Addendum 1711 I already wrote a review but I just wanted to update my 5 stars for your new version The game is still beautiful well designed fun And with absolutely no crashes or problems on either iPhone4 or iPad PS Thank you Monkey Fritz for the excellent description I have had too many apps and updates of apps that crash or wont load and run lately So I just wanted to say thanks for the care and quality you put into this app And the detailed description of what is yet to come was most appreciated as well This app is gorgeous plays wonderfully and no problems with the update I will look forward to further updates and other apps you may release                 Thank You

I agree with other reviewers that the app is absolutly beautiful However the AI is very weak I have tried all levels and all location configurations and have only failed once among close to 20 plays I will definitely update the review and increase the star level once the AI is better           Nice app definitely need stronger AI

I found this difficult to figure out There is not much in the way of instructions within the game           Needs instructions

So this game is definitely beautiful and has great potential but the single player is pretty lame As other reviewers said it is way too easy I found that if you enable six bots it is a bit more challenging but after a couple rounds you can beat it every time too This game would be much better if there was some sort of story mode and if the ai was much smarter I look forward to trying to play with friends but this game needs some massive updates to be awesome Also tweaking the rules to that games dont last a meager 2 mins would be advantageous I really hope the developers are continuing to improve this game but right now its definitely not worth even a free download        Great potential

First off this game is gorgeous The gameplay is fun and it just feels magical particularly on the iPad But the new user experience and navigation between games needs a major overhaul It took a visit to the forums for me to realize that you have to click on the tiny arrows in the book to return to the main menu Also theres no quick tour or tutorial and the game rules are buried beneath the updates rather than getting their own linkI also feel like the game was designed for the iPad first and then squeezed onto the iPhone Ive tried it on both and while the gameplay feels natural on the iphone tapping the tiny arrows and stones makes me want to whittle down my index finger I hope the experience surrounding the game can improve to match the fun and quality of the gameplay itself as they release updates Carcassone had similar problems at first but they have been since solved elegantly and I believe the Trouble Brothers can do just as good a job with Wizard Hex Keep up the good work           Beautiful gameplay confusing navigation

Crashes mid game and exits out Needs tutorial on how to play not sure about player menu its kind of confusing about human player vs computer players and who controls what with the drop down scrolls          

Ok so this is a really fun strategic game Not many games are this challenging and creative AND host up to 6 players on one iPad Get it while its cheap                 Wow

I am giving this game 5 stars but at the same time I am saying dont buy There are not enough people playing this game to make it worth while since you only get to play against the computer They should refund peoples money and give this app away to get people playing           Dont buy

I appreciate the level of detail that went into this Bring on the online multiplayer                 Well done

Lets start with the negative I was shocked that Trouble Brothers was willing to ship this product without any sort of tutorial That was potentially a fatal mistake but it seems that most users have overcome this issue I liked the graphics and sound so much I was willing to jump on their web site forums and read through all the rules Once done I had a great understanding of how to play My wife and I then spent some time in bed playing this on the iPad Yes thats what we did And it was great I do highly recommend this game Deceptively simple rules once you understand them yet balanced excellently Its true that the complexity is subtle but this is a very easy game to get into And oh so pretty Highly recommended I havent tried this 12 update which purportedly adds instructions on how to play Im guessing itll fix that only issue                 Surprisingly good game

the game is not bad however it could have just been called Hex It would have been nice to have some magical element to the game which is what I thought the game was going to have within it Just a very interesting chesschecker type game           Could have been called just Hex

First things first it doesnt make sense its a waste of time to get this     Uh

This looks like a simple game but it has layers of strategy with different game types depending on where you and your opponent start on the board There are three difficulty settings to help ease you into the game Easy to pick up and learn but hard to put down and stop This game is unique and well worth the purchase price                 Lots of fun

This is a well developed game The strategy is good the graphics are good the detail is good Overall 5 stars True it is a bit pricey but I am glad I bought it Bit confusing to learn but once you figure it out it is fun                 Great Game

its a stunningly beautiful looking game but I can beat the computer every time even on master level please make the AI more competitive and online multiplayer would be amazing              gorgeous but too easy

If you like board games youve gotta get this one Its a completely fresh concept and is really fun Easy to learn but has a ton of depth No its not based on a physical board game this is it right here                 Superb

I havent tried all the possible combinations of where the computer starts or the number of computers but like another viewer said the ai even on masters difficult easy easy in a one to one in opposite direction I would possibly hold off on purchasing this unless you have someone you can play with you locally because there is no online multiplayer yet or until they improve the AI possibly Currently the AI difficult is just the number of tiles you get to start with This may be challenging when faced with multiple opponents but its still simple in 1 v 1 from across The graphic is simple the board and the game is simple to understand The rules were available when you click on the question mark on the side I think it was harder figuring out the rules then beating the master level in the simplest settings Maybe if they had recommended setups that go up in difficult           Maybe okay if you have someone to play with but ai may be too simple

Love the obvious care taken visually Strategic intricacies are hard to figure out without a demo Would love to see a random game setup function Needs turnbased online play over 3G Special abilities for each element will be very cool when that happens Allinall very good start good job devs              Very good can be great

Wizard Hex isas it stands a more than passable classic abstract board game The unique aspect is being able to use neutral and sometimes opposing pieces to your advantage The developers have a full plate with their proposed future additions to the game If they continue to support this product the game can only get better Recommended           Already very good

This game is gorgeous and very great music is also great too Easy to learn but an online video showing the instruction might actually a little bit better than writings a the only thing thats a bit bad to this game is that the AI is pretty easy to beat up XP maybe add up a few more levels of difficulties like Master Of Master or maybe Legend the point is this game will be greater if it could just have a harder AI D i hope u like my idea XD oh oh more elements might do too XD like a bigger board maybe an 8 sided board D haha well if u could though anyway great game never EVER went out of my itouch D i usually delete a lot of apps out of my itouch because it is boorinnng XP                 What a great game

This is a fantastic board game Playing against the AI is OK but the game really shines when you play online multiplayer The strategies and infinite and the gameplay is incredibly deep Match that with great moodsetting music and fantastic graphics and you have an excellent board game Be sure to check out the devs website as they are more than happy to set up online games with customers                 Amazing

Thought the game was great if hard to start I only wish that the AI was tougher but it has a lot of potential my suggestions tougher AI a tutorial and maybe a new board or some special game changing effect        Beskargam

Updated Review The AI is still weak The developer says that the single player is just a teaching tool go online to play against real people because thats how the game was meant to be played WELL GUESS WHAT Ive yet to find anyone online to play So for me and I would assume most everyone else this game is worthless My sugestion would be for them to stop making excuses and put some time and money into making competive AI they could learn a lot from games like Neuroshima Hex First Impression To say this game has potential is an understatement It is very creative and effective in design The only thing that keeps me from playing this game more is the Artificial Intelligence I read a blog where the developers said that they envisioned this game as a multiplayer game with real people foremost But if they want to have a MEGA hit on their hands they should make an investment in an outstanding AI programmer and I promise you this game will take off This could be a game in brick and mortar stores along side such classics as monopoly or scrabble its that good I give this game 5 stars because I feel these guys will not let us down           In Need Of Repair

I am very impressed with this game maybe more so than any other iOS game that Ive had Unfortunately it seems to have been abandoned Shame All you need to do is add asynchronous play so that the few people playing can connect and then run a price cut or giveaway to raise awareness about this wonderful game              So much potential

Trouble Brothers LLC you guys definitely copied Chinese Checkers Wizard Hex is nearly exactly played like Chinese Checkers which gets boring One star for the graphics and deleting this app     Seriously

Its not even worth a penny     Dont buy

This is a very well designed game with incredible polish except for one thing the AI It is way too easy to beat the AI even on master level Its disappointing too because Id love to see how the AI and thus the devs strategize in this game But I cant because the AI just isnt smart Fix that one thing and this is a 5 star game              Great game poor AI

My friend and I got this game There is a bit of a learning curve We watched the You Tube video a couple of times and it still took us a few minutes at the end of the first few games to figure out why we won But I think we know most of it now and the game truly shines Just because a strategy works once does not mean it will work the next time The AI does seem like it is there to show you how to play I think it would be cool if the multiplayer option could be offline By this I mean that I could take my turn and then do other things while my friends take their turns Currently you have to both be on only the game the entire time Thanks for a great game                 Awesome Game

Latest update made the game more stable it did crash on occasion before Now it runs quite smoothly You play the game by choosing one of six elements assigning either computer or human players to the other five or leaving up to four of them blank Pieces are placed on the board on a space adjacent to a piece of the same element Attacking is done by moving a piece toward an adjacent enemy piece when attacking both your piece and your enemies piece are removed from the board Transmuting pieces stacking them on top of each other fortifies your defensive position Gold pieces a stack of three cannot be attacked though they can still attack The interesting part is that you can place and attack with pieces from your Allies the elements on either side of you whether those elements belong to another player or not Further more you cannot attack or be attacked by your Allies They can however attack each other which you can force them to do in order to further your own goals It took me about a half hour to figure out the game and find a rather simple strategy for beating the computer in one on one but adding more players changes things quite drastically Playing a three player game has its own unique strategy vs a six player game as well Cant wait to play this against some of my friends would gladly pay more for a physical version of this game Brilliantly simple yet complex game sure to please any strategy fan If you are like me and always looking for that unique game with classic elegance this deserves a place in your strategy folder                 Simple yet Elegant

As has already been said its a simple game to learn but it can have deep strategy to it A good brain teaser that can make your brain sweat It looks so good graphically that it makes me want to find an Onyx version of the physical board game                 Good game

Just because I appreciate what the developers have produced This is a very simple easy to learn yet ultimately very deep game Modern day Go or Chess is an apt description The graphics are superb the interface is classy and I have never experienced crashing on my iPad 2 Looking forward to the rumored potential update that will make it a little more wizardly but I hope those rules are optional as spells and whatnot might turn off some new players I havent pushed the limits of the AI yet but I havent found the first two levels of difficulty to be much of any trouble But Im too chicken to try out the master level Anyway well worth my money and time                 Not perfect but wanted to give it 5 stars anyway
