vSSH HD

vSSH is a perfect SSH client for me It runs very well on my iPad 4 and it is a charm to use Customization is indepth interface is easy to use and the controls are intuitive as well as customizable But it does lack a couple of minor things there are no preset themes you can change colors one by one but it is tedious and no gesture sensitivity setting it can be too sensitive sometimes Aside from that its great and sure is worth a purchase                 Fast beautiful intuitive

I admit I havent tried every SSH app available but why would I This one works perfectly                 Cant imagine better

Generally this is one of the best SSH tools for the iPad that Ive found but it would benefit from better support for the control keys on Bluetooth keyboards              Limited external keyboard support

It claims it can autorun a script on connect but it can only do this for ssh not telnet I just wasted my money on this app If you think it has a feature dont believe it     False features

This works very well Because Im not using a real keyboard I usually use it as a monitor running top or some such The emulation is excellent the screen crisp on my iPad Air SSH keys are easy to register and use I highly recommend it                 Very handy

Please add support for the ios 8 background refresh option When using the app for tunneling we need to switch back to the app every few minutes or it will timeout This was acceptable in the past but now that ios 8 allows background refresh I see no reason not to take advantage of it           Needs background app refresh

If you have a good wireless infrastructure this a great terminal program You can store your login info so that you can login to a switch with the touch of a button In addition to SSH it also does Telnet and works very similar I dont have a serial port adaptor to hook up a console cable So I cant comment on that feature if it even exists                 Excellent SSH terminal

Really like this app Unfortunately since the last update my arrow keys are no longer working Several people in the office are complaining of the same thing We have tried removing the keyboards trying new keyboards and nothing seems to fix the issue This use to be the only app that I would recommend but if it doesnt get fixed soon well have to find something else           Was Awesome

I have been using this for a few weeks to connect to my home server old laptop dedicated to Ubuntu 1004 headless raspberry pi running Raspbmc and an old Dell Optiplex 110 running Libuntu just for fun Seems to be working ok I have not used all the features yet              So far so good

vSSH uses the Putty SSH code internally so the performance is great and the terminal emulation is perfect I use this on my iPad Mini and there is a significant performance improvement compared to other SSH apps ServerAuditor I use a bluetooth keyboard ZAGG Folio and it works great the only things that dont work in vSSH are the CopyPaste buttons I need to use the onscreen buttons instead The one complaint I have about this program is the font Its too light of a font Therefore the characters are too big consume too much screen realestate and yet too thin difficult to read Also there are some weird pixelaliasing issues which cause lines of pixels to be invisible This is sometimes a hassle because the underscore character is usually only one pixel tall When an underscore is on certain lines its invisible and you cant tell if its an underscore or a space character I solve this issue by shifting the line up or down which makes the underscore appear I wish there was an option to use a heavierbolder font I also have one more complaint It is difficult to change color schemes I usually like to work with a black background and white text the default of vSSH But once in a while due to lighting conditions it would be convenient to be able to invert the colors use a white background with black text There is no quick way to do this in vSSH you need to manually remap all of the colors around 32 of them which is a big hassle A simple invert colors button would be a lifesaver But despite the font and color issues this is the best most functional iOS SSH client I have been able to find I use it on a daily basis and it was definitely worth the cost              Fast Good Bluetooth Keyboard Support Terrible font

This is the first time Ive ever been compelled to write a review about an app This is hands down the best app Ive ever purchased I really liked the fact that it supports IOS 511 a rarity these days The app itself makes working from a SSH terminal as easy and seamless as using my Linux desktop Most of the important keys are on the main keyboard so you dont have to keep changing the keyboard view to get to certain keys etc The app works flawlessly and allows me to easily control my raspberry pi board running in headless mode                 Great app

It does everything I need to do to connect to other machines on my LAN and my remote server I really like the ability to customize the keyboard The first thing I did was exchange the vertical bar for the underscore that I use much more frequently                 Great app

Best SSH app in the storewould be a five if you were able to better customize the virtual keys to be custom for your own purposes but even with that missing easy to use fast and able to run multiple terminals at the same timebuy it              One of the Best Apps

Its a shame that a review should just point out the downside of a product Well to me this is a great App very responsive and with nice features The only thing that prevents me from giving the 5th star is that Im not a big fan of the swipe up and down in lieu of the UpDown keys Other than that I use it often and I like it a lot                 UpDown Arrow

Works great to SSH into my linux servers but one thing gets me when you buy this iPad app its not universal so you have to pay for the app again if you want it on the phone But other than that its perfect I do not experience any of the issues other reviews here claim to be experiencing                 A lifesaver

I used to use bluetooth keyboard to connect my machine and use Screen tool but this allows only Ctrl c combination and the other ctrl combination doesnt work Ex Ctrl a a I think it cant be sured for these things which was wrong between bluetooth keyboard and terminal but at least bluetooth keyboard send right character when I pressed Ctrlc shortcut so it seems the problems was terminal Please fix this Thanks              Ctrl key doesnt act properly

I heavily use ssh every day for hours and I can start using an IPad thanks to this app It was made for me Key pairs all the characters are right there handy for Linux vi goes fine Sadly it cant keep connected when idle more than some minutes this is a drag Would be great that the author finds a workaround Thanks                 Magnificent convenient

I use this app from my iPad and log into various UNIX machines on my home network It is similar to a graphical terminal or xterm window on a UNIX system Like a super putty I like the keys available on the iPad keyboard and the gestures you can use to scroll and move through the displayed text And ssh connection is easy and very robust no matter what machines I log into Have not tried it for Internet connections to the outside Great app                 Great ssh client terminal

This app works very well multiple groups key storage policy settings on passphrase retention port forwarding many many more If you are looking for a decent iPad app for ssh access I can recommend this one One little problem Key forwarding when turned on crashes the app at least it does for me That is however my only complaint              Excellent app
