This devise would work in detecting a listening devise if it was made out of metal but it will also pick up anything else metal The app went off when I placed it against the vents on the ceiling When I took it off there was nothing there but it kept going off on the vent I then tested it on a hammer and it went off again So you wouldn t be able to tell if there was a listening devise camera in something metal unless you took it apart     Detects metals The slapahoe tribe
