I really doubt how much time did Sid spend on this game It has very good ideas but obviously also very great potential to improve Now it looks kind of unfinished because the missions are repeating at some considerable rate if not too often Enemy types are limited the only enemy whose shotdown gave me great great excitement was the Ace btw be really careful with him I did not finish all the packs but I think the other packs are basically just repeating the British pack So after the trialif you like it just pay 2K 1buck unless you are so crazy to collect all the different paintings of planes But note this since this game has no saveload optiononly one autosave record Antiperfectionists mechanism actually you can only collect them in your brain Sounless youre really so crazy dont pay 2K more than 1buck Oh this is my first review Im a lazy man 2K you forced me to do so           Worth only the 99 British pack

I just lost a battle because the game kept triggering different moves then the ones I was pressing Im on a iPhone 6 plus so this is just not acceptable Sometimes the game triggers the move on the first touch and misreads the intent This equals to frustration in a otherwise fun game           Frustrating Controls

Dont listen to the people complaining about a difficulty spike there isnt one much less on rookie I just played through four campaigns with only the starter plane and only died to a triplane with heavy firepower You might get shot down a few times in rookie sure but if your entire squadron is getting shot down on rookie something Is Seriously Wrong with your gameplay strategy Either 1 instead of thinking ahead about what the enemy might do and denying him the chance to get behind you you for what ever reason turn and let him get behind you thinking it will be okay because its on rookie Or number 2 you for some reason thought it would be better to get a bunch of other moves instead of getting an Immelman or some other kind of 180 degree evasive maneuver Or finally number 3 You just need more practice because you might not yet understand the way the physics and grid work              Pretty good if you dont make very obvious bad decisions

The game is just what it looks like If you like turns based strategy games I suggest you try it I think it is pretty realistic how you can lose pilots This way your performance on each mission affects your final success but you dont need to win all the missions I only wish it was not to repetitive but i still want to finish all the campaigns              Fun game

No reasonable excuse that the game lacks a true save slot My best campaign was semiruined when the app was accidentally opened If you purchase a Sid Maier game you expect something this obvious to be included     No save option Embarrassing

The program crashes when a high score is achieved and puts you in a Groundhog Day scenario where you repeat your last move and it crashes and shuts down When you restart and press continue current game it stats with your last move and crashes again Still cannot get it to work           Good game bad bug

This is a fun game to pass the time and has some neat cell shaded graphics that run great on my iphone 4 That being said each of the Campaigns are pretty much the same unless you go German It killed a few hours for a couple of weeks and got old very fast           Fun But skip the Campaigns

If you have a bottomless checking account this is the game for you It started out all too well a promising turn based game with WWI aircraft Select your pilots upgrade them with bonuses and new aircraft The first few levels were fun so I decided to continue and finish the current campaign thinking 498 for the nation packs would be value for the content received How wrong I was As others have said the difficulty level spikes almost immediately after the unlock point The game becomes frustrating and no matter what difficulty level you play on you will lose pilots and lose them frequently its unavoidable If there was a way to recruit new pilots to replace injured ones this would be less of an issue however the only way to heal your pilots is through a 099 cent inapp purchase In other words users have to pay in order to continue the game that they rightfully purchased This kind of behavior sickens me insidious microtransactions and inapp purchases are forced on a user to continue to play the game in order to make money for the developer It is equivalent to highway robbery and I urge all users to stay away from this game at all costs     The epitome of bad microtransaction games

Should be noted that this is essentially a quotlitequot version of the app as you cant beat the game without buying a campaign Pretty addictive turn based strategy with role play elements though the missions get a tad repetitive Penalties are very steep for losing a pilot as you cant retry the mission and pilots will be POW or hospitalized throughout the remainder of the campaign leaving you with only the survivors for the 4 pilot missions Entertaining but slightly disappointing              Fun premise poor execution

This is a turn based game that plays like a realtime simulation Excellent game concept To really experience the full game you need to buy all of the campaigns Pilots from different countries There are significant differences in aircraft and the corresponding tactics Even with this the game is worth buying I would have preferred to buy everything up front but this approach allows you to see if you like the game before spending more I detest the IAP healing option for one dollar Not needed and pure greed The other IAP all expand the game the total is a reasonable price for the game you get Also I hate the advertisements even if they are infrequent One star off for that crass commercialism The game has a few bugs that cause some mission crashes but they arent too frequent              Great but not perfect game

If youre a product of the 80s RPG and strategy board game generation you might remember a board game called Blue Max or a card based game Wings of War If you do than this should be somewhat familiar and fun I like this game a lot I would LOVE it if there were a few tweakschanges Ad hoc multiplayernone of that pass the iPad BS Option for larger maps with increased difficulty Option to tailor your squadron images and skills versus a semirandom lot of four chosen for you More planesmore unique flying charactoristics More mission variation maybe some naval missions More map variation Some additional ground interaction in addition to convoys or trains Maybe providing air support for an infantry advance and the like Overall a terrific game I just hope it continues to get some development to keep it fresh              Has potential I like it

Not sure if that was because of the Apple refunds for the inapp purchase that dont workinstall or a glitch Anyways just wanted to add Humorously the British planes pilots are the weakest USA second worst Now playing as the French which make the other two look like children The German are the most powerful on any level Guessing the developer not 2K which is likely merely a distributor or licensor is of a European country Thus the high learning curve even on the easiest level Also you tend to replay the same missions over over in app purchase doesnt work as I found out iTunes refunded and the new planes 2 in the game are either slow weak maneuverable or fast strong low in maneuverability Also issues with crashing most likely previous complaints are based on the IOS I have to restore all my iPads iPods every few months or the Apps start crashing An issue that has plagued Apple since the second generation of iPod Touch     Just wanted to add

to the original A very unique 3D turn based combat game Cant stop playing it Spend the dollars get the extra nations campaigns if you like the British one Campaigns can be played over and over your movements make each one different Its actually a good visualization of ACM tactics                 Faithful

This game is good but it does have a few problems The game is a little difficult to get used to You do have to pay money nothing dreadful its only 99 cents for the British campaign and is totally worth it You also have to pay to get your pilots back if they get shot down over enemy lines and to repair damaged aircraft Also not much control over the levels you play with which is realistic but not as fun Multiplayer is okay but it takes a really long time to find another player This game is really fun if you like Crimson Steam Pirates or other strategy games I really enjoyed this game Play is fun story is good and the aircraft are great Also you dont need to spend any money apart from the 99 cents at the beginning You get your pilots back at the end of that campaign                 Good game but it has a few problems
