SpeedText HD is a document writting application for handwriting input. Experience the smooth handwriting notes taking on your iPad. Write using your finger on the input area and the content will be automatically written to a page ...
This is the fourth handwriting recognition app I tried It is the best easily Very smooth and responsive when I use a stylus Very fast You can adjust the settings in accordance with your writing speed This app is very intuitive in that you will learn it quickly without much training or reading I was very skeptical until I tried it for a day I am using it every day I need to write notes You will never misplace notes again as you can easily email your work product as a PDF or jpeg file Awesome I look forward to future versions and upgrades                 Incredible app
It is awful to know that there are a lot of iPad app that are not even up to par on note taking Finally I found this app that automatically format the handwritten notes so they fit corre tly on each line                 Finally an app that works
I like to have something by my phone at work to take call notes This app is pretty easy to do that with The only problem I have is lack of instructions There arent many options but some are self explanatory and others arent Id like to see a spacebar feature and the ability to do sone freehand drawing such as going back to circle or highlight parts              Great for notes
I already test the same app but this app help you to continues writing I would ask to support the write to left writing Thanks                 Very usefull
This app seems to work pretty good The only thing I think it lacks is the ability to have more options for the size of spacing in lines or size of the handwriting other than that it is a great app especially since it was offered for free for one day                 Great app
This app has allowed me to get rid of my pen and paper when taking notes on sales calls The integration with Evernote works well Im on my way to going paperless                 Finally ditched my notepad
Wow Writing with pen and paper with the ability to undo and not worry about losing or storing the paper Way cool No other app recreates as well the ability of handwriting a note with pen and paper on my 700 ipad with a 17 stylus Can I give this app ten stars out of five The more I play with it the more I love it First off the ink flow is incredibly smooth It looks better in person than the screen shot in the ad here would suggest Whats shown in the screenshot are different thicknesses of pens so the inconsistency there was intentional Its a great note taking app I enter text in an input area and depending on my preference the text will automatically resize and place itself on the page or wait until I manually send it to the page The text entry and placement is fast fast enough that I will be able to keep up at meetings When I add checkmarks to create lists it pulls up list items in a side bar I can add a variety of icons to my documents These icons serve as tags that I can then search my documents by Brilliant The app even reorders lists when I make changes It doesnt take much practice for me to improve my ability to write on this because the app is built so well to mimic the experience of pen and paper Entering text reminds me in a good way of elementary school The app syncs beautifully with Evernote One quirk I hope is fixed soon My notes show in up Evernote just as if I had a perfect scan of ink on paper But if I email the same note directly from the app the notes width is shrunk Adding an option for the height of the text input section to be half as high as the low option would be great for use with writing with a stylus The higher options included accommodate well writing with a finger An option to hide the rule of the paper not the input area would be great too I hesitate to even ask because one of the best things about this app is that it isnt over cluttered but if it also added the ability to convert handwriting to text and sync with Dropbox as WritePad does but not at the expense of just being able to handwrite a note and if it would have a bookshelf interface as Noteshelf does and allow for tagging notes it would be the ultimate notetakers dream Syncing with Catchcom directly wouldnt hurt either One minor request Please change the duplitate command to duplicate                 great app
Quite nice Ill have to find where I put those stylii I never used Of course would love LOVE to have handwriting recognition like we had 14 years ago on the Palm But this is still a nice useful tool              Useful
This is the beginning of a great tool addon for Evernote with a beautiful clean interface but there is no help and no user docs which leaves a whole lot of confusion This is why I gave it only 3 stars instead of the 5 it could potentially earn After playing with various configurations of the Wrist Protect and Continuing Write settings it is still not apparent what benefits these settings bring to the app The Lock Button is equally mystifying Yes it locks the writing inside the input area until I disable the button but why I can see no useful reason for doing this other than maybe drawing something complex in the input area The point here is that the user shouldnt have to guess at functionality it should be documented if it is not completely intuitive and apparent Equally baffling is why the list view works the way it does I entered a note the day before yesterday and then entered another note yesterday Then I entered 2 more notes today But instead of showing me all 4 of the notes Ive entered it shows me only 3 the two for the previous days and the last note I entered today If I want to see the first note for today I select the last note for today from the list view and then click the Notes button to go to notes view Once in the notes view it shows me both notes for today but none of the notes for previous days If I select todays first note in the notes view then in list view it shows me only that note and none of the other 3 notes WTF Whats The Functionality And then theres the three icons at the bottom of the list view panel labelled IconTagA IconTagB and IconTagC Am I supposed to be able to customize those icons with real tag names instead of what appear to be placeholders If so I can find no user interface to let me do that Without any type of online help or user guide document Im simply left asking whether what Im seeing are features or bugs For an app priced the same as iMovie I expect the same level of quality as iMovie or at least a help file           Promising But Needs HelpDocs
Having tried a few other apps like this Ive been very happy so far with SpeedText HD I will be using my iPad for business meetings and general note taking during work and I love how easy it is to enter text especially with a stylus I can organize the notes by topic like Penultimate and it has the wrist protection which others lack Because of the Pad you use to enter text the wrist protection isnt as big a deal because its already easy to write A feature that I intend to use a lot is the ability to sync with Evernote I use that program for taking notes on specific offices and cities I work with and in I tag my notes so I can go back and sort by office or city With SpeedText I can sync my notes to Evernote and tag them for whatever office Im in and the specific city This will help my overall organization of notes and keep a great record of what I have done in a specific city or with a specific office              So Far So Good
I have only used one other handwriting application before this one but so far this app makes the former pale in comparison For me there appears to be zero latency issues in regards to the app registering my gestures and the writing appearing on the screen In fact it almost feels seamless to me As I said I do not really have a diverse history of using these types of applications but just going off of the experience that I have had using Speed Text HD Well I cannot think of much more I would ask for or want out of a handwriting app I downloaded the app for free today during the current 1day promotion But I would have been completely satisfied having paid full price for this application having had such an enjoyable experience like I just did The only thing I might add to the application or change and this feature may very well be already present in the application is the ability to adjust the frequency of time for when the app posts your writing on to the page I have noticed that you can turn off the autopost altogether if you so choose and then just hit the Return button when you are done writing your textdrawing And I am very grateful that the application offers that feature But I just wondered if it might also be beneficial to allow the user to adjust the time frame from when you first start writing until you lift your fingerstylus off the screen and then it posts your writing To be honest and grateful though I would be more than happy and content if the app just remained the way it currently is which is pretty darn close to perfection in my mind Thank you and God bless                 Very Well Done and Just A Superb Tool
I got this application for the purpose of taking notes in class and having an app where I can just write stuff without pulling out the keyboard I did use pages but I had a problem with the size of the text I wanted to fit a log of stuff on one page but having the whole page as a writing pad got to be a pain The small input area and the ability to change the time limit of how long it takes between penstrokes I can write a page in no time with little mistakes The only complaint I have would be the icon menu takes an extra keystroke to access so when writing quickly it slows me down a bit At the very least space and a blank check should be accessible without opening the menu However this is a small issue and does not deter from my 5 rating                 Easy note taking
Tried three other apps before this one trying to do what I thought would be simple make my iPad a practical fingeronscreen notetaking tool Struggled with the others but this one actually works You write in a floating magnified area thats then injected like a string of tiles into the lines of the page when you lift your finger from the area for a moment Its hard to describe but it works smoothly once you get a rhythm going The developer would do himself a favor to post a video showing the app in action Also a help screen would be useful since feature like the Continuing write option remain a mystery No Dropbox support another disappointment but there is integration with Evernote and you can email your notes as JPG or PDF Hope the developer keeps polishing this its really quite ingenious and useful              Someone finally figured out handwritten notes
I have purchased too many similar apps This is by far the best I have used If you like taking hand written notes this is a must have I just downloaded to do a test drive Amazing I havent checked out all the features yet Think I will go download the iPhone app now Wish it was universal                 Very impressive
This app is really nice Its so much more useful than Penultimate when your content is mostly text and small inline symbols that you draw yourself You writedraw in the box and it shrinks your text down and puts it on the lines You can move the insertion point around between words and enter new ones or delete old ones All the words are really just little images so it looks like your handwriting for good or bad but because of the implementation including copy and paste it feels very much like a text editor Great for entering text quickly Good for math Simple idea well executed                 Great app
Yes the idea is good but there are a lot of other apps which implement this better Also I cant read my own handwriting because there is too little space in between words I dont recommend        Expensive fastfinga knockoff
I found the iPhone version extremely useful to write a memo and synchronize with evernote Now I find it has another amazing version of iPad I best thing of this app is the integrated tags that you can sync and locate in evernote Its just so handy that you will not miss any of your ideas or thoughts I used to have a pen and a memo with me wherever I go Now Im completely get rid of it since my phone and iPad would function as good as if not rival the paper memo                 Amazingly good for evernote
This app is great I use it to take orders when I am at customers Its too hard to type characters then change to numbers then back to characters and so forth This app allows me to use my finger and neatly write messages that can quickly be emailed Its worth the money                 Speed text
Fantastic note taker Problem with other apps is the written text is too large which makes note taking difficult This reduces the text down to proper scale a fantastic idea Exactly what I was looking for to enable my iPad as an electronic notebook Bonus that it tracks todos with checkmarks and posts to a separate list for review I use a box wave pen by the way One note I wish one could free scribble on the note paper Not enough to knock a star off the rating but would be nice                 Great notetaker
