This app was awesome a really nice way to shop for REI gear but since updating to iOS 8 it crashes anytime you search or basically try to do anything in the app While youre updating the app for iOS 8 please add wish list functionality Thank you Using iPad Air with iOS 8 Needs update
Lousy app Dont bother The index list on each subject page is stacked upon itself and scrambled so I cant read anything I never went any farther than that to assess functionality Just use the website which of course is the slowestloading retailer website on the planet Mr

Just read about REIs great business so I went shopping on the app Headings do not show up well appearing jumbled Why do you have to click on SPECS or DESCRIPTIONS just to see if a shirt is cotton or nylonkillin me Why are all the models wearing a size too small for themyall look like some Chippendale model shoploosen up a bit fellas Sorry to insultbut I was hoping for a better than Bean experience Terrible app

Some times a read reviews and I just shake my head Im not sure what people are looking for and why they rate this app so poorly I think its a fantastic little app for the iPad I just used it had no problems what so ever I was very easy to navigate had access to product reviews technical specs and to the REI Outlet store too If the biggest beef is no Wish List I just dont see that as an app deal breaker Use a piece of paper or the notes app on your smart device or use you full OS computer Geesh Very Nice App

The lack of access to wish lists or ability to add to wish lists is a huge oversight on the part of the developers as is the inability to view in portrait orientation Seriously guys most apps support both options this just smacks of laziness Or cluelessness to user experience FAIL No wish list no portrait orientation

OMG its 2014 and you cant create a basic app for the iPad worth a darn Too many things wrong to list Lets start with no support for portrait view broken scrolling lists and slow performance Argh
Since the release of ios8 the app keeps crashing I dont know how REIs tech department didnt prepare for this and have an update ready when ios8 launched I guess Ill check back later and see if theyve figured it out Needs updating
Ive been using the iPhone version of this app and it works fine just found the iPad version yesterday It apparently does NOT supported which is a dealbreaker for me Wish List not supported
Im joining the others wheres my wish list You want me to make purchases I make purchases from whats on my wish list The iPhone app is easier to navigate Also why do I have to be in landscape mode its not always convenient to hold the iPad sideways Be better app with changes first being give us our wish lists Its on the phone app so why doesnt it carry over to the iPad Wish list

When I clip the videos for a product The video works but there is no sound The sound works on all other apps Sound wont work

While the iPad app for REI looks good its functionality is lacking I was excited to download it for a better user experience on my iPad however I have gone back to the full site in Safari so I can actually utilize the tools such as wishlists member messages and actually look at my membership as the app says I am not the primary account holder Hopefully one day this app will be as good as the iPhone version iPad app mediocre compared to iPhone version
App improvement request enable a portrait review mode allow for product comparison like the desktop version as per other reviewers overall improvements Allow for portrait view

I think I emailed gift card to someone but order confirmation says its being shipped to my address No indication of email address I entered when selecting card Who will get the gift card I just paid for

The app covers the basics of shopping and managing your account Im disappointed that the dedicated iPad app doesnt support the portrait orientation Im going back to using the iPhone app on my iPad because I find it nicer to browse and shop in the portrait orientation Dont understand why the developers thought a single orientation was best for all customers when the majority of apps support both Basic lacks portrait

It looks pretty but this app shares the same flaws as the iPhone app and then sinks even lower Just like the iPhone app this iPad app doesnt allow the user to remain logged in requiring a cumbersome login every single time the app is used I should be able to decide if the app will retain my login information based on whatever level if risk I am willing to assume In addition this app has no support for the wish list function that is present on the IPhone app and the website more flaws than iPhone app

Wow what a bad app You would think with some many REI customers having iPhones or iPads they would have a great app Note Hard to navigate cant set parameters easily and can not write reviews on products or at least cant find where to do it Shame on you REI Dont refer me to this app everything I search REI on Safari REI Wow you would think REI would be better

This app makes it easier to spend money at REI mostly a good thing Other reviews point out its limitations but I appreciate the sorting capabilities and the option of looking at local stores inventory Depending on where you live thats a helpful feature So for me 5 stars Makes it easier
