Last year I could see the edit window when correcting speech Editing the line of words was easy Now the window disappears and I have know idea what I am doing or where the curser is I am using a mini pad My friends iPad works fine Do not buy if you have a mini pad     Lost window

This app is amazing so is the mobile one SayHi Makes my job much easier at the hospital and physicians office Especially when your patients speak mostly other languages and the interpreters dont come 80 of the time                 Excellent Tool

This app is unbelievably utilitarian Definitely more appropriate for an iPad than even the original SayHi Translate                 Freaking awesome

Its an app that I think should be part of an essentials toolkit as you could roughly communicate with anyone no matter what language they speak I say roughly because with languages farther away from English like Korean which was my test with a bilingual friend it can translate single words but cant do the grammar correctly In a longer sentence he basically said it didnt make sense except for the thank you at the end That being said even being able to do single words at a time would still get you through most situations Therefore I still think it rates 4 stars              Good but not yet a Star Trek Universal Translator

Much much much better than google translate I use it to practicetest my pronunciation of French                 Excellent translator

I am spending a year in Brazil studying Portuguese and this TableTop Translator has become indispensible in my learning this new language and studies I am giving it a five star and would highly recommend it to others                 Extremely useful app Highly recommended

Yay its fixed Audible for Mandarin now works AND more languages have been added Bumping rating back up to 5 stars Spoken Mandarin still not fixed What happened whats taking so long Mandarin is THE most spoken language in the world at 1444 of the worlds population according to the CIAs World Factbook Spanish and English trail at 485 and 483 respectively AND Chinas economy is only second to the US and will soon be 1 Like it or not the world has to do more and more business with China Mandarin should be a priority No spoken Mandarin is an EPIC FAIL The app works great but the audible for Mandarin Chinese stopped working months ago What happened and why so long for a fix Audible is also not available for many of the SE Asian languages and Hindi With the exponentially exploding economies in those areas one would think these languages would be high priority                 When will Chinese audible be fixed

This is the best translation app for Thai that I have ever come across The ability to swap languages and users in real time is amazing I rarely rate apps but this one is special                 Top rate app

One of the best translator applications written Unfortunately you have to be within WiFi range which is sometimes difficult with an iPad however with WiFi you can translate easily and accurately from English to a wide range of languages The fact that it is spoken makes it even better because in many foreign countries not every one can read Will definitely purchase the offline version if it ever becomes available                 Excellent

Have tried to update It goes in a loop of upgrading and not having an updated ios We HAVE the most recent update it will not operate at all other than to say a more recent update is needed For days We have paid for this ap TWICE Please fix this bug        Cant upgrade

After giving this a few test runs with friends that speak different languagesthey say its pretty accurate Im ready to try this with some clients that have difficulty speaking English I looking forward to testing this even further by way of conversations                 Pretty cool

Amazing app However one thing is crucially missing Please add more interactivity to the less popular languages that are designated BETA like Hebrew Hindi and numerous others Some of them you cannot hear how to pronounce the language no voice or you cant speak directly to translate but you can only write Please upgrade Thank you I use 5 languages and really need this              Great app

I havent fully tested the vocabulary of this App but so far it has done well with standard and colloquial phrases in several languages even less common ones like Polish The finest thing about this App though is the fact that it reads and hears speaks and writes That means you and your counterpart can communicate albeit slowly naturally And it doesnt matter how you learned or learn your languages or if you can spell or not For checking vocabulary while watching TV while conversing casually or when trying to figure out what the heck that thing theyve just said means this App is a great help The interface is usable and its great that you can flip around half for your counterpart There may be ways to tweak the UI but so far it works And it works pretty darn well                 see and hear what you say

What would make this amazing is an offline cache Without that you are forced into finding data connections which are often hardest to find and find reliable in the areas and countries you need this app the most Im in Thailand now if Im on the street with my wifi iPad and trying to get some information this app is useless That said when you get the prerequisites handled this is a good app for finding some communication level For what it is it gets the point across and is fun to use with others Biggest gripe on the iPad version is this silly subscription service and all the levels of premium The iphone version works basically the same and you have simple access to what you bought I may only need this app once in a blue moon why should I bother to maintain a subscription for a translation application Are words and languages changing that rapidly that Say Hi Inc needs an office full of people updating their dictionary 247 Anyway the iphone version works just as well buy that and scale up to an ipad Good app could be awesome with less BS           Just get Say Hi

This is simply an outstanding piece of technology that has practical uses I have some Chinese relatives and we can finally communicate and explain Well worth it                 Technology for the masses

I speak both English and Vietnamese I got this as a secondary way for my daughter to learn Vietnamese I decided to say phrases in both languages Im sorely disappointed how terrible the translations are It says things I didnt even say Sometimes it made absolutely no sense Its more accurate from English to Vietnamese than he other around     Very disappointed
