The Westminster Chimes app does what I want it to do It keeps me apprised of the time of day audibly I have not upgraded to the paid version because I m happy with the Westminster melody If there is some other feature the 0 99 would get me please let me know I gave the app 4 stars because there are two features I would like to see added 1 Instead of the three volume settings relative to the system volume I would prefer a slider that allows a continuous range from almost silent to boom box loud 2 I would like the chimes to mute themselves when music or podcasts are playing Using the mute button is inconvenient because there may be other notifications I want to hear or more commonly I forget to unmute the phone after listening to the podcast and miss calls and texts Overall this is a great app if you want the time announced audibly or if you miss the grandfather clock in your parents living room                 Does what I want it to do Well it's a good idea......

I miss the sound of a grandfather clock chiming each quarter hour So I had high hopes for this app The only problem is that it doesn t sound off when the phone is set to mute like some of the alarm apps I ve found It s nice to sleep for example undisturbed by calls or texts at night yet be woken up by my alarm in the morning It d be helpful to be able to easily switch the mute button so all calls texts other notifications are off while working and still be able to enjoy the quarter hour chimes as I would with an actual chiming clock One other glitch I found that when my screen isn t active the chimes stop That s also frustrating I ve gone through all the settings and thought I set it to still go off when in screen saver mode locked screen But it doesn t sound That s a bummer too Perhaps the app coders will update these features soon Then I ll give it five stars         Nice chime sound Love the idea But still needs work katiemi

I do enjoy the chimes I find it convenient that I do not have to look at the phone to keep track of the time There are sometimes I wish it would be updated with a Big Ben active wallpaper for both home and lock screen I have seen this in other versions of Big Ben clock apps                     Great clock Thank you Victoraro

Downloaded the lite version then decided to do the IAP for the standard version Doesn t seem to work properly had to wake the iPhone to hear the chime gives a banner notification but no option to turn that off it doesn t show up in family s idevice as purchased doesn t show up on iPad etc IOW I don t think this app is up to date         Doesn t work with iOS 8 LAS VEGA5

This app is pretty cool if you love clock chimes You may select to hear a chime every quarter of an hour every half an hour or only at the O clock of every hour you also have the option to select the time frame or number of hours in the day in which you want the chime to mark the hour or rather when not to Additionally you may select the volume level and also the chimes you d like to hear Personally Westminster is the only chime I like and wish there were more than just five chimes to select from but over all I am well pleased to have purchased this app                 Cool App TSCRob
