Sand Pictures

This app is the closest to a real sand art frame Ive found on a computer let alone the iPad Its not one of the falling sand games instead its a good emulator of the water and sand motion art frames that were popular in the 70s and 80s Bought it for my wife whose been known to loose hours watching them Wouldnt be writing this review if I didnt have a second iPad To the dev dont add objects oil or flame This app is exactly what I wanted One addition that would be nice is a way to have some larger air bubbles Andor for the small bubbles to collapse into bigger ones Another nice option would be to auto flip restart several minutes after all the sand falls Maybe auto rotating backgrounds as another option Anyways this is a nice physics emulator thats nice to just sit and watch                 Closest to real thing

I totally love this app It is so much like the real thing Very relaxing and calming and pretty BUT now since the IOS6 it just crashes when I Try to open it Please Fix this           Crashed

Love this app The different ways to influence the sand bubbles manual sand moving gravity allow for a real fine tuning of the sand formations Current favorite app Id almost say game in our household The backgrounds and effects look great the physics seem very real to me Sand flows correctly in all positions and different than the other reviewer I love that the app maintains an updown gravity if the iPad lays flat on a surface suits how most of my family plays just fine I also use it as a nondistracting screensavertype app for my desk while working and would love to have a timer that flips the app like every 30min Clear five star app as it is and if the developer adds the timer feature Ill be happily renewing this review through the updates                 Fascinating

I would like to have a slide show where I can pick pictures from an album or chose one of my albums Also I would like to run my own sound track over this from my iPod collection Yet this app stops any other playing music I like the other reviewers suggestions too I hope this has updates but it is a pleasant app the way it is I am glad I bought it The splash screen doest convey the same mood as the app           Slow Sand pictures for relaxing

A relaxing yet surprising app that is a great way to unwind after a busy day Whether you like wildly throwing sand around swiping the sand gives a satisfying noise and response or simply want a pretty picture to look at Sand Pictures is a unique art creation tool for iPad                 For relaxing times make it Sand Pictures time

but this is the only offering so there is no comparison to other apps This works as advertised It must be difficult to manage all those little grains of sand The only thing this promises that does not work is my own background I cannot get to my own pictures It asked me once to access my photos I said yes then it never gave me the chance to pick a picture I love these things in real life and glad to see it on my iPad It is not perfect but what is I looked on the developer site and this app is not even mentioned so I think this is a a dead product In the real thing there is usually a catastrophic collapse of air moving up and sound moving down sometimes small islands of sand flip over as the air inverts them This type of ending does not exist in this product It is linear and uses simple calculations to move every grain no matter the forces acting on it I know this must be difficult but we have A7 chips now and things can be much better Pull out the code and update this              This is a good offering

This would be a great app if the grains of sand were much smaller The developer nailed the physics of the sand but the grains of sand are so huge it looks like its an 8bit gamejust awful looking           Closebut not good enough

Boy does this remind me of the water filled frames of the 80s But my biggest complaint is the physics are way off If I lay my iPad flat sand continues to fall bubbles continue to rise Very disappointing Also would prefer an easier color picker let us choose a starting and ending color with a color picker Sliding two fingers up and up and up and up gets tiring There also needs to be an easy way to reset the whole frame sand and bubbles Fix the physics for another star and a better chooser for another           Neat nostalgic but unrealistic

This app has nice options for colors and backgrounds but for me the grains of sand are too large It distracts me from fully enjoying the simulation Take a look at thiissand to see what I think of when I think sand I am still undecided as to whether or not I am happy with the purchase           Still Undecided

I really really like this app Fun to watch fun to play with If there were only a way to draw platforms that would affect the path of falling sand this would easily be a five star app              Good app could be great

Sand Pictures is a relaxing app that goes beyond simulation and straight into the realm of art The simple process of rotating the iPad and poppingcreating bubbles sets off the artwork in motion as little bits of sand fall down the screen with the end result always looking like something you could frame Fantastic work                 Beautiful brilliance
