Collect your thoughts. Vesper is a simple and elegant tool for collecting notes, ideas, things to do anything you want to remember. Use tags to group related items into playlist-like collections. Vesper imposes no system; ...
Vesper is a beautiful app but Id never recommend it Without a Mac app your notes are siloed on your iOS device and even the fantastic typography cant make up for not having access to your notes everywhere           Roger Moore
As the title stated Its not worth buying this app for iPad It is merely a stretched version of the iPhone app I suspect the sales have not been great like other famous indie apps Brent has taken a full time job at a local app shop     Superb iPhone app Mediocre iPad app
This is one classy debonair note taking app The fact they just released the iPad version at no extra charge is awesome                 Sophisticated notes
This app has saved my life It holds my thought dreams and inner machinations Undoubtedly one of the best things Ive ever purchased Though after using this app on a nearly daily basis for the past year there are some very annoying problems If the text youre typing is too long the functionality starts to decline I cant select specific content without the app losing control and seemingly jerk me to to the top or bottom of the page This has forced me to use apples included notes app for longer notes In addition to that problem if a note gets too long the tag feature becomes very glitchy disappearing hidden etc Also adding photos to notes results in the same problems as I described above I would previously highly recommend this app to friends and on social media but am substantially less inclined to do so now Also a sub branchlike organizational layout would be very helpful           My life
A very nicely designed and executed note taking app but 999 for a note taking app No webapp or desktop app to sync with makes this a mobileonly solution Again a nice idea but this feels more like a 299 idea           Nice but
Vesper was removed from the featured list for notetaking apps which speaks for itself Vesper holds potential but it has been that way for too long now        All hype
iPad support is buggy old review No iPad sync so cannot replace Drafts for me Also Drafts kills it in the export area but Vesper has got tags and photo capabilities If it gets an iPad app were in business     iPad support is buggy and almost unusable
New iPad addition is a great upgrade to a phenomenal app Vesper is my go to note taking app for logging thoughts on the go                 Vesper is phenomenal
I was pleasantly surprised to see the status bar disappear in landscape mode to give more vertical space to see all of the notes I dont have an iPad though so I cant comment on that aspect of the new functionality And still no Mac support As such Im only going to give five stars for an app Ill still use every day                 Worst Mac app ever
Crisp clean interface that facilitates note taking and sorting Ive used Vesper since launch day and it has always remained a firstpage home screen app for me Each update just makes it better Support quality software by buying this app                 Simple but powerful Musthave app
this is weak and a joke no support or help sb free another con app by scammers     weak app scam
Been using Vesper since dayone and Im disappointed to say Ive moved on to other notetaking apps My number one compliant is that Vesper seems deaf to all the major workflows available in iOS these days It doesnt support URL schemes and doesnt have its own extensions Whats the point           Opinionated app but maybe too opinionated
I really want this to be my note app but no mac app is a deal breaker I dont just take notes on the go Sometimes I do it at my desk or when I have my laptop with me as I much prefer typing on a full size keyboard Just for reference I use Simplenote on my iPhone and Notational Velocity on my computers with the sync location currently through Simplenote but backed up through DropBox Not tied into any one company sure is nice It would be nice if Vesper were able to play with a mac app then this would be considered for my primary note app           Still beautiful still with limited function
No ability to bulk delete to add italics and bold increasedecrease font size of different words change fonts print add more than one image without a crop Too little for too much           Missing Some Things to Be Five Stars Let Alone This Expensive
There are dinner jackets and dinner jackets this is the latter                 Smart Simple Intuitive
Good concept and well executed Plagued with layout and selection bugs For example trying to select text in a note with an image causes the whole note to jump to the image Adding a tag to a note causes the note to no longer scroll These bugs seriously detract from the experience Even hobbled by these issues theres still enough to be useful Please fix these bugs and Id gladly give a higher rating           Useful but buggy
Beautiful yes useful Not as much Limited No syncing with Evernote or any other app Search is pretty useless too     Regret it
It will be even better with a Mac app                 Very good
Very simple elegant app A lot of people like simple but I am all for more options Like changing font and color This app was very easy to figure out I love it Please continue with updates                 Very Nice
I like making tags on the fly and the app is easy on the eyes but there are too many unprofessional glitches to make this app worth my time It seems Gruber and team are more interested in the idea of software than the actual software They talk about fonts They talk about design They talk about the importance of raising the apps price What they dont do is code a notes app with the basics of editing ironed out Although I am glad that the game of findthecursor is no longer played in Vesper I cant abide text disappearing when I add a tag They do not have solid coding for notes editing which is far more important than sitting around a cafe discussing the essence of an appnot when their app is this terribly glitchy I simply cannot trust it Delete     Elegant Notes Glitchy App
Great app that I use everyday Helps me organize my thoughts and I love the sync capabilities Bonus that it now has iPad support                 Worth every penny
Nice concept with an attractive design but the bugs here are deplorable The app cannot handle emoji copying and pasting them deletes the entire note it becomes glitchy with larger numbers of notes and the iPad version is just a blownup copy of the iPhone apps layout I like that these notes are encrypted unlike notes in Apples default app but Apples Notes app is significantly more stable at the moment        Innovative layout terrible execution
This notes app has a good tagging system great aesthetics and great syncing It has a barebones feature set but thats not a bad thing necessarily While the phone UI is good the iPad user experience would be greatly improved with an iPadspecific interface at least in landscape mode displaying only the list of notes and hiding the tags list is weird looking and a pointless waste of space At least leave the tags list visible in landscape while looking at the notes list The price hike would play a lot better I think if the iPad UI wasnt phoned in           Good iPhone app mediocre iPad app
Elegant simple almost selforganizing I am somewhat disorganized and often freeassociative when it comes to notetaking I have used many different note apps and I am drawn back to this one the most often It has made organizing my busy life infinitely easier Thank you                 Wonderful App
Very well designed and thought out Perfect animations to give the user context of place You can easily take notes and add images And its great at doing just that There are some weird quirks with text entry when theres more than a screen or entering tag section              Great minimal note taking app
Desperately needs 1 Mac version 2 URL Scheme in order for it to be used with other apps like Drafts              Nice interface and design but
Vesper is the picture of what thoughtful well executed app development looks like I love the polish intentionality and dropdead straightforward nature of this app Over many years of using iOS I have frequented the built in notes app Evernote and a wealth of other apps but Vesper is the one that keeps me coming back to use my iPhone and iPad for note taking Give it a try I think youll agree Q Branch Panic and the cadre of other really top notch iOS developers are what give iOS the luster that makes it stand out from other mobile operating systems                 Thoughtful Well Executed App
This is so much better with true iPad support Stretched iPhone apps are the worst However while this is an improvement the app does not take advantage of iPads screen size Now it feels overwhelming to see all my notes and tags Still its better than before           iPad Finally But
Makes no sense Do not waste your money on this one     Awful
Now that the app is finally on iPad it is worth getting I take most notes on an iPad but want them synched to my iPhone Sync works fine and the apps design is fairly good For an app that wants every detail right it is disappointing that it doesnt let ME get the details right If you typo a tag you are unable to fix it Also the font is elegant but the choice of numerals is idiosyncratic and I would much prefer a font that had more conventionally formed numerals to the ability to use Small Caps              Finally
Vesper has worked well for me as a notetaking app but I recently discovered that the tagging feature makes it very effective as a task manager I use special characters to force certain tags to the top of the list and tagging allows me to crossreference various tasks something which was missing in all the other task managers I tried The lack of alerts is actually a good thing in my case it forces me to routinely check my important tasks Im constantly dismissing them with other apps and having demanding alerts pop up always makes me want to rebel against them Overall Vesper has turned out to be a very handy app for my purposes One improvement I would like to see is the ability to create subcategories or some other kind of hierarchy in the tag list I think it would be immensely helpful in keeping the throng of tags organized even at the risk of adding an extra layer of complexity              Also A Dessert Topping
Its ridiculous that this app is touted on tech sites They only thing different between this and the iOS Notes app is the color and tags You should research this app first There is no action extension The new iOS 9 Notes makes this app even more of an overpriced nonsense app     Simple and way over priced
Vesper gets the details right Cant wait to see the Mac app                 Details details details
These guys want to charge a premium for this app but there are very few distinguishing features I read that the price is going up to 999 eventually If you must check it out do it now There are better alternatives out there           You cant just say something is premium
I use Vesper for all my todo lists Its clear and uncluttered and it does what I need I still wish for a way to edit a tag so it gets changed on every item where its used but thats not a huge deal I wouldnt object if there were a link to the App Store for reviews in the credits page                 Elegant app design
Apples Notes app has it              Rich text editing
This is a good notes app Has a very clean look and feel Suggestions make a more intelligent landscape view on iPad and larger 6 phones just rotating the screen will not work Give a list of notes on the left and a note display on the right or something Use the Realestate of the bugger phones and the iPad to really display useful information That said the sync is great and this is a very useful app              Clean nice notes app
The message is clear Like nothing Ive ever known But the more that I hear Forget about longrange plans Cause this mans got his own To get mixed up with a man who says never May be big trouble but then I just could be the woman to take you And make you never say never again                 Never Say Never Again
I am glad for the additional functionality which has been added over time eg landscape mode sync of sorts But no support for printing Still Even Apples Notes bad as it is supports that Vesper is pretty but be sure the app has the feature set you need before you buy           Still not there yet
Every design choice seems intentional The most well thought out note taking app on iOS Well worth the price                 The best
Serious bugs when creating a new tag if youre already in the list for another tag Please add dark mode Please fix the case of vanishing notes Improve the iPad layout Please add a capture extension with tag selection and ability to prepend and append              Im rooting for you
Now that Notes handles images I was anxious to see what Vesper had done to improve on Notes Sadly its terribly worse You may only add one image which is cropped and it only appears at the top of the document Also image selection isnt supported in landscape mode which seems silly This update does seem to fix the earlier problem of not being able to select text with an image in the document which is nice Unfortunately this app remains inferior to Notes in terms of utility Although I do wish Notes had a better cleaner design and wasnt yellow with lines and Vespers is better in that regard I cant favor Vesper over Notes Perhaps after another update        Image handling still inferior to Notes
Upon first opening the app you notice the gorgeous minimalist design ethos However the true brilliance of Vesper begins to shine the moment you start using it Something as simple as adding photos to notes makes one wonder why Apple hasnt added this capability to the native Notes app for over 6 years Being able to tag notes and easily rearrangearchive them is also very useful Vesper is a great app for organizing your thoughts and features an attention to detail that is rarely seen in the App Store today This should ship with iOS 7 UPDATE 8162015 Im removing 4 stars due to the fact that the devs have seemingly stopped updating and supporting this app Its not received an update in over 6 months I recently encountered a problem in which I seemingly lost months of data from multiple notes I was able to resolve said problem myself but in the course of trying to do so I contacted vesper support via both email and Twitter Its been over a week and I never received a response Gruber also failed to respond to multiple tweets although he still heavily promotes Vesper on his site Due to the lack of support I honestly couldnt in good faith recommend this app to anyone     Gorgeous minimalist design ethos
Great                 Great
Vesper is a thing of beauty It does one thing and it does it perfectly The new sync feature is the epitome of good design The entire app feels like a labor of love with an exceptional attention to detail Every screen every typeface choice every animation shows deep thought went into this app and that makes it a joy to use Kudos on the great work I cant wait to see what you do on the Mac                 A truly elegant notes app
Love the iPad version keep up the good work                 Notes Made Simple
This app works perfectly on my iPhone 5S It works not very well on my iPad Air the original one For some reason selecting text on the iPad version of Vesper is a disaster Single word selection works fine but trying to select anything longer than a word and the entire document gets inadvertently selected This happens repeatedly and has rendered any editing on the iPad useless Im now hunting for another notes app when clearly this should have been the one Very frustrating        Poor iPad Air editing
While its nice to finally have Vesper on iPad it feels like blown up iPhone app Lots of wasted space and potential Auto rotate is also very laggy Considering who is behind this app I expected a lot more Maybe in a future update           Great on iPhone disappointing on iPad
While the native iPad support is appreciated the UI is literally a stretched version of the iPhones Excessive line lengths lead to decreased readability As others have mentioned a visible note list even if its optional would better utilize the larger screen and reduce the readability issues that exist now           Great on iPhone UI lacking on iPad
It may not have the bells and whistles of other notetaking apps but it is miles ahead in terms of simplicity and straightforwardness Its a gorgeously designed very fast app                 A really good app
