I like the app its a great idea but after i work hard on a map and i try to save it but it freezes up and all my progress is gone             Bugs 😃😃😃😃😃😃🐈🐆🐈🐈🐈🐆

So the app really looked good online and the graphics were exactly what I was looking for in a map creation tool I read some of the reviews no one seemed to like the UI much but I figured I would work with it I download and install on my iPad so I can go right to work I create a small map and attempt to save it and the application locks up No big deal I realize I need to register and create an online account in order that my device has an online location to store data Of course I think that s what the problem is So I register I restart the app and login I create a map and the app freezes when I try to save No matter what I do save save as the app freezes It does not save a map I have been working on It essentially is 100 useless to me in its current state I really hope that my 1 99 goes a long way towards QA and development of a version of this that actually works     So Sad madhornytoad

I d like to see more items you can make the cars are kinda dumb because at most you ll use this app for dnd put like a trap icon in it or like a weapons rack custom notes you can put within the maps would be really nice if i could put notes on the map id be able to put important notes in it like a note for behavior of a dungeon or cave Ex goblins go hunt at night 2 goblins during the day because they re hunting leave it in the map so i don t have to write it down Allowing us to add pictures to our maps would be good too instead of limiting us to A B C 1 2 3 id put a picture of a goblin so i don t have to look at my key that i made to know what it is             More items Thisgamesmejekekem

I would love to see much smaller grids grid size options scrolling smoothly instead of only by halves or quadrants maybe add color for foliage water etc it seems very very chunky blocky and clumsy Not a lot of options for fine tuning or adding any sort of detail Lots of bugs The scrolling jumps and is very hard to find the pieces or maps you need Scrolling while building is even worse Freezes often and or boots you out It also gets stuck in object placement mode sometimes I think the concept is great and this has a lot of potential but I would not recommend purchasing this until it has been developed more         Clumsy and chunky early development t-monk chef

After five minutes I knew there would be issues You can t customize your own map size You can t scroll or zoom using gestures whatsoever and the options of symbols listed are poorly drawn But the WORST is that if you try to draw lines on the grid They don t even line up WITH the grid They re always either too short or too long This is a 2 scam Don t fall for it     MASSIVE waste of time HunterDuke

While the app offers you the ability to create maps on the fly along with access to a database of pre generated material it still falls very short of a releasable product The UI is intuitive but hampered in usability Icons are a bit too small which combined with insta jump scroll bars you are left often in frustration trying to get that one piece you need Scrolling takes a bit of finesse to master along with placing objects However it does look like the app may build out the object feature with the More feature but for now it is only a larger view of what s already available BUG 1 While placing an object near the bottom edge of the map then pressing the SCROLL icon locks the interface in object mode forever You can t delete it If you try to save and reopen the map loads with the object free floating and stuck in object mode BUG 2 When exporting a large map to the image library the upper left quadrant gets exported twice then the bottom two quadrants get exported The upper right never gets exported While the app has great potential as an ad hoc map creation tool it still has a very long way to go     Great Potential Needs A lot of Work CAyers2206

Should have read the reviews honestly before purchasing I just so exciting of a cool looking app that would allow me to make maps upon maps upon maps 1 99 isn t a lot but this app should be free given how poorly it s made It doesn t work It doesn t register taps or scrolling The interface is very irritating and buggy You want to scroll up or down on the list of possible walls or objects Good luck Cause it fails to do even that one simple task I want this app to work but it doesn t Seeing as how there hasn t been an update for more than a year it s looking like it might never work     Promising but fails immensely Wa-waaaaa

I bought this tool largely to use the vast database of maps What I discovered is that there is no good search tool and scrolling through the maps on my iPad is horribly buggy So much so that I cannot use that aspect of the program The map maker itself well it s pretty clear why this is a 1 99 product and not a 9 99 product         Not at all user friendly Cloak of Winter

So I ve used this for two years It works okay but I agree that the interface is too CAD like and not friendly to the casual user Now put in a little effort and you get great maps with quite a few features THAT YOU CAN PRINT OUT AT D D MINIATURE SCALE You don t get that just anywhere Would love to see the devs come up with Ye Olde Dungeon Creator and would give this 5 stars if they add more objects In the meantime enjoy Put in the effort and enjoy                 Nice Coyote99901

If you want an app to pull together a quick map in black and white this is your app It is worth every penny of the list price but don t expect a 25 value if you want a full featured map design tool your are in the wrong store There are a few features that I hope arrive in future updates but the app is stable on my iPad and does what is advertised                 Good at what it does Old Dad 79

I m sorry to say that after trying to use Ye Old Mapmaker for iPad I found it to be clunky and buggy I felt like it was keeping me from making a map I really liked the way it looked in the store but once again I got caught in an App Trap Stuff that looks good in the App Store that isn t The web based version is better but not by much I give it two stars because it has so much potential Also I couldn t find an UNDO command         App Trap gamemasterbob

While I applaud the effort and some of the pre made maps are really handy The potential of this app is crushed by the unfriendly interface There is unfortunately nothing easy intuitive or standard about the interface Large graphics in the UI lead to lots of scrolling or stepping through content and I found that when scrolling it would continually reset to the top of the list causing great frustration and aggravation What little I was able to do with the editor was also clunky drawing over or next to existing walls would delete them rather than connect them even though the was a separate delete button All in all I was very disappointed in the experience I had hoped for a much smoother app but for now it seems I ll stick to pen and paper         Interface BrokenTip

This app has every thing you would need to make a dungeon but you can only go so big and when you are setting up walls the delete button gets stuck on so all you can do from there is place objects unless you want to delete everything         It s got potential Scuba_Steve9001

Map is very difficult to use on iPad The toolbar gets in the way and prevents you from drawing on the right side of the map The draw feature is way to sensitive The app doesn t allow for you to easily merge lines for borders and there ends up being gaps where there should be a solid wall Also the tool bar should allow a way to scroll down the toolbar without having to constantly tap on an icon to keep it from automatically scrolling up to the top Overall this has been the most ineffective 2 I have spent in a long while This app is far from streamlined or user friendly and is very cumbersome This needs some major retooling         Good in Theory not reality Rampage.Maypin

The wall drawing tool is a great idea but in practice feels rather glitchy and unpredictable More of a tile based solution would be good here see auto tiles from the RPG maker series         Good idea UI needs some work Nine Tail

This is almost what I was looking for but it falls short in a few areas to the point of being unusable for me Suggested changes 1 Allow user to specify and later change the dimension The current map has way too few squares 2 Allow map to be scrolled so that it doesn t overlap onscreen controls I can t draw in some squares because the buttons get in the way 3 The scrolling behavior is really weird Fix it It acts like there s a lag making the whole thing react slushy 4 Either allow me to draw on the outer edge or move the letters and numbers in a square It seems wrong that a drawing should start at B2 5 A setting to control numbering scheme for squares Numbers in some situations would be good for both columns and rows Hexidecimal would also be a nice option for large maps 6 a recently used items drawings section would help too to reduce scrolling through drawing menus This app has promise I m hoping you ll keep working on it         Could be good with some work Overly Critical

Using a non retina iPad mini The register fields have a font size issue The password field took 5 times for it to accept After placing an object when you try to move it you end up drawing walls in addition to moving the object After that I closed the app Great idea But very very buggy         Great concept Very buggy krypticos

The options are very limited only a few walls and doors only a few objects to place and a very small map There are many better dungeon makers online many of which are in color This isn t very helpful for drawing a map for you game unless you re desperate the lack of items and color leave the maps feeling empty and dull     Waste Pokefrisco
