Sid Meier`s Pirates! for iPad

Just downloaded the app and I cant get passed the main menu Turns out that the app is pretty old and probably out of date I googled the problem and I am not the only one to have the same issue Not sure why the App Store recommended an app that wont work with a newer iPad     Doesnt Work

Every Time I try playing the game the menu bugs out Ive only been able to get past the first cutscene     How do I get this to work

Game crashes randomly on a somewhat regular basis Inexcusable for a pay to play game     Inexcusable instability

The app is still frozen on the menu screen It will load fine until it gets to the menu and then it is unresponsive It has been this way since I purchased the app in November 2014 I would sure think they could fix by now Cannot rate game by its performance as yet only the inability to play the game that I purchased Ipad3 running iOS 8     Still frozen

This has always been an awesome game ever since I played as a teen on PC Having said that two things on this mobile version would make me raise my review to five stars Auto sail would be a nice feature if it were mapbased instead of alphabetical The cards are too close together and new players dont necessarily know which port is which just by the name Also improve it by making auto sail realtime so that if you want to change course on the way you can ie to attack a ship you didnt expect Second the ball dancing game is horrible In the original Pirates the girls hands would point one way and you would simply go that way with the controller Boring but ok In this version its a constant reflex war and a constant consciousness war to actually care about the jerk girl who cares about these collapsing circles If you fix these two items auto sail and ball dancing Ill raise to five stars Having said all that this game is awesome Ive always loved it and always will              Very good

The game plays like it is on fast forward and it is very hard to shoot your opponents because of the speed        Plays way to fast

For such an old game it is AMAZING                 Such a Good Game

I took a few months break and decided to try this again after the new update Now the touch pad rarely reads my movements ships dont all have grapeshot and chainshot seriously I have to get those added and enemy captains are gymnasts I wont play this again     Not the game it used to be

I saw all the negative reviews about the game being to easy they must be stupid because I choose a hard mode thinking that the game would be way to easy and its freakin hard and the ship battles are frustrating           Ok game

Despite the iOS 8 update they did nothing to fix the speed issues on newer devices The game runs far faster than intended on the iPad Air 1 or newer devices This makes it more difficult than it should be to play especially because the game has a time component were your crew consumes food and certain things about the world changes as time advances plus your character eventually dies from aging Time moves faster than the rate at which you can reasonably accomplish things     Runs too fast on new iPads Air

Fix it or I Demand a refund     Doesnt do anything

It seems to freeze after 1st touch because it will not function after the intro        Game will not work

This is one of the few game apps Ive actually paid for I usually just play free games However I had to have it because I used to play it on my PC and it was the best game ever I have deleted and reinstalled this app several times and I still cant get past the main menu screen Every time I try to open and play it freezes on the main menu screen     CRAP

Speed issues on my iPad mini at least make this otherwise phenomenal game unplayable sailing is 3 or 4 times as fast as on the PC to the point where combat is impossible        Speed issues make it unplayable

Great swashbuckling game However the game was tuned to an iPad 1 I believe and never adapted to the faster and newer iPads The game moves by extremely faster on my iPad Air 2 than on my iPad 1 to the point where it is quite difficult to control the game Sword fights are hard but what is really difficult is attacking ships You sail by them before you have a chance to hit the attack button and end up just sailing around and around enemy fleets just trying to press that attack button           Non adaptive to newer systems

Wasted my money Only the title screen loads Note the last update was 2011 They need to remove or upgrade this game     Does not work with IOS 8

Theoretically one of the best pirate games to date However it hasnt been updated in 5 years and it is not playable on many Apple devices Newer devices run the game too fast to be able to play but technically the game runs so i guess thats why the game hasnt been removed But you really can only play it on devices at least about 3 years old For example its unplayable on my iPad mini first retina version but it will play on my iPad 2        Avoid until game is update

I had played this game on iPad 2 and even iPad 3 in early 2012 and it worked really well But then I upgraded to a retina screen iPad mini and it wont load I have reinstalled several times and it wouldnt load Im SO disappointed I wish they would update it already to keep up with current technology     Does not work on iPad Mini

I loved the original and I love the gameplay modifications for the iPad version I dont love the way it has recentlyas in the last weekstarted crashing any time it interacts with the Game Center It would be nice if this could get fixed soon        5 Stars if not for the crashing

Great game For those with the touch controls not working at startup I signed into Apples Game Center to fix the issue This is the fix on the 2K website                 Great game

Especially considering the new update Although others may be having trouble with it previously I was unable to play this game offline However with the new update the game performs well As for actual gameplay if you like blowing up ships the satisfaction of capturing an amazing one and claiming another city in the name of your nation then this is the game for you Theres a story but you dont even have to complete it You can do whatever you want as a pirate though you can get promoted by the four nations under the right circumstances which is always satisfying Its a topnotch game and its a shame that not many have heard of it                 Its Worth it

I find it amazing my only problem besides some minor city attack changes is after having played it a few times I got back on and a few seconds in the game kept playing but nothing happened when I tap on the screen nothing but this wont deter me from saying iOS update can break stuff                 Beautiful but

First let me start off by saying that I LOVE most Sid Meier games and was looking forward to playing this on my iPad on a long plane trip Ive never had a problem playing ANY games on my iPad before however I was unable to even start playing this game beyond the introduction screens due my inability to tap the screen anywhere to even get to the most rudimentary challenges I look forward to a patch in the hope of actually playing this game NOTE I had to uninstall and reinstall the game to make it playable Seems to work fine now but I have to find some time to play it           Had to reinstall to make work

Reloaded several times and cannot get it to work Wish I had looked at reviews by date as it seems I am not alone     Does not workDO NOT BUY

Yay My favorite game is back and I have to send a shout out to the excellent staff at Firaxis who helped debug my reloaded system                 iOS8 Problem Fixed

I love this game on PC and Ive also played it on wii But it does not work at all on my iPad It doesnt crash it just doesnt let me start a game or anything at all haha     Doesnt work
