Travel Channel Layover Guide with Anthony Bourdain

I downloaded after seeing a commercial for it on the Travel Channel thinking this will be great for pulling up all the interesting spots they feature on the TC next time I travel Unfortunately after testing it in my hometown of New Orleans I can say it is positively USELESS They showed virtually NO places in my MidCity neighborhood which is rife with eating drinking places as well as many other things to do Based on this I would not trust it to help me in other cities I would give it NO stars if I could Ridiculous     Useless

It has VERY limited cities and suggestions Texas only has 1 city listed This was just sad     No good

I wish I wouldnt have wasted my time     Garbage

This app would be useful if it actually worked on my phone but alas it doesnt so its worthless     Doesnt work on iPhone 4

This is a travel city guide and TV channel application all rolled into one The design is simple and easy to use with a drop down menu that offers a listing of all available cities Users can use the app to download guides for 24 of the most popular and important cities in the world ranging from New York to London The guides themselves while not overall comprehensive gives you a list of places to visit including what to eat where to visit and even directions on what major transit to use to get to that city in the first place The guides also contain short clips from the Travel Channel in that particular city Users can easily add places to their itentiary to visit or keep in mind for the future              Travel Channel Cities

Just moved to Phoenix and wanted some tips Please add more cities to include Phoenix     Too few cities

Wish I didnt update This eliminates all the videos and cool extras of the PAID layover app Highly disappointed This should have been an independent app Not an upgrade     They ruined my layover app

I liked the previous design but this one is so much better Glad they added more cities and some new locations It doesnt have all the popular places in my city but there are definitely new places I havent gone to yet that I would check out as well as a couple new cities Im planning on going to Relieved all of my Bourdain favorites are still there but Im also a fan of Andrew Zimmern so his suggestions and videos are an interesting addition                 Great update

Wow This is the perfect app to plan an entire vacation Great idea to allow the user to create their own routes And what a great tool to use to research major destinations                 Perfect travel companion

Tip for confused users pick a city like Seattle set the Type list to All Types set the Show list to The Layover with Anthony Bourdain see the 33 places he recommended in Seattle during that show All there Thank you All the Bourdain recommendations his picks in Boston and Austin suggestions from Zimmern Richman etc Beautiful UI fun to browse and dream of my next trip PS Read the description before you download lists all the cities that are included                 Excellent upgrade love it

I loaded this app because I was going in a few days When I looked at things to do and places to eat there was about ten places to go Did LV fall off into the ocean Think Ill wait on this app to get up to speed        I thought Las Vegas was bigger

This is a wonderful App So fantastic to see all these places I use to live visit travel to If you cant be there this is definitely the second best thing I love the Travel Channel love the people who perform and show us the world which because of television movies and these apps make it a much smaller but more accessible place Thank you so much for these apps Also thank you so much for using Face Book and not pushing that other one down our throats like so many other channels are now trying to do Its making many viewers stop watching and using many media items Again try this app before you pass judgement based on the few critics Every app will have some glitches to work out and it takes time to perfect a Picasso                 Retired Military World Traveler

If youre looking for places to eat its decent Itll give you a decent list wont show you much info besides what one of their food oriented hosts will say Thats also a might because some places didnt have anything Doesnt have many cities just very popular ones so better try triposo instead The only good thing is the interface of this app The worst was the things to do it had under ten places for San Francisco and they all were places not worth any of your time        Useless

Gorgeous new design and fresh new content People who are complaining that it deleted Bourdains old information should really look closer and see that its all still there just in a better format Cant wait to see what else gets added along the way                 Beautiful Upgrade

Missing Phoenix     Useless Doesnt have Phoenix

You cant take back an app I bought last year and give me something else I baught this app because of Anthony Bourdain not The Travel Channel Food App Give me back my app     This is not the App I purchased

I love the type of app its very useful but the problem is that it has very little information I was excited to see travel channel had added an app and found myself upset To make it a good app you must add more diversity for restaurants and places to go        Very little information

I can not find Delete All button as the FAQ suggested I have 90 MB cache and I can not find where I can delete it When I was trying to send feedback inside the App it always fails by telling me There was a problem           Cache

I live in az and they didnt have anything about my state I want to go to California soon and they only have San Francisco and LA I am deleting this useless app now and will just have to do the tourist thing Worst part is before I downloaded it I read all the reviews and Still waisted my time people are happy about them adding new cities I cant believe you held on or this long I mean when u downloaded it there must have been like five cities on this app     Too few cities

I didnt pay for this horrible app I paid for the Anthony Bourdain app PAID for it Either refund my money or allow me to redownload the App I paid for Amateur hour and sketchy practice Did you think no one would notice or just didnt care Awaiting a response     Bait and switch refund my money

I just downloaded the new update which indicated it added Honolulu as a new city but the only city available starting with an H is Hong Kong Seems broken already           Honolulu Not added as indicated

Ive an excellent uninterrupted internet connection Tried several times to download city data to use it off line but failed Though i liked the interface but this failure makes this apps useless for me     Cannt download city data to use it offline

Without any warning this socalled update actually erases all of the old layover information from bourdain I dont know what the other reviewer was thinking when they said it did not It does What is perhaps worse for instance in regard to Seattle it includes 30 Other places he did not visit and only retained two Dont get me wrong if the travel Channel wants to have a city by city app then good for it But to call this an update when it is nothing of the sort is a fraud Travel Channel has plenty of smart people They full well knew what they were doing They want to debt and bourdain And we direct you to their poor product Again if they want their own app that is fine but we are not so stupid as to not seethrough what the app does So travel Channel I deleted it entirely and now I have nothing from the travel Channel and left you a bad review Before had one travel Channel app that I liked and we have reviewed well So how is that brand building going     Deletes Bourdains Information

I was expecting so much more from this app being from the travel channel and all It sadly fell short They really dont offer many many cities to choose from considering all the awesome places Ive seen on the travel channel I deleted it just as fast as I downloaded it     So limited

Downloaded eagerly only to find out there were just 10 cities to choose from Well the city that I wanted Tokyo was not among them Deleted the app from my iPhone posthaste     Limited city selection

The new design update is just the refresh this app needed I love all of the new locations and photos Adding in info from other shows makes the app even more useful Cities has clean design and is very informative I can tell I am going to use this frequently                 Great update

I downloaded this thinking I would get information on cities to travel to in the US What I got is an app that doesnt open crashes my ipad and never actually gets to a point where you can use the information Good call Travel Channel Youre better off going to you neighborhood used book store and getting a guide book     Silly app
