Teach Me Sushi

This app is simply the best cooking app on the app store This app may take quite a while to download but it is absolutely worth the wait I love this app it tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about cooking sushi and it has everything you need to make a successful sushi dish It has AMAZING video tutorials a easy to follow ingredients list with pictures it will even tell you where your nearest supermarket is where you can get all of your ingredients and to top it all of it even has a rice timer to tell you when your rice will be cooked I was a complete beginner to making sushi and I have made several different exciting sushi dishes by just following the tutorials on this app Absolutely outstanding                 Worth the wait

Its an OK app with some useful material But download is HUGE the only other download like this Ive seen was from a gps app that included maps All things considered not sure Id pay 499 for it Maybe 99           Ok app

Love the updated content The pictures are awesome and I cant wait to try the new recipes I already have my eye on making a philadelphia roll my alltime favorite sushi roll Keep the new additions coming And as always I love Jake So much fun to cook along with in my kitchen Thanks                 Well done

This app totally rocks I saw the high reviews and was still blown away I totally recommend this app to anyone who is interested in learning how to make their own sushi or to learn what sushi is all about The videos are high quality and entertaining                 Exceeded my high expectations

Hey guys Ive never left a review before but this app deserves it For the price of one roll you really get to see an art in action Jake does a great job of explaining all the diff styles and even a new type of sushi I havent seen before called a fashion sandwich If youre really serious about learning how to make good sushi learn from Jake AND i had a couple of questions about eel and spicy mayo and he gave me great practical advicesolutions BUY THIS APP                 Download This if you love sushi

I tried to make sushi before but it came awfull so I got this app and now everything is coming out amazing It starts with my rice that before I had no clue how to cook and now I do then it shows you how to cut and prepare fish then it shows you the recipes and before all I could make was a bad California roll and slimy nigiri now thanks to teach me sushi I can make all different forms of sushi even kinda you havent heard of Definitely worth it Awesome and Jake really keeps your attention And shows you little things that you could miss otherwise that could make a big difference in the final product thank you                 Amazing

This app did what it said to do Sushi came perfect the rice was perfect and averything else                 Great

Its a handy app but he is not properly informative about the fish and it seems like steps were skipped My first impressions were of sloppy sushi making What about sauces More recipes Japanese sushi ingredients Feels like Americanized sushi making to me           Not worth 5

It could use some more rolls but Im sur that will come in an update so other then that this is a fantastic app                 Great app

I love the new update The original apps step by step pics werent great and this update has added clear brilliantly taken pics that really show you how to make the different pieces of sushi I also love the new rolls i sent an email to Jake when the first app came out asking if he would show us how to make Kazari sushi and he included this recipe in the update I cant wait for more recipes to be added                 LOVE the update

Its an okay app I guess The directions are good but there arent many choices to what type of sushi to make Im a sushi lover and I really want to learn Update please Itll be great to have more choices Thanks        Ehhh

Making sushi at home always sounded difficult and like a lot of work until this app Its so much fun We downloaded the app for a small dinner party and everyone had a great time making up their own combos and whatnot Things got a little creative after we broke out the sake Forget make your own pizza night make you own sushi night is where its at ALso making your own sushi is also a lot less expensive than going out to a restaurant You can get high quality fresh ingredients the app even tells you where to shopat great prices so you know youre in for a healthy and costeffective treat                 Too Much Fun

Was initially happy with this app did exactly what it says But since the last update came out the app continually tries to download and install the update wirhout success rendering the app nonfuntional Id like a solution for this or redund if that is not possible     Fails to update

This app is executed perfectly The video quality is excellent the lighting is good and the teacher is excellent I was never a big sushi guy but Ive just recently gotten into it Loving that this app shows me exactly what I need to make sushi at home                 Highly recommended

This app is awesome It hasnt yet a class about how to cut the fish that goes inside the roll waiting for that on next update So I requested that via the feedback button on the app and Jake the sushiman from the app just answered explaining me how to cut it It makes everything about sushi very simple Those guys are teaching sushi for real Totally recommend it if you want to make some sushi at home                 Amazing app

Hi Jake Thank you so much Jake Im 12 years old and provided my family with 60 pieces of sushi for dinner We lost power in our house just as the rice finished cooking so it was easy to have sushi because it required no further cooking My dad is South African and I have been there several times My grandma lives there Thank you so much and it was a pleasure learning from you                 Best app ever

Great app and good way to learn how to make sushi Jake keeps things simple and teaches you all of the basics in making various rolls It does take a little bit of time to download from the app store I think due to the large videos but this means that theyre quick and easy to load up so dont stress if it takes a bit of time                 Great app love it

So after I buy the app I have to buy the recipes Not worth buying if u have to pay for recipes after Dont get it its a waste of money        Rip off

How do you go from charging 499 to 199 on less than a week Never again     Rip off

The first time I tried to make sushi I didnt have this app had no idea what I was doing and none of it came out right We ended up eating it with forks from a big pile But after getting this app and watching just a few of the videos I was able to make it perfectly on the first roll Although it did take a while to download I recommend loading it onto your computer then to your phone this app was well worth the 499 and the wait Thanks so much Cant wait to see what happens with the next update                 Totally worth it

Great app easy to follow instructions and videos made some sushi after watching all the videos Turned out just as good as you would find at a sushi bar My friends were impressed                 Awesome app

It would be nice if they added recipes for spicy mayo or any other sauces that are common in sushi restaurants besides soy sauce                 Sauce

I am an actual sushi chef and I got this app because I was curious However I am very disappointed This guy is not teaching people how to do things correctly he skips over important steps and if you follow his instructions you will get chewy fish that will probably make you sick If you follow his instructions you will get chewystringy fish because he does not slice the fish properly he cuts parallel to the lines as opposed to perpendicular You will also get sick because you have to cure fresh water fish such as salmon before it is safe to eat and he does not explain that at all He is also using unseasoned rice vinegar for the rice which would taste bad Also he uses warm water as his hand water as opposed to ice water or iced seasoned rice vinegar which is a breeding ground for bacteria I hate to leave such a poor review but I felt that people should know the facts before they give themselves or their friends food poisoning     Poor Instructions

Considering the overall cost making sushi a 5 one time guide isnt so bad Its a wonderful help                 Bit spendy but very nice

I took a sushi class some years ago and while informative Ive forgotten a lot This brought it all back and then some The rice has always been the hardest part for me No more Would give 10 stars if I could                 Where were you 5 years ago

Glad to see they came out with a new Expert version but it would be nice if they would offer the FAQ video to those who already purchased this version Other than that this is a good sushi making app           Good but could be better

As promised multitasking is now available in the app Awesome Make calls or send texts while the rice timer is counting down The new fish cutting lesson is awesome This is one of the best apps Ive bought Highly recommended                 Amazing

Absolute waste of time     Dont buy

I would like a couple lessons on some cooked items added to the beginners app Raw food handling should be done with greater experience folks especially fish Imitation crab shrimp more veggies spring rolls or California rolls would be a good blend for a beginner Also I wish I could take advantage of some in home classes but I dont live in New Yorkoh well Otherwise this is a pretty good app along with video instructions which I finally found by hitting the home key twice           Seems great if you live in New York

This app is ok at best It has a limited sushi selections to pick from It cost 500 and no new rolls are added If you want new ones you need to buy the advanced version for another 500     Not happy

I got this app yesterday for free and I must say its not worth the tremendous amount of space it uses The teacher does not do a great work preparing the suhis an his chopping technique is sloppy risking his fingers constantly and his cuts arent that neat either Finally the fashion sandwich is a disgrace to sushi     Not even for Free

There just does not seem to be any real logic behind my thinking that making sushi was just not something you could do at home Never the less it just did not seem possible Teach Me Sushi broke things down into a truly enjoyable learning experience and made making one of my favorite food fares at home a reality I want to impress my friends with some homemade rolls before I let them in on this fantastic app that will teach them to do the same Jake was informative and fun to follow along with I highly recommend this App to anyone that likes to eat sushi                 Never Considered This Being Possible
