As a freelance web designer I use this app mainly to download HTML files from Dropbox edit them quickly on the go and then upload them back Works perfectly and well worth the money Perks include syntax highlighting multiple color schemes multiple fontssizes auto tag completion Additionally the developers have demonstrated that theyre willing to stay on top of user concerns and quickly solve any bugs or problems that arise Closest thing to Sublime Text for iOS

I think its a pretty slick app and probably the best code editor out currently BUT anyone who is a real dev needs to be able to pull code from git repos No one uses drop box iCloud or google drive infrastructure for real development Who does that Plus the google drive feature didnt even work for me No git is a deal breaker for me Want my paper back Weak

I have tried to do web page and software development on iOS for several years when I had a spare moment and was mobile None of the apps I experimented with were a practical or easy solution for effectively working on code testing ideas in jquery or css while mobile or relaxing on the sofa as this app I dont usually give anything five stars unless it somehow changed my life Changed the way I work

At first I was a little hesitant to purchase the app due to its high price however I decided to take the leap of faith It was totally worth it Since downloading the app my productivity has skyrocketed and I have started to completely redesign my wordpress site so I could edit it solely from textastic Great value for the money however I have some suggestions 1 Improve the code completion so that it sorts by most recently used 2 Maybe lower the cost a little Great app overall highly recommended Excellent app

Does iCloud sync across devices As in between Textastic for iPad iPhone and Mac If not then it should If it does then mine is not working Ive tried troubleshooting different ways and no luck My Textastic documents exist in silos for me at the moment Also custom fonts would be great I have a few monospaced fonts designed for coding that Ive installed on my iOS 8 devices and it would be great to bring this feature that exists on the Mac to iOS Good but could be better

I purchased this very expensive app hoping I would be able to download files from Dropbox It doesnt work Every checked item should offer a download option but it is greyed out I did not pay for a broken app Dropbox is broken FIX THIS

This past summer I started using Textastic on my iPad because I needed a code editor and I didnt want to take my computer everywhere with me Its one of my most used apps and I love how it lets me get work done without having to bring my computer with me all the time When I got an iPhone 6 Plus I got the iPhone version of Textastic Im really glad that it has been optimised for the screen of my phone because it allows me to leave my iPad at home With a USB keyboard connected to my phone I can be productive without bringing either my Mac or my iPad with me Its really great for my back and it saves my other devices for other things Lovely

Worth the money It has what you need to write code that you dont want to forget on the go It doesnt look as pretty as Buffer but buffer doesnt have a preview like this one does I wish Python syntax and PHP was able to be compiled and properly run to test however for HTML and JavaScript this is fully functional Best Overall Text Editor

The dropbox integration is extremely buggy If you need WebDAV or FTP then this might be a great tool However for those of us living in 2015 best to keep your money and not purchase this awful app Doesnt work with Dropbox Waste of money
