Yak Messenger - Free Text, Group, Photo, Audio and Video Messaging

I love to use this app It has worked great up until this last upgrade When you get to the 2nd line or after you cant see what is being typed              Update is not good

Killer feature is a PIN code for opening the app                 Best IM for sexting if you want to hide it from your kids

I like de app The only thing I might add is emoji with animation                 Emoj Animation

While this latest update solves many of the previous updates problems there still are many that need to be fixed I have no volume on yak and its definitely a yak problem not a phone problem        Better but needs work

What can I replace this with Up day is terrible     Bludogtx

I have been using yak for several years It is never flawless but does the trick Often unable to update and unload messages Currently the notifications numbers that appear on the app in the home screen have disappeared No way to know if you have messages unless you open the app Very frustrating Hope it gets fixed     Notifications not working

Very disappointed The write up before I bought Yak sounded great Then once I bought Yak I found out that all my friends I want to text they too have to buy the app Yak Text app works much better Sorry I bought Yak Now using Text     Yak

The update is not as great as the prior updates Even if you follow the instructions the time stamps are differ from each other I also do not like that there is a quick second of the last page prior to entering the password Defeats the purpose of privacy           Good app

The last update seriously screwed up my app It said bug fixes but it completely jacked the app Please fix it Its unusable as it is now     Seriously bad update

Since the update the screen no longer adjusts to turning my phone sideways Also before my password screen comes up the last screen I had open shows up for about two seconds I hate both of these updates        Worse since update

Hello I loved this app but since new version downloaded i got my msgs cut from first letter and not auto scrolling to next line while typing the message Plz fix this bug It looks lil messed up Thanks                 Bugs of cutting messages

Just installed this app and every time I try to add my phone number it crashes so I cant do anything with it I have to delete it Fix this     Crashes

It works great I think its alot better than other messaging apps like kik and pal                 Great app

This app only works for chatting with other yak users and not any mobiles phones        Only Yak Contacts

Its pretty good not too buggy and the clips are great Just lags a little when sending files that are large voice movie clips etc              Yak

I have used Yak daily for almost two years on both my iPhone and iPad and it has always performed as intended by its developer without problem Whats more the most current update works without problem using either iOS 6 still on my iPhone and iOS 7 on my iPad At a price of 1 same as two years ago it is reliably the best app for value received Its intuitive functionality and settings customization provides each user with an individual experience I highly recommend Yak Messenger                 The best allinone iOS messenger available

I used to love this app Not loving the way it doesnt work with IOS8 Always freezing or drops what Im doing and quits When I insert audio clips a white box appears where the microphone used to be and the app freezes Then You can only get back to using the app by powering off your iPhone        Still Love this app

I love this app you dont have to pay for 1530 seconds of VIDEO lol lol i know i can send a 34 minute video SAME WITH AUDIO at least 345 minute audio you set the limit you want the quality I do wish you could have the option to view or not view a persons email I lost contact with a friend after talking for over 2 years if they had access to my email that I choose to use for apps such as YAK then they could have stayed in touch known nothing had happened to me I just didnt have Internet access for the app But still retrieved my emails periodically thru my data plan MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYTHING ELSE THOI REALLY WISH THAT WHEN YOUVE TYPED ALL THAT WILL BE ALLOWED TO VIEW AT ONE TIME THAT YAK WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO CONTINUE TO TYPE IM A BIG TEXTER MUCH OF WHAT I WRITE IS LONG IVE WRITTEN A GREAT DEAL JUST TO HIT SEND THEN FIND OUT 2PARAGRAPHS BACK IS WHERE IT STOPPED THEN THERE I AM TRYING TO REMEMBER RETRIEVE THE SAME INSPIRED WRITING THATS ALREADY GONE ALREADY TYPED ITS NEVER QUITE THE SAME WHEN YOU HAVE TO RETYPE SOMETHING WHATSAPP STOPS YOU U CAN TYPE A LOT BUT IT DOESNT LET YOU CONTINUE TO TYPE ONCE YOUVE HIT THEIR LIMIT OF LETTERSCHARACTERS IS NO SMALL AMOUNT EITHER Other than thatTHIS IS THE PERFECT APP 1Of my 2 Faves CAlisaBT                 YAK MESSENGER IS BEST APP OUT THERE

I updated to the newest because it said it was fixing the previous update Now my background is half the size of the screen the rest black It did fix the text that was cut off on the right side But going Back causes the main conversation list screen to delay     This update is bad

it doesnt work with iphone 5 why     fix it

The media component is archaic Many short video clips wont show up at all family has to email them And all media gets stored seemingly forever There seems to be no way to group delete the media files that take up way too much storage space without deleting the app and starting over Also there could be a keyword search When looking back to find a reference or whatever you should be able to type in a keyword and get a few possibilities And then there is the matter of not having a single global ID Have to make a new logo for every device Maybe I should have said 2 stars           Chatting is great but

To Bad in iPhone 4S iOS 704 Too many crashes so bad pls Fix it     Crash

This app works pretty much the same as kik except you can add video and voice clips Only thing I really dont like is when someone sends me a pic and I click on it the back button disappears and Im stuck on the picture for like 2 minutes before the back button reappears Its pretty annoying If that could be fixed that would be awesome              Pretty good I guess

Passcode lock screen is pointless now As all I need to do to bypass lock screen is hit Cancel No good Also lags since updategiving a preview of conversation before lock screen appears     What happened
