Soundboard for iPad

Very useful for what we use it forwhich is stage tracking It would distinguish itself from other similar apps by adding these features 1 Auto Cue where you can set certain tracks to play back to back 2 A remote feature where you can use another iOS device connected to the same wifi network to remotely start and stop tracks as well as other controls 3 An ability to adjust the time position in playback              Great App

I heard about this app on Leo Laportes radio show I announce air shows and Ive been looking for this kind of a solution to easily build a playlist for an air show and play clips at a moments notice This seems to be the best solution Ive found other than a hardware solution like 360 Systems Instant Replay Thats over 3000 weighs a lot costs to ship to a show and doesnt allow me to add clips or pages so easily There are a number of acts in our business that will find this a great help to their performances Even the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds would find Soundboard a good alternative to what theyre now using Ill review again when Ive used at an air show Next one for me is MCAS Miramar in San Diego in midOctober For now 3 stars is all Ill give it but if it works like I hope itll get 4 12 Another reviewer suggested a fade out of one clip when starting another That would be good So would a crossfade Id pay 100 bucks if Soundboard did that Rob           Good App

There are a lot of bugs in the app Wont let you edit the name of a trigger The pages get shuffled every time you log out so they dont stay in the order you put them Change rating once they get off there behinds and start addressing the problems Oh theyll be quick to tell you why they would NEVER make a windows app but they wont lift a finger to fix the ones on IOS FIX THE PROBLEMS WITH THIS APP     A LOT OF BUGS MAKERS REFUSE TO FIX

So Ive been looking for a soundboard app for a little while now and trying to fin the right one has been frustrating until I found this It has plenty of button and multiple screens Great but there is only one problem I can not get anything loaded on here to actually play Ive tried the edit screen then taping a button to bring up all my songs and apparently all my songs are protected files They are not they are just regular mp3s Then I figured Id try and use the importexport way where it goes into the iTunes file sharing and what do you know nothing Ive loaded mp3 in there zip files and nothing work So I just wasted 20 on an app that does absolutely nothing but give me a head ache Its too bad too because I like some of their other products Live and learn     not worth the money right now

Are you kidding me it doesnt come with any sounds WTH     Joke

I have used this app for 5 months now and it has been really stable as long as you remember to reset the iPad before a show to clear everything out I suppose that may be easier to do now that iOS 5 supports multitasking and other apps can easily be shut down Be careful if you upgrade to iOS 51 while on version 100 of the application MP3 files somehow broke during the upgrade even though the iOS betas seemed to show no such problem If all of your media is AAC m4a files then you can escape the problem iTunes will even offer to transcode much of your library just to keep it easy see the summary page of your device when docked              iOS 51 issues with mp3

Sadly this run like crap on ios7 and it seems it is abandonware for the moment Dont buy     Abandonware as for today

Im extremely pleased with the Soundboard app It works nicely its reliable enough for everyday onair use and the user interface is simple and easy to use Workflow in production of a fast paced news and entertainment podcast was improved We were originally tied to a broadcast automation systems slightly funky cart deck system with some issues of transfering files between an audio production machine and the onair machine A real source of frustration and delays The iPad app removed this hassle by making any iTunes equipped machine in our iPads universe of devices into an audio production machine with easy transfer of files into the device just before showtime The fact that playout is now available anywhere the iPad goes will be great for broadcasters who use it on remotes Great possibilities there For 20 this is a real bargain compared to similar broadcast software Anything to improve We experienced a few glitches on installation until the iPad was powered off and on but then it was fine My only suggestion would be that it would be nice to scrub and cue the audio to some extent which would help in playout of news actualities Did I mention I really like Soundboard              Improved Workflow

So far so good But please consider adding the following features 1 Auto Cue 2 Swipe through the Sound Boards without first having to press the 2 button in the bottom right corner 3 The new single sound mode should have the option to fade out the previous sound The third request is a must have option when you are talking over a loop based music bed that needs to end when you are finished talking and start theendofthemusicbed or any other jingle Hope this can be included in the next update              Good but could even be better

Buyer Beware there are some really basic fails and frustrating things about this App I know there are other apps that are much more expensive but sheesh for 20 I expected a little more functionality The user interface is very pretty and allows you to customize each button on the sound board Sort Of But theres only one font and only one size and for visionchallenged folks like me it would be nice to be able to change the appearance of a button more than just a color It would also be nice to be able to rename the buttons instead of being stuck with the track title Id like to call the song that Fred is going to use Freds Song but the track has a more generic title Next when a track is playing it sure would be nice to have a counter somewhere on the screen to show you elapsed time and timetilend Instead theres a colored progress bar that makes its way across the button as the track is playing Its total guesswork to figure out how long a track still has to play and if someone asks you to cue the track at 131 from the beginning you cant do it Next while you can organize the buttons into the order you want the tracks to play in your show heaven help you if you want to add a button You cant without shuffling every button past where you want to insert the new button further down on the screen What a pain While Im at it for 2000 other apps are half the price or less why cant I copy a button If I have an applause sound effect and want to insert it into my buttons in several different places it cant be done without going to a blank button highlighting it going to the library where the track lives and assigning it to the new button A lot of extra work when youve already created a button with the track you want The developers make a big deal out of the Ducking function which I had never heard of until today It just means fading the track I think If you have the bandwidth to create that kind of feature I think your users would like it a whole lot more if there was more basic functionality I know that many other users have given this App pretty good reviews Their needs must not include timersensitive data and other things that truly makes this App a showready utility        Missing REALLY Important Features

I bought the Mac version to get the bundle discount when I acquired WireTap Studio only to buy the iPad version when it was first released mere days later Thats OK though I had no idea that the iPad release was imminent and you folks deserve the support Keep up the good work My first gig equipped with djay on the MacBook Pro AND Soundboard on the iPad is tomorrow and I cant wait to work with the two together                 Excellent DJ Tool

I would like to rate 35 stars but anyway Would like to be able to set in and out points for the sounds that could be changed as needed Would also like to see a counter for each sound Had a few crashes as well Otherwise a really good product for being new perfect for plugging into a mixer for podcasts I like the ability to set levels for individual sounds before playing them Overall Im happy with the purchase and cant wait to see future updates to push the app to 5 stars           A good start

Biggest disappointment is the lack of ability to set startstop points in the clips added Once this feature is added Im sure this will become a useful app but for now Im sticking with Snipster     Long wait Not worth it

I have a few programs from Ambrosia Software They make really good stuff So when I saw Soundboard for iPad by Ambrosia I knew that it would fit the need I have for it I am very pleased with this app It works pretty good It is easy to enter clips edits easily plays nicely backs up simply Use is intuitive I have one problem with it however For some unknown reason it shuffles the soundboards I have I have 11 pagessoundborads of clips So when this happens I simply hit edit and reorder them in the proper order but the next time I open the app they are out of order again It is very strange I need them to be in a certain order So I contacted support but after two attempts over the last two months I have heard nothing nor have I seen a fix for this come out Im kinda disappointed because in the past Ambrosia has had excellent service and I have gotten quick service If Ambrosia fixes this little problem I will update my review and give this App five stars              Great but needs a fix

Need to be able to edit sound with in the assign pad check kueit then yall should tweak this over all good app           Editing

This app has been amazing for our podcasts however imported files no longer work since loading iOS 51 on my iPad Very disappointing     Great Appunless you install it with iOS 51

OK I didnt ask before I bought so shame on me but this app includes NO sounds Unlike the demo on their website and the screenshots here this is only a playback unit Great if youve already organized all your clips and have a full library of SFX but if youre looking for a more sophisticated version of iDaft or Soundboard look elsewhere Update Ive been using this app for awhile now and it really rocks If you go to their website you can download a selection of sounds for free so thats at least a compromise from including some sounds Furthermore two live theater performances plus teaching lots of music classes have proved the worth of this app Really robust and works like a charm the ability to colorcode your clips is awesome and great for live shows The only issue for me is volume sliders on the clips is too small I accidentally stopped a clip while trying to fade it during a live show not fun Looking forward to an update this app gets tons of use              No sounds included

BUG In iOS 8 if you try to edit the title of a track it blanks out and shows an empty title Nothing brings the text back except reloading the track from scratch Also this REALLY need some transport controls so you can move around in the track and also see how much time is remaining I like Ambrosia products but this looks like it was done by a contractor without much guidance           Needs work

Also a fan of Ambrosia products I have soundboard on my Mac and was glad to see an iPad version One update I hope is forthcoming is a spotlight search window when you add a sound from iTunes As of now you have to scroll through and its quite cumbersome              Needs a search window

First this is definitely a professionalgrade app Its way better than the competitive products out there and I recommend it highly It is about time someone develop and charge the appropriate fee for a professional soundboard application and youve done it Thank you This has replaced my Roland SP404 and Im very happy with it I really wanted to give this one 5stars but there are a handful of things that need tweaking 1 You need to show more contrast between stopped and playing tracks Currently the difference between the triangle and square isnt enough in a live environment I realize the blue bar does sweep across the button but its not visible for the first few seconds the track is playing One guy suggested a time elapsedtime remaining counter how about displaying that on the button when the track is playing A halo around the button could also work I just need something to clearly see the track is playing 2 The VU meter is a great idea to the right of the buttons but its so light you cant see it I think the traditional green yellow red combination would work nicely here Dont change the size just the color This would also help the user to see the track is playing The small bumpbar on the VU meter needs to be white or it will never be seen 3 Start all the button volume levels at 70 to allow for movement either way currently you have all the individual volumes set to 100 which could require the user to turn all the pads down if one particular track needs to be louder 4 Im not sure what flexibility you have with tagging in the AppStore but I would really like to see this higher in the list It was difficult to find and Im really happy I did I was searching for Soundboards Sound players and sound boxes if that helps 5 Great idea with the track names at the top of the buttons This allows the user to see the name and press the button White track names may be easier to see in a darkened theatre Id also center the names on the buttons but its not a huge deal Again this product is firstrate If you have the requirement to play music or sound effects in a live environment you need this app Im looking forward to the 20 version              Great App Almost perfect

This is pretty impressive for a version one app The only thing that is missing for me is the ability to add files without using iTunes Please support DropBox FTP WebDav and AudioCopy Unlike others I dont expect to be able to edit sound files in this app I have plenty of other apps on the iPad and my desktop that can do that I just need a way to get those files on my iPad and into Soundboard without driving home and hooking it up to may Mac Pro              Great Start

Works well and does what its supposed to do however on my tables iPad 2Air the Add Music dialogue popup box is very slow to appear and is frustratingly slow Otherwise good app              Works well and a suggestion

Been using this app professionally now for about a year Sine updating to iOS 8 I have noticed a few bugs The most recent is the inability to name my cues With just a few basic updates and bug fixes this would be an outstanding app Right now I give a generous 3 stars Make the fixes and that will change to 5 stars           Issues with this App

Other than whats been mentioned already I would strongly push for the ability to individual pause buttons for each sound file so that one track can be paused a new one started and then the first resumed from its pausepoint Have been waiting for this app definitely worth buying in its current state If I were shooting for the moon Id love independent pitch control and AB loop points           Promising

The only 2 things I could suggest that would likely make this my full time player for mobile events is the ability for headphone cueing and a track runremaining timer timer Other than that solid so far              Fast on its way to 5 stars

Im not to happy about the fact that songs i purchased from itunes cant be added to SoundBoard Why not I purchased them Can this be fixed        Not The Best 2000 I Ever Spent

Not a toy I use this app weekly to play live tracks Works flawlessly We do Pro concerts every week and love this app Unlike other type apps it has unlimited boards so the songs you can load are unlimited and you can set up various sets to use at different venues and events Volume controls for every individual track and the pallet colors can be changed for each song You can also name each page Highly recommended                 Use it all the time

I wish you would contact me to offer a solution with this problem What makes a good product is good service Because your service is slow or maybe not at all I will not recommend this product to anyone at the present time Youve got my 20 bucks how about some service now     Cant save song titles

Decent but definitely not worth 20 Needs more import options via Dropbox etc Also needs a countdown showing how much time is left in a clip a pretty basic and necessary feature I was surprised wasnt there Needs a search option when importing from the iOS music app maybe its there but I couldnt find it Save your money for now and wait until these features are added if they ever are        Meh
