Im planning a trip to Costa Rica and this app has been invaluable I look forward to following it when I travel it                 Costa Rica Pura Vida

This guide is very anecdoctal Nothing compared to a Lonely Planet book Weve tried finding stuff and theres just not any info You also need to be at a wifi area to get most of the info even then nothing about osa peninsula food activities are sparse Waste of money     Not very thourough guide

Would not recommend this app Bought it thinking it would be more comprehensive eg Lonely Planet or Frommers but lacks basic information about most areas has only a few towns mentioned and says very little about each The online guides from professional companies are much better wait for one of them to put out a downloadable version or buy a print copy and dont waste your money on this one It needs significantly more content and less promotion You can also usually pick up tourist info at most hotels that will have more detail This doesnt even tell you where you shouldnt drink the water     Very limited

Tremendous amount of info regarding a great variety of sites and activities for all types of visitors Wish we could get the distance converted from kms to miles to ease the calculations for us Americans Otherwise a wonderful app                 Terrifically helpful

Chris Baker is the person I would like to have along to guide me in Costa Rica I enjoyed his writeup on Manuel Antonio Park for example As he says I saw plenty of wildlife especially the sloths I like his adviceget a good naturalist guide I found the naturalist of great value The only thing better would be to have Chris in person leading the hike Chris Baker is the expert guide to Costa Rica                 Chris the expert guide

Costa Rica is on the top of my list of places to visit and this app is a great help in planning my vacation The author is obviously an expert in all things Costa Rica Wonderful descriptions of beaches natural parks restaurants and lodging And the photographs are awesome too                 Great guide to dream vacation spot

This terrific app covers useful information such as hotels and restaurants and the sites that lure visitors to Costa Ricathe national parks nature reserves and beaches But beyond basics Chris Baker an expert in Latin American and Caribbean destinations reveals his deep familiarity with Costa Rica He deals with cultural nuance such as the Tico habit of locating things in relation to other sometimes longvanished landmarks He writes with verve and manages to package details such as the social and eating habits of leafcutter ants in a few brief paragraphs The wildlife guide is alone worth the price introducing the countrys creatures from dazzling hummingbirds to deadly ferdelance                 Covers like the rainforest

This ap is a not at all helpful Lots of promotions for certain resorts or restaurants Not at all comprehensive and flash is an issue for iPad viewing     Not much

Although this gives you list of things an a brief description of eventshotels most links lead to a plug to buy a product to tell you more about something Also there is not a search feature so I could not find my hotel Limited listings        Worthless sales plug

Just got app and Im looking for ideas on travel and things to do So far easy to use and nice pictures           Helpful Ideas

Christopher P Baker has done it again His surgical and brilliant insights into the magical country of Costa Rica provides the first time visitor as well as the veteranvisitor priceless insights As a fellow international travel journalist I have personally watched Baker do his research on the ground in Costa Rica He is a pro and is tenacious in his fact finding quests He also is an old school journalist He does not copy and cut and paste from websites he climbs and digs deep to find primary sources He asks probing questions and verifies the facts I consider myself fortunate and blessed to possess Bakers Costa Rica App And I know you too will share my sentiments once you cruise through this superb excellent app                 Brilliant

A complete travel guide 90 of what I searched for was not found It has a handful of tourist destinations you can get more from free tourist brochures     Not

A very useful well thought out guide this app is definitely 5 There are extensive listing and info on site all across Costa Rica Very helpful                 Valuable app

I would not recommend this app     Mediocre content poorly organized

Buy a book youll get a better fuller picture of Costa Rica This app is for suckers     Crappy

An incomplete gallery of photographs of places in costa rica This is not a guide its more like a tourist album with a crappy interface     Do not waste your money
