Using developer tools I see comincludetechverbs failed to launch in time over and over in my logs and tons of crash reports for Verbs when it is running in the background While this is happening my entire phone stops responding to events Cant lock screen home button or touch whichever app Im in           Freezes my phone crashing in the background

Paid 3 bucks it says the server is having an error and my screen is going nuts This is a disgrace Im getting my 3 bucks back immediately Back to stupid Google Hangouts     Seriously

seems to connect but no buddies visible        no longer working

Unable to log in to AIM Credentials are correct but it fails to log in but it keeps trying so you are unable to login with other apps or devices     Not worth it

After many months of zero attention paid to this app I jumped at the chance to try this long awaited update The result on launch Registration Error Are you fraking serious Deleted once again due to developer ineptitude     Epic Fail

Please update it        I miss this app

First of all I love this app I dont think it lets me stay logged in if thats not the case the ui freezing when multitasking makes it feel that way but others have mentioned this as well I would even pay good money for that to be fixed Your only other option for Google on iPhone is IM and Im not really a fan it stays logged in even after you quit out and then you dont realize all your messages are going to your phone instead of ones computer           Stay logged in

I dont know if Verbs developers are planning to readd Facebook support but until they do this application is useless to me This used to be the de facto IM applicationfor those that dont need Facebook chat this update truly might be great If you need Facebook though this isnt the application for you Id really like to use this on my iPad which is totally lacking a Facebook IM application           Lack of Facebook chat makes app useless unfortunately

Guys please dont listen to negative comments This app works like a charm with messenger services For those who has error with credentials please login your google account on PC in the same network then relogin with Verbs This is a normal authentication issue of Google Verbs has a very elegant UI whack kept me using it for years                 Very good app

It looked so good and did what I wanted in the descriptions and in the screenshots In reality though it started crashing when I got the pro version addon simply horrible     Doesnt work

This was a great app but after buying a 5s Im no longer able to restore my Pro upgrade        Cant restore Pro upgrade

Worst ever was looking for an alternative for Beejive but it seems that I will stay with it Plus pay more for push notifications Please guys     Worst

I can only speak to the Google functionality but this app will not stay connected to chat and will not give a clear reason as to why At least once a day I open the app to see Connection Failure errors with no other explanation meaning Ive gone around all day thinking I was available to my coworkers but have actually been offline the whole time Trying to reconnect just gives the same error repeatedly until I restart the app Ive also started receiving duplicate push notifications Annoying but I could live with it if everything else worked        Wont Stay Connected

It continually says my password is incorrect I even changed my password several times and it still will not connect     Cannot connect to AOL

I just wish I had people to talk to on any of these services which are some of the only ones left              It does work

Got the first one seemed decent tried getting pro and now it cant connect to gtalk Tried reinstalling re adding accounts nothing seems to work Dont buy until this gets fixed     Pro version breaks app

Bought this app for 199 thinking that would give me the full version That was not the case In order to receive push notifications I needed to spend 499 to get the pro version Then I realize that group chat doesnt even work and sends me out of the app I downloaded beejive for free and upgraded to pro for 199 It does everything I need including group chat and much cheaper Do not get taken by this scam of an app     I feel tricked

EDIT Im having to drop the rating Push servers are too unreliable right now If the developer works on that its rather expensive Ill change back to 5Star Im leaving a 5star review because although I have had some issues of late but its working absolutely fine recently which leads me to believe its server issues with the app Its by far the app that would look closer to what apple would put out its beautiful and simple yet functional This app is EXCELLENT when its working and I have used it since it was released has support for Droplr or CloudApp support for sharing as well as push notifications I sincerely hope all the bugs are fixed or I may have to change my review And I know a lot of devs complain about bug reports in reviews But I have sent several reports about the slow downs etc with no response So I hope it continues to work           Love this app its the best

I like the design and the straightforward nofrills approach Sadly Verbs has entirely stopped working with Google which was the only reason I used it Additionally it seems to have been basically abandoned in terms of dev and updates Maybe it works great with other servicesymmv     No updates in ages no longer works with Google

Updating review to one star There has been no attempt at improving this product Have the developers abandoned this Previous review Overall I like this design over something like Beejive but Beejive still is better in certain aspects auto correct has completely stopped working there is a bug when seeing an overview of all chats you can only swipe out the center chat view you cannot swipe in a neighboring chat view sometimes when relaunching app after 12 hours it complains my passwords are all wrong yet if I force quit the app and relaunch everything is connected Ive seen push notifications come in very delayed compared to when the come in thru other apps connected to the same service This is a pretty big problem UPDATE This doesnt happen but now I get duplicate push notifications Also annoying but not as bad I guess The message text field is blurry The frame is off by a half pixel     Nice design sorta No updates bad

Verbs is a frustrating app Not because its difficult to use its actually quite simple to get set up It works basically like a fusion of the native Mail and Messages app Everything is designed minimally and tastefully In short it feels like a stock iOS app for IM I was actually really excited to see an update for Verbs come out it was one of my favorites on my lowres iPads The disappointment came when I saw that Facebook chat had been removed Im sorry but if your beautiful chat program cant connect to one of the most popular and therefor useful chat services then it is effectively worthless to me Hopefully yall add support back or at least allow us to input the server settings we need to to make FB work via Jabber so I can give you the five star rating I know you deserve        Good Design Ruined by Lack of Features

Paid my 6 Push notifications quit working a few weeks ago Useless app     No longer works

Its pretty but it just doesnt work very well and it hasnt for a long time Having dealt with the same bugs for so long with no response from the developer I dont think it will get any better Nothing is improving after more than a year that Ive been using it It hasnt been updated in more than a year now and it doesnt even connect anymore For Apple to keep selling it is fraud plain and simple Do not buy this app     Nice design poor function

If youre looking for a chat app you can stop here This is it The first version was the best chat app on the store if it had the features you needed and this looks like a repeat performance                 Back on Top

Updated review its working again after several weeks of the Verbs push servers being down more than theyve been up This is hands down the best app for Google Talk IM Great interface and I personally love the CloudApp integration The downside is that since Feb 2013 or so the servers the developer uses to support push have had far too much downtime The last outage was literally weeks long If they get reliability back to where it should be this is a five star review           Best for Google Talk IM but too much downtime

Just installed it Crashes immediately if you deny it access to your Contacts I dont want to have to compromise my privacy just to get the app working     Slick but buggy

Facebook has official instructions on how to connect to Jabber for chat No matter how many times I tried for Verbs wouldnt connect Frustrated        Incompatibility with Facebook Chat

I used BeeJive for 1 year prior to downloading Verbs The Verbs interface is definitely cleaner more appealing and more intuitive The connectivity for me has been flawless The speed of the push notifications has been lightning fast Battery performance is excellent The app has never crashed for me Finally I will say to the developer thank you great job and keep up the great work                 Better than BeeJive Verbs is best IM client now

This app simply doesnt work anymore It stopped a long time ago It wouldnt verify my inapp purchase Today I see the new version is available I downloaded it and its still the older one Someone at Verbs took the best app on my phone and made it one I cant stand     Wrong App

I used Verbs for a bit before Google had an official TalkHangouts app Frequent disconnects and lost messages made me jump to the real one when it came out Upon seeing that Verbs received an iOS 7 redesign that looks better than Googles app I tried it again In the span of two days Ive missed 5 messages had two disconnects and received a registration error While these may be related to Googles recent switch to Hangouts and thus not solely the developers fault the situation is the same the official Hangouts app continues to be the only way to reliably use the service     Google Talk problems persist

Verbs is way too much about looks and not enough about usability Its simple sure but not elegantly simple I was hoping the 30 upgrade would finally fix this app but its even worse now It has a ton of connection errors and the touch gestures are frustratingly inconsistent I dont quit on apps very easily but Im tired of waiting for this app to live up to its promise Dont buy this     Still a disappointment
