I dont understand the bad reviews of this game I have had this game for a long time now I think its fine Yes the Ai partner sometimes does stupid stuff but what Ai is perfect One game myself and the Ai both bid nil surprisingly enough we pulled it off So in my opinion until we are playing against Watson this game is fine              Decent spades game

I enjoy this game I dont have the problem with scoring For every 10 bags you lose 100 points and bags reset Scoring has been fine My only complaint is that my partner will not cover a nil bid when it turns out he had the cards to do so The instructions say this is a partner game but clearly nil is an individual bid Other than that I am happy with this app Still no fix for the lack of partner logic on nil Please fix              Great unless you like to bid nil

Numerous bugsscoring doesnt add up high card does not always win hand partner does not play nil hand correctly     Lots of bugs

If your partner plays a high card on the first hand and you play an off card not to cut the partners card the win goes to you rather than your partner If the other team bids a nil and we bid high my partner plays for the other team Often if you bid a nil and win the computer does not give you the correct credit     Plzzzzz Fix This App

I play this a lot just mindless fun however when bidding nil I take tricks when I play low card Sometimes this just irks me so much having to put up with the dumb partners is one thing I usually have to add up the bids if possible and deduct from my hand as the partner is an idiot or the bid process is relying to much on point values nothing for card distribution if I have 8 hearts in hand that means 5 in the other three but dumb partner does not take this into consideration and we lose while the computer plays tricks back and forth so a lot of work needs to be done to get this past the toy stage Hearts is much more advanced in this aspect love the game hate the bugs              scoring bugs

This could have been a great game if the AI was worth a darn Players play for their own bid and not that of the team I have bid nil and have had my partner duck my card and then later play a higher card I have bid nil and have my partner continue to play a suit say diamonds when the other team doesnt have anymore This forces me to eventually take an unnecessary trick Need I say FRUSTRATING Partner will take a bag when It could easily duck a card I like the setup and graphics but do not like the AI at all        Could have been awesome

love the game of spades but this game cheats Often the computer trumps 1st hand trumps when it has the suit I mean really a computer that HAS to cheat to win tells me the owned is sketchy     Spades at its worst

I have played this game for years Upgraded to a new IPad Air with IOS8 and now it freezes up on me a lot Have to delete the app and reload Please upgrade        Freezing Up

Scoring is erratic Partners play is sometimes really stupid An example would be bidding zero with several spades including the queen Another is overbidding by as much as four tricks     Needs Improvement

If I go nil and so does the comp on the other team my partner loses all logic on how to play when your partner bids nil Fix this it drives me nuts        Bug FIX

Scoring sometimes off but even more troubling winning books often go to wrong player and not the actual winner of that book Also should be able to review a book Bugs should be addressed        Fun but Buggy

Interesting quirk with first trick lead eg If opponent leads as an example the ace of clubs and the next hand is void in clubs but chooses not to trump with a spade but rather play an off suit the trick is awarded to that player making the assumption that they must have trumped Happens it appears only on the first trick Great game Thanks Bob R              Trick awarded to wrong team

I love this game except not being allowed overages and sometimes it doesnt score right or play in the correct suit           Fun but

Buy a different Spades app This one has scoring bugs playing bugs and overall a weird layout In todays apprich world theres no reason to put up with something as lamely executed as this one     Not Acceptable

I purchase the app and there werent any ads One day and I came back and there they were Now they want 199 more to get rid of the ads Stop being lazy and write another app to make more money Download a free app if you have to see ads anyway     Why pay twice

Bidding nil and being void in a suit and that suit is played you slough another suit not a spade and you end up taking trick Whats up with that           Bidding nil

I have counted in several games where I as the player has been dealt no more than 6 aces in total and an unusually low count of spades I am 60 years old and have never had so many strings of bad luck It appears to me that the program has been written to give the opposition better cards consistently if you win to much Unnecessary and unfair     Challenging

Not only does this occasionally misdirect trick winners make scoring errors and regularly bid irrationally but the partner regularly sets you when you bid null especially by playing its highest card when it could use a much lower card to take a trick     AAAAARRGH

I do not like because you take my money and do not deliver I paid for no ads the ads are still there I have paid more then once I go on and say no ads pay and it tells me you already have it It goes in a loop I can not get out of had to cancel my spades account to get out of the loop Redownload it it says I already purchased no ads but I still have ads then to top it off if I bid 0 and make it it does not give me my 100 bones point for backing it My partner made its bit only got the points for it     Spades HD

Very good game if you like to play with Nil bidding and Bags scoring I dont The game gives you the option to play without Nil bidding but the players still play to get Nil if zero is bid Ie My partner overtrumps my tricks or sloughs off a high card instead of helping me make the teams bid I would also like to see an option to select traditional scoring instead of Bags scoring Players should be awarded an extra point for each extra trick taken instead of being penalized 10 points        Good but

At level 10 the computer player still makes bad moves And after the update for the iPad the game crashes all the time Its still the best spades app out there so I hope the crashing issue gets fixed           Crashes all the time now

This spades games has a nice layout however it is not accurate Tricks are snagged by other players the partner will not cover a nil you cannot go back to view a previous trick Since I paid for the game not ONE update has come to fix the bugs Dont waste your money on this one     Spades had

Top level bottom level doesnt matter Nothing they do makes any sense Its as though the developer has no clue how to play spades and its reflected in his AI Its the worst robot AI I have seen However it is something to click if you just want to keep you fingers busy Month and month and no update worth anything AI still absolutely horrible Update now ads cover the cards making it hard to selected cards with out hit his ads Was always a very bad AI but instead of improving his game he made it so there was absolutely no reason to play it     Very poor AI of computer players

There is not a good AI Spades game available for the ipad This game is okay for beginners but youll learn bad habits because your partners AI is bad A person who knows how to play and compensate for your partners mistakes should win 95 of the games you play BUG Lets start with a bug I have noticed multiple times that sometimes if you dont follow suit on the first hand you will win the hand even if you didnt play trump For instance LEFT leads 10H my P plays AH RIGHT plays 2H I play 2C I win hand and lead Has happened several times AI ISSUES OPPONENT BIDS NIL If your opponent bids nil your partner will never attempt to make his bid He will always play his lowest card of a suit even if it means we dont make our bid Example I lead 2H LEFT throws 7H Partner throws 4H EVEN THOUGH HE HAS 8H Often when opponent bids Nil you lose double because your partner will insure that they make their NIL and he doesnt make his bid WHEN PLAYING youre better NOT trying to set the opponent and take books because you have to compensate for your partner PARTNER COVERS YOUR NILS horribly 1 He sometimes doesnt throw his highest and causes you to lose EVEN THOUGH HE HAS THE CARDS TO COVER Ex I bid nil Left leads with a 4C partner throws 5C RIGHT throw 3C I lose because my lowest is a 9 Next time clubs come your Partner HAS A JACK OF CLUBS and could have covered 2 At other times your partner will burn cover cards when its not needed Ex RIGHT throughts 4H I play 3H LEFT throws 8H My partner plays AH then leads 9H Again we get for no reason No CONCEPT OF BAGGING If the total bid of all 4 players is a 10 you can be certain your partner will collect 23 bags Even when youve set the other team your partner will continue to try to take hands even though it gives us bags He will even take bags when youve already won the game and a bag will make you lose and he has the ability to go under NO ENDGAME ex Score is US 470 OPPONENTS 400 bags irrelevent RIGHT bids 2 I bid 2 LEFT bids 4 partner needs to bid 1 and we win easyPARTNER bids a 6 doesnt make his bid and we end up losing THE AI doesnt consider BAGS WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BID THE MINIMUM WE NEED TO WIN etc Many games have been certain victories thrown because of inexplicable plays by partner INCONSISTANT BIDDING Often assume that partners bid makes no sense Quite often he bids 2 and then takes 6 or bids 6 and makes 2 Quite often if you bid before your partner its best to bid conservative low and then if the combined bid of all players is low 11 or less theres a good chance your partner has underbid If its 1215 then youll probably have to make up bids because your partner overbid Other notes due to the way the AI covers NILS when you bid nil your P will take a LOT of bags since the opponents will be more concerned about setting your nil and ignore their own bids unless the combined bid is high like a 13 then they seem to ignore your nil If one of the opponents bids NIL and you bid nil assume your partner is going to try to set opponents nil and ignore your nil bid even if you would win if he simply tried to cover you Any AI player who has the highest TRUMP card will always lead it even if its not advantageous draws his partners spades Despite these horrible mistakes a person who knows what theyre doing should still win 90 of the time on the hardest level As such I can only recommend this to beginners or those who just have to play spades even if the AI is poor I still enjoy playing even though I often get irritated because I cant believe how bad the AI is The way I made it fun for me was the challenge of compensating for the its mistakes If you undertand the basics you will rarely lose and when you do youll most often be able to point to what your partner did that a soso human would not do that lead to you losing I hope the programmers can consider the above in improving the AI Because any person who knows how to play spades is going to get irritated at the AI        UPDATED RATING BUGS AND WEAK AI

I dont get the low reviews on this I have had this app for months now it never crashes one minor reoccuring glitch its tons of fun You even get screwed by your AI partner periodically just like real life lol Its a lot of fun The one minor glitch is the scoring periodically and rarely at that it will randomly add or subtract 100 points It does it to the AI pair as well Its not a perfect app but still way fun              Great App

This spades app plays well but theres a bug that infrequently yet annoyingly shows up Ill be sluffing off a card that doesnt follow the suit lead and the app will give me the trick and the lead Its really annoying when Ive bid nil and it happens              Plays well

The game scores wrong Computer partners plays as if they dont have a partner You and your computer partner can bid nil It passes the time but its frustrating if you really like to play spades        Its OK

The graphics are great but the scoring is all screwed up On the last hand I played the opponents were awarded 140 points That really cant happen     Scoring is screwed up

Had the free version happily for a year updated and now I have to pay to remove ads Lots of bugs Terrible partner play especially when a nil bid is involved If a player is void the first trick and throws off a club app gives the trick to the clubthe games is SPADES     Update added adsboooo

The play on this game is one of the best that Ive seen The blocking out of ineligible suits is well thought out and creative The distribution of cards is pretty true to life The sound that indicates that Spades are broken is great And the ads are delightfully unobtrusive As a possible update I would suggest that the scoring should be better explained in the Help section I had to play many a game to figure out why points got deducted Recently the program lost all sound Ive looked in the settings and combed through the system preferences to rectify this even restored my iPad to correct this to no avail Any suggestions                 Many hours of fun

Graphics Scoring AI horribly atrocious I consider myself to be a decent Spades player The AI in this game is worse than playing with a partner new to the game Sorry One star rating only     Annoyed

The graphics are ok but the names of the players are ridiculous and each time they change so do their game plays You never know which player you are going to get Some underbid and load you up with bags some constantly overbid Not many options to choose from except the cards and background colors and whether or not too allow the Nil BId The scoring is off sometimes But not in a pattern that I can figure out Clearly more work is needed back at the drawing board Someone has slipped a 0 in that should be a 1 OK for playing for fun but the hard core player is going to be disappointed     AI isnt worth much in higher difficulty

I would think they could do some better programming to make the game more realistic Partner is usually dumber than a rock Takes extra tricks or does not even try to cover you if you go nil Bid 11 between you and your parter will go bust trying to get the other teams zero hand instead of just taking the 110 points I cant believe that they are supposed to be the highest rated I guess I can say nice graphics        Spades HD

I love playing Spades but I hate playing against the computer I thought this would be a great Spades to go with because I love the setup on this companys Hearts game but with it lacking the multiplayer mode it is worthless to me If they upgrade the game to add multiplayer I would give it 5 stars     Lacking Multiplayer

This app is cool but this app does not add the score or the books made sometimes It would not add of our books and it wouldnt subtract when the other team couldnt make their bid        Toss up

Why cant anyone write a spades app where you dont have to play with partners I had one on my original ipod years ago but cant find the app for my iphone or ipad now     No single player option

Its impossible to nil bid with moron AI that cant comprehend what your doing Hand after hand I catch my partner not doing their job of protecting my bid Going to try to find an app with real people that have some common sense     AI needs work

I love it except that all of a sudden the scoring is broken I bid a certain amount and not only win the right number of tricks but go over by a bag or two It says Im set and still adds the bags     Fix the Scoring
