I added my classes and students and tried it out It seems to work well but I could suggest a few improvements 1 Auto cap the first letter of each word when entering names it will cap the first letter of the first name but not the last name 2 Make a way to edit the spelling of the names apart from deleting and readding 3 Would be nice to link names to pictures on the phone perhaps easier after the next IOS release 4 I thought 299 was a little steep for such a simple app Nice first effort Id like to see more classroom tools like this for teachers Good for a first release

Why is there no version for the iPad when I search for it on an iPad Great app but

I am no longer rushing to get back to where I left the cards or sticks My iTouch lives in my pocket and the students love when I pull it out and give it a shake Worth every penny Excellent

This is the best teacher app Ive found My students love it Possible upgrades Id love to see option to not call on same person participation points if student answers question import names from word or excel sound effects for right or wrong answer malefemale option and option for all male or female or mixed groups saving groups for future reference Just some ideas I really do love the app Show it off to jealous teachers all the time Nice app

I admit that its easy to fall into a rut as a teacher I know I did I let the same students answer my questions every day This app changed everything All students have to be alert ready at all times Even my little sleepyheads answer now Great App

I was so excited about this app and what it could do for my teaching But this app could be SOOOO much better In addition to the suggestions made by other reviewers Id like to be able to use the app to indicate whether or not the student answered the question correctly Id also like to be able to track this over time so that I could assign a student a grade or determine a useful intervention based on the data Two stars for the idea and execution but I feel it is overpriced in its current state Im looking forward to and really hoping for some major updates in the near future So much potential but

Bought this app after magic hat broke due to OSX 6 upgrade Its totally awesome for random groups But for random students its not so great because it recycles names before all names have been used Ive used it and had the same students name pop up three times in a row I tried to change the settings to avoid this but there doesnt appear to an option to keep names out until all names have been used Also user interface is super plain if you dont add a picture Would have been 5 of 5 if not for these issues Good for groups Recycles names

I love this app and use it all the time to randomly select students and to pair up and group students painlessly and quickly Get this app Love this app

Used this last year and like it very much for random name calling This year when trying to enter my class names I am unable to edit or delete students when I mistyped a name App freezes up and I have to delete the whole class to begin again I was even going to pay for it if I needed to because I used it so much last year Now Ill go back to sticks Too bad there is an unmet need for this Not working this year

This is a very useful app I use it at least once a week in my 8th grade classroom It would be even better if it allowed you to save or email the groups I would also like to be able to edit the groups Nice up date as well Being able to turn the student off is helpful Update I just up graded my iPod It would be great if I could transfer my class over or import from csv or wordetc Still love the app but hate typing on the iPod Very useful
