I bought the app when it came out and now I cannot use the functionality anymore The developers downgraded me to the demo version They want me to pay another 10 to use the app I payed for S really annoying Very bad practice dont support them     Dont update

And the new price of admission is more than twice what I originally paid     I paid for the previous version of this app Now they want me to pay again

Update to review The developers have just updated the app to address bug issues but none of the issues with the recent update are listed It seems as if they really are removing features that many of us paid for previously Stealing from their customers and then asking for more money Ive emailed them and they have not responded It seems like they updated the app in order to remove the poor reviews that they received due to their last update I had previously purchased Readquick and Premium features and although the formatting for the iPhone 6 Plus was off it connected to pocket and functioned well I was really excited for the update particularly additional words on the screen formatting correction and Evernote integration however the App will not allow me to restore my previous purchase the restore link doesnt respond the full word isnt even visible instead rere is listed in the top right corner of the premium purchase screen Now Im limited to three articles a day I hope this issue is simply a bug and is addressed speedily and that its not an under handed attempt to extort more money from previously loyal customers     DONT UPDATE Update Removes Premium Features

Making the app free and then offering an inapp for the full experience is fine for new customers However I already paid for this How is it possible that you guys didnt think about all the people that had already purchased the app This free version shouldve been a new app and you couldve simply left the version I already paid for alone     Ummbut I already paid for it

The previous version of the paid app was great However after the update paying 999 for the same features as before is unacceptable The lack of restore is also disheartening Until it gets fixed Ill have to read the old fashioned way     Great before update

Update still just 1 star It appears that the bug fixes in this last update may have been just to get rid of the 100 1 star reviews I still cant restore premium This was a favorite app but now it is dead I wont pay again to get features already paid for This dev has no integrity Ill be sure to never buy anything from them again even if features are restored to what they should already be I suggest you spend your money on a different app and avoid this ransomware     Avoid this Ransomware

This developer is nothing short of a criminal Many of us paid 10 for this app and lost nearly all of the functionality we paid for the first time I hope this developer starves Totally shameful Anyone else that this happened to PLEASE leave one star rating     Criminal paid 10 now took away all functionality

App does not work I cant log in to my Instapaper account cant load any articles 999 is a ripoff for premium Stay away from this app     Do not download its absolutely useless

This is ridiculous I was a paid user and now they remove functionality the previous app had and then expect me to pay a hefty 10 fee to restore it If your new app is that much better then rerelease it as a different app and let me make the call on upgrading Apple should investigate this     Cant believe they want me to pay again

The button to restore your purchase of QuickRead Premium still does not work A message to the developers please make sure to test your final builds on actual iOS devices before releasing the updates Simply running the build in Xcodes device simulator is not sufficient     Cant restore your premium purchase

I feel cheated I was excited to support this developer in 2013 when I paid 499 for this app A better approach would have been to offer a new app at whatever price I suggest 499 and allow legacy users to continue to use old app I realize old versions become obsolete with new iOS updates It still works in iOS 8 Its likely I would have supported the developer and purchased the new app with new features but now Im shopping elsewhere There is a way to reload the old version but automatic updates make it impossible to maintain it     UPDATE REMOVES PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED FEATURES

Not sure what happened I did purchase the premium option when I first installed this app After I updated it I am not able to restore the premium purchase that I made I select premium now and the restore option in the upper right doesnt seem to work All it shows is rere The app is now broken and worthless to me The hell if Im going to spend another 999 to get the premium status back I hope that this is just a bug and will be fixed and not an attempt to collect more money from paying customers     Where did my premium go

I used and liked Readquick Till it was broken by a update that feels more like a scam Dont bother Id happily pay more elsewhere now that they have duped me     They broke a good thing

I was an early adopter after hearing the creator of the app promoting it I paid for this app right Why does this update negate the features I paid for Why do the premium features have to include removing the cap Honestly Id pay for those features but I dont like the forced cap and how this is being handled Also terrible new icon design Its distinctive in my app folder because its so bad Disappointed     Where is the app I paid for

Update broke my pocket integration by far the only reason I used the app regularly I think it might be behind a paywall and I might pay that price if I could actually figure out whether or not pocket integration was the case Update deleted all my read and saved articles and this is completely ridiculous and a mistake in the part of the developer to have the users as the first priority Devs youre probably seeing it from the 1 star rating overall but dont do this kind of thing Ever It pisses me off and it breaks the trust     Developer pro tip updates shouldnt break user experiences

Used to be simple and intuitive Copied articles from flip board no longer carry over and adding web articles requires too many steps It worked great a few months agonow its no worth keeping     Failed

Im not complaining about the previous update which ripped off existing users by stripping their premium features without notice I downloaded this app and paid to get its premium features just now None of the features Im interested in works eg flashing more than a single word or saving docs from the clipboard In fact no feature of this vaporware works on my iPad mini 2 running iOS 9 Conclusion Im an idiot and this developer is decidedly dishonest     A Fool And His Money

Instead of providing new valuable functionality the devs decided to paywall functionality that was previously available to all users I understand the need to make money Im a developer too but lets innovate and provide users with functionality that adds value instead of removing core app components and forcing users to pay     Bummer

Update This used to be a great app Ive now been using it for about a year All my friends ask how I read so quickly and Ive always opened my app and pulled up an article to give them a tour of the app I no longer feel comfortable recommending this app to my friends when I cant read more than 3 articles per day I want my premium features back and the cap limit turned off When the app cost 10 originally I think its dirty business to take away the functionally and charge me to get it back This is a great app Good work I use it to help me study all the time Ive gone from 250 wpm to 770 wpm in the past two months Im always excited to read news articles and school assignments now because I can turn it into a challenge The one thing I wish this app had was PDF support Is there anyway you could coordinate w another developer like Pocket that could expand your service Thats the only feature Id like to request Thank you for such a great app        Hero to zero

Just paid for the premium package First thing I did was try to change the number of words and the screen that pops up has a black box covering everything     Premium problem

What is going on     No support no email address

I see the developers didnt read the reviews on the last update I always find it interesting when an app that was free suddenly locks down its features and forces existing customers to pay for what they previously had access to The right thing to do would be to charge new customers and take care of your early adopters Im not paying 10 so I can continue to use what I already had     Dont update
