It works when it works but unfortunately you have to already be in a WiFi location to find out where others are I was just at a restaurant and tried to find a hotspot but could not The app could not even locate me Worst of all it never heard of Paris France OK but

My head line pretty much covers it but add more I would say the filters and service descriptions make this much more than a bare bones wifi scanner A genuinely nice app I have used several versions this one is still quite good seems to be actively supported as of this date Great app with many useful features no catch
The database for mexico city shows very few hotspots it is obvious it is not updated and the interface to add a hotspot to the database simply dues not do anything at all Very poor database and hotspot adding doesnt work

This is a very good WiFi locator application You can find WiFi spots by closest location worldwide location by whether its free or paid by type of service it is located in and even by the provider All these filtering options are given to better match what works for you Users can even download wi fi spots when offline so you can have a reference of locations Users can also save locations and even add ones they know about and are not listed in the app Navigation is simple with the ability to tap on a WiFi category from the main menu This is a must have for wifi spot seekers WFi Finder
The pins denoting a wifi location are freaking huge and cover what little map there is All the menu bars cover everything else Small dots and auto hiding menu bars would make this a million times better Even better yet putting all the bars into one menu at the bottom would negate all the needless wasted space Pins are huge on tiny map
It pulled up two locations in my city that are closed one of which has been closed for 6mos Im new here so still learning I gave them 2 stars because the actual functionality of the app works very well including the GPS Just needs to stay updated on locations Thanks for the exercise
Im in Buffalo NY and after allowing the app to use my location a map of my section of Buffalo appears on the screen So far so good I then click on one of the green icons representing a WiFi location and the name Panera Bread appears but with one problem the associated address which appears is for Bayside Queens which is only about 420 miles southeast of my city Not good Solid but needs refinement

In my area there are at least three places to get free wifi None are listed Its Mapleton Oregon I would add them for you but that option isnt available Useless app Would be nice if it worked Maybe it just works in big cities But there you wouldnt need it You could just go to McDonalds or Starbucks No Wifi Places

This program or app as many call it does not scan for a WiFi signal it only looks up WiFi in a database therefore it is worthless I gave it one star only because I can not rate it any lower Does not scan

Its obvious that Starbucks and Panera and libraries have wifi but directing me to an empty building or a furniture store where there used to be a coffee shop with wifi is frustrating Ive had this app for YEARS and its simply not current anymore and no way for me to warn other users I guess constantly asking for a review is be careful what you ask for Please let users update

There are spots on the map that show free WiFi but the company that they note is no longer at that address They need to update this app Database needs to be updated

Would greatly improve app if you were able to ratereview the wifi locations Some free wifis are not really free as you need to have a certain type of account or it is so slow its not worth the stop and youd be better off traveling a bit further for something much better Overall it does work ok but most of the time the wifis are unusable or they are not open when the app says they are open which is a waste of time Needs some improvement
My biggest disappointment is distance from me is shown in km rather than miles Europeans use km but in America we are only familiar with miles yards feet and inches It is not the easiest App to use and I am still trying to figure that out Disappointing App

This app doesnt give you a map view if hotspots when you dont have Wifi connection Whats the use of having it if it needs a Wifi connection to give you a map of nearby hotspots If you turn in airplane mode and disconnect it completely sure itll search the offline database for hotspots But itll only give you listview of them If youre in a strange town how do you know which hotspot is closest without a map view Useless app Useless without wifi

App misses many hotspots I have tried to submit several public wifi hotspots over the last year and none show up in the app And yes I completely filled out their forms Wont take wifi submissions
This is a nice app but it has some shortcomings I would like to see addressed There is no way to submit corrections or updates on these sites You can only report one thats closed or add a new one A number of our WiFi spots locally show as being paid spots and many if not most are free and of course this has changed over time I would like to see the ability to send updates on locations added in also when submitting a new location there is no option to indicate if it is a paid or free location Adding these capabilities will make this app truly awesome Great idea needs a little help
