QuickControl for Nest Thermostat

This is the second app I purchased to control my Nest on my Apple Watch The first one would not allow me to make changes since I operate in both heatcool mode you have to in Texas When I first got this one I could not find it as the app is named QuickControl and the icon was Nest Control dont know how I missed it I emailed the developer and with a few hours got a response with instructions Once I found the icon the app works beautifully allows me to control the three Nest in the house and the one in the shop on a separate set up Exactly what I needed it to do and knowing here is great support was a plus The developer said he will rename the icon on the next update nice to see he was responsive to feedback                 Watch App for Nest

I purchased the app for its iPhone widget I now use it 95 of the time I want to modify the temperature Its much better that going into the nest app and wait for it to retrieve the information and then make the change I tried to get Google app to do the geofencing thing to set up the thermostat to home when I get close but I couldnt get it to work This app does this for me although Id like to see more control for distance to activate the feature I gave it 4 stars only because the widget is no so responsive in accepting the changes I make And sometimes it feels like I need to keep notifications center open for few seconds for it to send the command I dont know if this is a limitation by apple or the program needs some work When I contacted the developer he was quick to respond and offer so much help Keep it up              Useful iPhone widget

I have used multiple apps and this one is the best Much improved with the latest update which now easily allows me to control the temp which is really all I need Very responsive support Job well done                 Excellent app for Nest

Very pleased with this app I like being able to adjust my Nest on my Watch while my phone is in the other room charging              Works well on Watch

I have been using the watch app for several weeks now and the new update made the app more robust and stable Ive tried a few other each apps that claim to control the Nest but this seems to be the only one that actually controls the nest from my watch The other ones force you to launch the iPhone app first and if the iPhone app is not launched first the watch controls nothing This app does not need the iPhone app to be opened                 I like the watch app

I bought this app to provide iPhone Widget and Apple Watch support two things the native Nest app doesnt offer The widget works great for my 3 thermostats but the Apple Watch app needs work I cannot control my 3 thermostats only 1 Also its difficult to adjust the temperature as you have to press the sunny or heat logos which are very small Also it would be nice if the iOS app provided humidity and other statistics Not a bad app though and it seems the developer is committed to making it better           Best Apple Watch app so far but not saying much

Love the widget Im now able to adjust my thermostat much faster than with the Nest App which gets slower and slower with every update                 Very useful

Updated 9292015 Now sense watchOS2 is out I really want to be able to control my next via the Digital crown on my Apple Watch This would make thing so much easier to use           Digital Crown update needed

I bought this for my new Apple Watch and its pretty cool The Today Widget comes pretty handy as well              Works for me fine

Wow What a great addition to Nest Nest supposedly sets away and home automatically but it doesnt always work especially if youre not near the location of the thermostat It thinks youre away when youre not And with a dog it can often set itself as home when youre away Geofencing is the way to do this and this app works great without you even having to think about it Have multiple people in the home Use the multiuser function and it will only set the system to away when everyone with the cell phone app is out of the house As soon as one person returns it sets Nest to home Any questions or issues email the author and get a very quick response I dont know what more one could ask for Wait a minute I do know what one could ask for Have it on the Apple Watch too And it does And it works Love this app                 Works as advertised and great support

Really like the application I dont sleep with my iPhone but always have my apple watch This application allows me to control my nest whenever I want                 Great app works well on apple watch

This app looks promising but the sec I load the app on the Apple Watch it opens then goes away        Looks promising but crashes on the watch

I bought this app and gave it a try I wasnt sure about a couple things and sent the developer an email To my surprise I received almost immediate response answering my questions Likewise I was allowed to help Beta test the next release of the app which makes the Watch control more useful and easier to see your current temperature One of the unique features of this app is the Geofencing capabilities allowing you to automatically have Nest set to Away and Home as you leave and return to your house I love having the ability to see and change the temperature quickly in the Today Widget as well Look for the next release of this app coming shortly It is hands down the best Nest Watch app out there                 Best Nest App for Apple Watch

I tried a couple of others and this one is the best of them Its a little buggy and crashes on me now and then but Im sure the developer will smooth things out over time It does perform the basic thing I wanted which was to control my thermostat with my watch           Pretty good best one Ive found so far

Initially thought it did not work on watch Turns out works great on watch if system is on The company was fast and persistently trying to figure out the problem They expect a fix within a couple of weeks Until then if your thermostat is off you will not be able to turn it on via the Apple Watch Not a huge issue but will be fixed none the less              Good soon to be great

I took a chance and also lost 099 App loads then is dead completely nonfunctional Its not ready for prime time I suspect that the positive ratings are those of the developer or friends Pass this app by     Not Functional

The update fixed a couple of problems that I had with the app Nest is much more practical with this app as I can adjust the temperature readily from my watch or the today widget                 Update made it better

I downloaded this app with the promise I could control my Nest thermostat with my iPhone and apple watch It simply does NOT work What a waste of money I connected to my nest account with no issue However I cannot turn the temperature up or down The interface is also NOT GOOD Id prefer a dial I can tap up or down on or use the digital crown to move up or down The digital crown does not work with this app Please refund my money developer or improve this App ASAP     This App does not work and I cant contact developer

The idea of the app is great but the widget always says Unable to load     Widget Is Unable To Load

So far it works with my nest will continue to use and update later as I use it more                 Works with my Nest

This is the BEST App for controlling multiple Nest Thermostats from an Apple Watch Dont bother with the others Ive tried them and they dont do the job This one works perfectly                 Awesome Update

Apple watch app crashes every time I try to change the temperature to a degree that turns my hvac on For example if current temp is 76 and the ac is set to 78 I can change the temp to anything 76 and above The second i change it to 75 which would turn my ac on the app crashes and the temp does not change like it does when I change the temp to an irrelevant temperature     Crashes every time I try to change the temperature

I was looking for something like this for a while I didnt want to launch the app all the time in order to adjust my thermostat and this app does exactly that Also it works well with the watch                 Practical

The main reason I bought this app was for the widget in the today pull down screen While the widget exists it does display or allow the functionality as shown in the screenshots in the App Store 99 wasted wishes into a water fountain     Not worth 99 pennies

Initial I had a problem getting this application to work I contacted developer and you got back to me right away He worked with me diligently to correct the issue But it turns out I was the issue I had not put in the unable to Now the application works great and I love it The developer did a great job helping me and went out of his way When we were having problems even refunded me the two dollars                 Great Support

This app is poorly designed You can set your nest to away without providing your location You shouldnt have to do this to set a simple condition on the Nest The UI is a little rough anyway The biggest problem is that even after setting it up on the phone the watch app never updates state and continues to say please set up on the phone Ie This doesnt work at all in the most basic way Now Im mad I spent money on the best presented app        Ug

Best best app yet but one issue Its stuck on upstairs now and cant chance that on Watch Sigh Other than that this is best one yet Please fix the issue of it getting locked up with multiple Nests on Watch           Nest

It adds those missing features to the standard Nest App like the Apple Watch support and the widgets The latest is very handy and super easy to use For any bug and issue just use the in App button to provide feedback and you get help and feedback almost immediately with also fixes done in a snap A great example of how things should be done                 Great App with super support
