Am I missing something No sound no playback        Umm
Ive been using it for a few weeks and see a real improvement i guess people werent lying when they told me i am tonedeaf this app is enjoyable to use and makes a difference motivated me to write my first review                 this is very good
I was delighted to find an app like this for my new iPad My previous ear trainers required I go find an instrument to work with the recording This has the recorded notes the ability to play it back and feedback plus I can use earphones I like that I can request the test notes repeatedly until I get it right I also like that I can change how many notes it plays I expect that when my ear gets better the chord option will be good for me I dont know my intervals well enough yet though My background is that I can read music well enough to pick out a song and memorize it but I would like to be able to play by ear Two features would improve it for me First for the solution page to name the chord not just show the notes of the chord I realize this would only work when I have selected it to play the right number of notes for a chord to be named This would help me to learn the names of chords to go with the sounds The second would be to name the interval Yes I know a fourth when I see one but it isnt as automatic as I would like yet Long term a game mode or other way to track progress could be cool           Good would like more
I like this inexpensive app but it has two problems when running on my iPod Touch 221 1 There is no way to indicate sharps or flats When I was given a tune that began with an F natural ascending to a B flat the application could only display a B 2 At least on my iPod some of the notes sound dissonant as if a pianist had accidentally brushed a neighboring key when playing a note           Nice idea but needs some work
The relative pitch section is nice There must be some way to improve the perfect pitch lessons though They essentially become relativepitch exercises since the key of the previous exercise is still in your head when you hear one           Good start
