5 stars First off this game is worth every penny and TONS of fun I love the combat play forming the soundtrack is amazing You will get plenty of playtime and it s worth every penny Life Changing I must say this game blows Goblin Sword out of the water in terms of gameplay and controls play forming rewarding difficulty atmosphere etc Also I love the side missions they re very fun and a great distraction from the campaign PLEASE make a Sword of Xolan 2 It would be great to see different equipment in the second one Don t pass this game up it ll be one you won t forget                     LIFE CHANGING Worth every penny MalekPerspective

The cards or upgrades you can get are dumb like they help you once they should make upgrades that are good like stronger swords some enemies can be one shot and once you get all the cards the money becomes useless so that was a waste of my time             Good game stupid bonuses CaptainZiggy

Seems to common for some pixel platformers like these to have an issue with jump locking It s when you re trying to jump while moving left or right but instead jump straight up I believe Goblin Sword had this issue too Not as bad as here             Good game ruined by jump lock Dax552

This is a fast paced platform game with a simple concept My only request would be a little more depth to the game although I still gave five stars because I don t think they are going for depth It s a simple repeated concept for each stage throughout the game find 3 caged prisoners and a chest rinse and repeat That said I found myself addicted and ready for the next stage knowing I m about to do the exact same thing If this game had just a few more RPG elements it would IMO be perfect The only thing it currently has is a random card system which gives you shallow boosts I d like to see a character building system additional weapons and adjustable difficulty a little too easy I m not talking go Baldur s Gate with it just a little something to give some depth to an already great game that is a little shallow                     Solid platformer w great controls The Real Godly

Currently it s my most visited game app Each level is designed with platforms to jump to caged villagers to unlock and a treasure chest of gold Sometimes they re hidden behind a secret passage Sometimes they re blocked by dumb enemies The enemies aren t exactly terrifying That s okay They do add a touch of challenge but don t keep the game from being impossible to progress If you lose all your hearts you have to start over from the beginning of the level It doesn t blow my mind but it s so simple and easy to pick up and play a level that it s easy to recommend It s actually pretty fun too if you re into this type of retro platformer                 Really solid action platformer DeriBer

Altogether an awesome retro game that doesn t disappoint A few things really annoy me though Music the music is great but it s too good It should be chip tunes but it sounds like real instrumentation It really takes away from the atmosphere to me because it doesn t have a retro feel If there was an update I would pay for it would be a midi version of the music Voices again not bad but completely unnecessary and detract from the classic feel Please add an option to turn it off Anyway I should add that the MFi controller support is awesome Powershell works great Amazing game overall                 Great gameplay some minor issues tjader416

This is definitely one of the best platformer games I ve played on my phone As others have said it is reminiscent of Goblin Sword but I think it s much more unique The voiceovers the music the spells and rescues all very unique aspects of Xolan As for controls I have a 5S and I m 6 1 so my hands are pretty big but I think the controls are pretty tight Occasional jump glitches but nothing worth complaining about The music is catchy as hell I find myself whistling the tunes when I m not playing But I m also a huge sucker for beepboops The cards are a great touch Saw some complaints about their effects not being worth it which I completely disagree with If you re grinding the first few levels just to get all the cards then you re an idiot I think they were designed to buy as you play through the adventure modes and challenges For me I ve been playing through adventure and periodically checking challenges to see if I can play a new one Neither game mode requires much replaying a possible downside but it s more fun to collect as you go I m halfway through the final act and I have one card left which I m sure I ll be able to afford before I finish the game It all played out perfectly honestly Reviewers should stop comparing this to Goblin Sword because it s not It s a great title in its own right and deserves credit Props to the dev for a solid game If you have 2 just get them both Thank you dev Hope to see more of your work soon whether in an update a sequel to Xolan or another platformer title for iOS                     Excellent Unique Platformer eightbitpizza
