night in order to work If you somehow accidentally hit the home button on the iPad itd eventually go on sleep mode which deactivates this app Does not make any sense to me But the illustrations are cool        Love the illustrations music Dislike usability

This app has one job to do change from moon to sun when I set it so my kids can wake up I set it for 730 am When I went in at 730 the app says it still has 7 minutes before it changes even though the iPad clock says 730 One job to do app and you failed Reading some other reviews Im not the only one having this issue The app also hasnt been updated since 2012 so Im not hopeful it will be fixed     Major Failure

Would be better if the night time lullaby music could have a timer function too as I dont want it to play all night Other than that it is awesome              Nice app

I am bummed this app doesnt work on my first generation iPhone which has been passed down to my son to use as an iPod touch Looks like it would be ideal for letting him know how long to stay in his room     Gzebra

3 stars because its the only app of its kind that Ive found But its very simple for the price and mine has a lot of quirks The first night we tried it the count down got stuck at 22 minutes and never made it to morningsun up Also a request to review the app popped up and paused the clock Finally in the settings mode when I change the music from off to on or vice versa it doesnt always save Ive tried ten times in a row to change the setting but each time I go back to say good night the change I made doesnt happen I hope these quirks get worked out Or Ill be making a new review with less stars           So far disappointed

Would be wonderful if it had a choice of a different moon My three year old screams to turn it off because it is a scary moon looking at her Great idea but with picky preschoolers you need more options              Scary moon

I bought this to help our 3 year old adjust to the time change while traveling in Japan It did help him to sleep or stay in bed during night time and get up in the morning However this app could be better with the following improvements 1 Have the ability to adjust brightness of the sleeping light because it is a bit too bright 2 Have the image work with both orientation not just portrait 3 Instead of setting the wakeup set as a timer it would be more user friendly if we were able to set it in actual wakeup time 4 It would be nice if there soft and soothing animation should the child require some entertainment while waiting to fall asleep or wakeup           Does the job but could use some improvements

I wish I had listened to a previous post My four year old burst into tears screamed threw his phone on the ground and went running when he saw the scary moon sun He promptly told me he didnt want that and for me to take it off his phone I liked the app but after a minute of use I learned my child would have nothing to do with it Need more picture options and the ability for it to stay dark until its time to wake        Money Wasted Child Scared
