This dictionary done right for the iPhone A snappy and clean interface                 Good job

UPDATE WTF Internet connection ONLY over wifi NOT 3G First this is not really a dictionary as there are no actual definitions what it is is a quick simple word translation cross reference Often as not someone trying to learn a new language travel abroad or simply have a basic conversation with a speaker of a foreign language needs to quickly locate a single word they do not yet know or remind themselves of a word they have not yet committed to memory Thats where this app comes in handy A great improvement in my opinion would be to allow simple crossreferencing of a target language word translation by simply tapping on the list item for that word For example entering the English word run will produce a list of several possible Spanish translations Tapping on one of those items such as correr would then flip the translation direction and scroll the list to that word as a new source word left side providing the English translation words on the right Tapping in turn on the original word entered would return you to the previous translation direction and list of possible words As for the three stars Im a tough grader so this is pretty good for me It also reflects a degree of untapped potential in this app which could be added to future updates without compromising the simpicity that has already given this app good reviews The tapping crossreference idea mentioned above would alone be worth another star or two        OK Worth the price of a beer

This app is simple but useful in basic conversations in market or in class It works without Internet plus the online dictionary Thats what I love about this application User interface is slick I have been using it for a few days quite stable no crash at all The word coverage is very good                 Perfect travel companion

A little too basic Hopefully theyll add more words to the dictionary but overall its simple and works well           Mmmm Indifferent

I absolutely love the user interface of this app but geez so many of the translations are just weird you cant rely on it if you want to communicate sensibly with a Spanishspeaking person Who knows what you might end up saying Or who you might insult Yikes           Easy to use but

The best of this app is simple but extremely practical Its nice to have a dictionary in hand without internet I refer to this dictionary everyday                 Fantastic

We just returned from a panama canal cruise where we stopped in several Latin America countries where we used this app extensively It was most helpful during a medical emergency in Columbia Two thumbs up              Awesome app

I love the way it scrolls With the quick dynamic search it saves me a lot of time The dictionary is perfect in hurry situations Highly recommended                 Surprisingly works well

The only potential problems is knowing how to spell something if you heard it same as any dictionarytranslator and sometimes it doesnt have more broad words translated both directions Like for ENG will give you para SPA and por SPA but if you enter por SPA it wont come up as anything Overall a good buy though              Simple Easy Useful

I am currently studying spanish and wanted to get a good translator on my iphone I didnt want to spend 2025 but wanted something that would work offline in case I was traveling out of the country and also that had a high word count I just bought it cant beat the 099 and used it while I worked on two exercises in one of my books There were four words I didnt know and this app translated three of them I would have given 99 cents just for those three translations alone I would definitely recommend this app                 VERY good app for the price

Complete authoritative dictionary Nope Doesnt claim to be But in terms of a handy onthefly resource the interface is dandy and this is great for times when you need a word fast And noncomprehensive though it is the amount of word data is surprisingly good for what it is Ive been nothing but pleased                 Fast handy great

This dictionary might not be as comprehensive as other expensive ones but it do a very good job to look up basic words Agree with everyone it is simple easy to use and crazy fast My mom even likes it Yes the design is cool                 This app fits me well

This is a good idea but it has too many errors to rely on it The good 1 A quick and easy interface 2 Landscape mode which is very helpful for longer entries 3 Links to the excellent Word Reference web site a big plus The bad 1 Missing letters leave words unintelligible the ñ seems to be missing a lot 2 No capitalization 3 Many wrong definitions 4 Most importantly too many obscure or archaic definitions for words that make no sense This is a typical weird entry comer in English comesttvto eat in Spanish comer in Spanish comiccorrodeeatfeedlunch in English Or my favorite ir locomote when was the last time you used that word Wish list 1 Rank definitions by most used not alphabetically 2 Add a shake feature to take you to a random entry for learning new words 3 Edit the dictionary to make it really useful There are similar complaints on the other versions of WordRoll 4 Add articles for nouns As nothing material has changed in a long time I guess the developer is happy with the app the way it is Too bad        Too many wrong and obscure definitions

Easy to locate and pull out the word you need The app is blended so well with online dictionary You can click the word to find out more information about it I love both skins of the app although the scroll skin look more appealing For the price it works like a charm                 Functional and entertaining

I am somewhat disappointed in this app because it is intended more for the european application of english spoken in England and spanish spoken in Spain It is not adequate at all if it is to be primarily used for common english spoken in the US or common spanish spoken in Mexico There are terms phrases and spelling of words commonly used in the western hemisphere that are apparently quite different in Europe        WordRoll ESSpanishEnglish Translation Dictionary

Well worth the price Unlike most other Spanish dictionaries it doesnt default to English every time it is started              Fast and remembers prefered language

The interface is beautiful quick useful intuitive The problem is that the definitions are not ordered by usefulness or commonality Look up dog and the first word to come up is can huh Buscar gives you dig first instead of the overwhelmingly more common to look for I looked at probably the five most common Spanish verbs and found absolutely useless translations which though correct somewhere completely obscure the likely translation which is buried in a list below Try it Look up ir caminar comer Great start but they need to prioritize Comer as far as we care is eathighlight that and then you can add the less common usages under it Another broader problem not their fault is the absence of conjugated verbs If youre trying to read a Spanish newspaper youre going to see the word voy a lot but you wont find it on this listor any verb that isnt in its ar er ir form           Problems

The whole point of my getting this was to scroll quickly through the word list Instead every few dozen words the spinner stops and waits while new words are loaded to the roller Not very smooth     Slow

You get what you pay for Really quick and easy to look things up BUT it has loads of errors words spelled wrong space instead of ñ is missing common words like shortcut and is useless if you dont know enough Spanish to ignore all the words that are clearly not right no definitions           Its ok

This is Spanish at a fiveyearold vocabulary level Nearly useless for a travelling business person It does however teach you to translate Jimi Hendrix into Spanish Oyvay        Disappointed

Ive only had it for 30 seconds I see immediately that spanish nouns do not have an el or la with them bummer           No EL or LA

This is easy to use and fast Once downloaded the dictionary is on my ipodI dont need to have an active wireless connection to use it The dictionary is not as robust as I would like some words I attempt to look up arent there but overall its a great tool for everyday conversation A lot of the vocabulary in Harry Potter is missing Well worth the buck I paid for it              Nice dictionary

First 2 words I tried spanish speaking friends said they were not correct and did not understand Why is it so hard to get a simple translator and if it is going to be spanish what spanish is it Mexican Spain Made me look dumber than if i did not have it     First 2 words I tried were not correct
