US English version of Speech Sounds on Cue Speech therapy treatment software for articulation difficulty caused by apraxia of speech or other speech difficulties. This is the US version of the application, with all audio and ...
I like the app but can only use it with clients who have excellent hearing The prerecorded stimulus voice is too low even with max volume for some clients Tried external speakers but the only voice that resulted in increased volume was the clients voice as they verbalized after the microphone cue For those that can hear the stimulus voice the app offers excellent opportunities for self practice and correction             Not enough volume Tyuinbc
My family and I have been using the original desktop version for 6 years and it has been really helpful The iPad version works well but what makes it better is the interactivity using the screen rather than the mouse I would recommend this product in either version for anyone that is suffering from Aphasia specially when it is just starting I have seen vast improvement on my mother s speech since using SpeechSounds on Cue post stroke                     Great Application product Sergio A. Garcia
The videos are great and I have been able to use a few of the other features to address goals                 Great therapy tool Blondchick12
I dislike this app for promoting beer to young adults and teenagers I hope to sue the makers and remove them from the App Store     Horrible Fufukid
It s good but for a specific kind of user so keep that in mind It could be improved to make it more universal The video modeling aspect has made this very useful with some of my young students They absolutely love hearing their voice recorded too I love how you can jump to any word in the list however the app has some caveats it would also be much more practical to choose exactly which words to use in a session this way I could use the next button to jump to the next word I had chosen instead of going to the drop down list each time Another big issue with this lack of word selection is that some of the words are not appropriate for use in a school setting the words are geared toward adults I am glad to have it but for the price it really should have more flexibility data tracking ability to save profiles of some sort with a student s sounds would be super too for example Still a valuable tool for the videos with instructions on how to make each sound                 Videos are a great start specialappssk
This app is great for both adults and children Very helpful for home practice too                     Great resource DUBKAIO
i have used this as a software product and loved it i can t say that i love this app as much as it cuts out 30 of the time by not completing the sentence and fading out definitely a problem         cuts out dnascarlet
If you have a student client at the age of working on r is bottle of rum really the best choice Come on             Hmm None68467
This app is very helpful in therapy especially with my students with autism The video modeling is invaluable and the recording feature is a plus I WISH it had CVCV words as well that would make it a perfect app in my opinion                 Great speech tool Aknight53
I really wanted to love this app and only spent the money hoping it would give my student his Ah Ha moment practicing his r sounds Sadly it did not This app is limited to practicing speech sounds only in the initial position of words It is extremely helpful for many of my students on the autism spectrum who LOVE the video modeling and their attention is immediately sustained Great for first introducing a target speech sound and each sound has up to 30 practice items It would be helpful if this offered a data collection tool to track progress and offer practice items in the medial and final position of words seeing as how it is so expensive I m disappointed that the r sound is a vocalic er for the model Works great for some of my students but unable to use it once the initial position is mastered                 expensive limited therapy tool JLESLP
Speech Sounds on Cue for iPad US English is a great app for working on articulation especially for children with autism There are different consonant and blend sounds like sh th ch and many opportunities to practice making the sounds correctly The pictures and mouth that are in the app are actual people places things and not cartoon or animations I like this as a child can copy the mouth movements and see real photos This is a good app for SLP s and anyone else who works with children with apraxia and for parents who wish to continue speech therapy exercises at home                 Great for Speech Therapy Hegherardini
I like this app for additional practice on speech sounds There are three choices for practice basic which allows you to choose one sound random which allows for multiple sounds and a rhyming area The basic and random selection are in three steps First the basic section shows and gives instruction on correct production then moves to a short phrase grapes grow on a vine The random section goes right into the phrase for the sounds you have selected Each phrase has three short clips that highlight the target word A clip with production of voiced word second a clip of production without voice and lastly an area where the user can record the production The rhyming area has 4 photos of words that rhyme with the initial sound that you choose b bee key pea tea The app does not allow for data collection but I don t see that as a deterrent from downloading this one One thing that I really like is the recording step because there are no buttons to touch prior to recording the microphone appears and the user begins their word production A future update might increase the picture size on the screen and allow for more than one voiced model Definitely a worthwhile articulation app ACTbyJackieBryla                 A worthwhile speech app JackieBryla
I used the lite version of this app and thought for a long time before purchasing the full version but it is worth the investment I work as an SLP in schools and currently use it with two students who have dyspraxia and one with Down Syndrome All love it and as all have intensive services it s great to see them motivated The fading cues are perfect the students try to Imitate the word and the mouth movements without being prompted and they all enjoy the recording feature that lets them hear their production of the target words I had questions prior to purchase and the customer service was prompt and friendly The only reason I am not giving a 5 star rating is that it does not save data so I still need to record performances the old fashioned way But many books and kits cost more than this app and none have been as fun and effective as this for those kids who need a lot of specific speech therapy                 Outstanding therapy tool Anslp
