Im not a quilter so this is not an expert review but I find this app useful Im just learning to sew and my next project is a lap quilt This app shows me all the basic blocks and how to cut and piece them One review wanted to know where to find yardage It was a typo look at page 9 and 10 The guide says page 109 and 110 This program may nor be worth 399 to some one that has been a quilter for a long time but its not a bad app I think the price should be 99 for the amount of content If it was 99 it would be 5 stars Not a quilter
The app crashes every time I select next Not worth the money Crashes
This app does not show what the quilt looks like with blocks put together does not show yardage of fabrics needed based on block size does not tell you how many blocks to make and measurements do not look correct at least on Grandmothers Choice one I happened to notice I wish I had my 399 back because I will never use this app Dont waste your money
I have had this app for 3 years It is a great tool I use it as a go to when I need a block to sew The ability to choose different sizes and the quick cut directions are so easy to follow The hints and help section is great to have on the go Best is when I am designing I can quickly get measurements on how to cut out different segments Great app and reference tool
This is a great tool for newbies as well as experienced quilters Would love to see a layout grid so we arrange and rotate blocks to see what the finished project will look like Great job Love It

This is not how our grandmas quilted But I dont mind This is a wonderful resource Ive found the cutting guides quite useful particularly regarding triangles and which way the bias should run through them The stats for various block sizes is helpful too as it takes the math and guesswork out of trying to resize a block I can see where its usefulness might be limited to an advanced quilter but as a beginner to intermediate its a great tool for me a great tool
Quiltfab is free an pretty much the same I spent far to much for something that doesnt even let me piece together a virtual quilt Very limited

What a cool app Not only do you get 102 inspirational block designs but each is already figured out in 5 different sizes Clearly laid out charts make it super easy to figure out how many colors you need for each block as well as how many of each shape in each size A real timesaver Inspiration X 102
I love this app I can browse blocks and dream about the kinds of quilts I want to make this winter There are piecing instructions and yardage and cutting info included Definitely worth it I own the original block tool and it is 17 so this is a bargain Great little app with 102 blocks
In addition to finding some blocks that I had not previously used this is so much fun when talking to nonquilters about potential quilts to make for them I share my passion for quilting by giving quilts as gift Using this app you can show the receiver blocks and it gives them an idea when choosing the colors they would prefer Two wedding this past weekend both couples are receiving new quilts I used this application to give them ideas Thank you so much Totally Awesome
how do i get my money bacK very limited everytime i hit next while looking at a block it shuts the program down only a few reference tips dont waste your money stinks
Its a sweet app that I can reliably quote from in class I trust the cutting measurements and yardage references will be accurate because its from CT Publishing Quilt teacher author

Found a quirk when I try to add items to my Favorites in this application it add the same block over and over and does not add all the blocks I want The blocks are colorful and easy to see I have not actually tried making any yet so I cannot vouch for how they turn out quirky

I have bought a couple of other apps thinking that they would give the measurements for the blocks and layout I just created but they did not This app gives the size and layout of the block I wish the app came in a version for the iPad and that I didnt have to click on the 2x button It would also be great if the developer in the future will add additional blocks but its a start Just what I was looking for
I have been playing with the app and love it love it
There is a very good selection of blocks to choose Also the convenience of being able to select the size of your block At the bottom of your screen select info and you can view the charts The charts have your block pieces in regard to cuttingsewing and the calculations for how much fabric you need for each part of the block
A very helpful apptool when you are shopping for the fabrics you need to design and make a new project with traditional blocks
I am making the Arkansas Road block to incorporate into a new challenge project
This is a welcome iPhone or ipod app

It appears that this app works for some and not for others I too cannot get past Tip 11 nor can I hit next without it closing the whole program I have rebooted the iPhone just to be sure but this app just will not work on my iPhone 4 It has to be a foolish glitch that others dont get for some reason Hope you can fix it soon It sounds like a great app for many people and useless for otherslike me Does not work on all iPhones
