This is such a great app I love programming in Python when on the go I was playing around with the Piano example on a plane last week Such a great way to use that idle time One suggestion Dropbox or other shared file repo for scripts between devices                 So awesome

Pythonistas error checker is buggy I wrote a statement in my program print 5 and wanted to get this output When I tried to run my program Pythonista highlighted the line print 5 in red and I spent almost an hour testing this statement only for it to run correctly on every single 27 interpreter I tried OS X my universitys web server account ideonecom So I thought I was crazy until I noticed that a closing parentheses was missing from the line ABOVE it Pythonista was highlighting the correct line in red and ignoring the line with the error Please fix this and make sure this app highlights the correct line Otherwise users will waste time trying to debug correct code Where is the turtle module Students use this to learn the basics of calling functions from modules This is an inadequate Python IDE     Error checker is buggy

This app is awesome This app is by the far the best programming app on the appstore It manages to circumvent apples insane policies while breaking no rules and providing an great tool Perfect for learning testing code and developing fun applications Genius interface and epic features and tools This is by far the best app on the appstore I have no complaints PS I hope bluetooth support gets added                 AmazingApp

Amazing support documentation and an active friendly and helpful forum With a few minutes of setup and adding your first few useful pythonista action menu scripts from the forum youll have a powerful bridge for inter appcommunication web browsing creating your own UIs playing sounds setting custom iOS notifications and much much more I started learning Python because of this app With its amazing built in documentation and autocode completion features its fairly easy to figure out and there are lots of scripts on GitHub to install and look through the code to see how it works This is very well designed and thought out and makes learning Python easy                 More than worth every penny

This is an awesome app Need to write a script on the go Write it on Pythonista and email it to yourself Have a good idea for a iPhone game that you want to write WRITE IT IN PYTHONISTA Amazing intuitive and easy to use Python 3 users dont be detoured Python 2 isnt much different at all and theres documentation on the new modules                 Coding on the go

Thank you for finally making something that works I dont usually leave reviews but I had to for this deserving one I was really tired of wasting money and time on apps that didnt work or hold up to their promises Thanks a million times over Worth the money                 Its about time

To have such a nicely elaborated and powerful Python environment under iOS is close to a miracle Fully and unconditionally recommended for anybody interested in doing some programming on an iPad                 Deserves any and all awards for app development

I am a very enthusiastic Python programmer working mostly in 27 on Wingware Pro IDE on the MacBook Pro This app is wonderful for trying out little bits of code on the go What I do miss though is a better method of moving code files back and forth between my pad and my MacBook Otherwise I love this app              The missing app for sure

I like this app but I wish the author would update the app to allow users to choose between Python 2X and 3X It hasnt been updated in a very long time and users like me are spending 699 for an app we expect to be updated on a somewhat regular basis              App needs to be updated to include Python v 3X

With the recent additionsUI location etc this app is almost perfect Definitely worth the money I spent considering the extras they have added since I bought it There are other apps that allow you to write and run programs on the iPad but this one was given the features and design to allow you to make actual useful programs and games                 Best IPad app ever

This app is amazing Actually painless to code on iPad and this is one of my favorite IDEs even compared to those on computer My complaint however is that this app is based on the 27 version of Python instead of 34 or greater              Good but not 3x

Hope there will be more packages coming and I will give 5 star              Like the idea but no pandas

Pythonista is the best thing that has happened to my iPadwell since getting my iPad I have done some iOS development and written a few apps for iOS devices using the usual development tools One thing that I have always wanted was the ability to write simple programs directly on my device Pythonista delivers this and so much more If you are reading this and you think you might like it get it You wont be dissapointed Also the builtin documentation for offline use is great                 The missing tool for your iPad

This is a great app it helps me do so many things Its way beyond other Python IDEs on the App Store I can run programs to print out pi find anagrams of words and even generate fake addresses This app can be used to download and unzip compressed files from the Internet interface with Dropbox build UIs and games with touch controls The only way I think it could be improved is if the developer included modified versions of Pygame and Tkinter The UI module does similar things to Tkinter but theyre written differently What Id love is if there was a version of Pygame that used all the same functions and classes etc but when you call pygamemousegetpos it returns coordinates of the finger on the screen and pygamemousegetpressed returns whether the finger is on the screen This would mean compatibility with computer programs that you could load into pythonista and theyd run I dont know if thats possible but itd be great                 Amazing Love this app

I program in Python extensively in my day job but find myself often using Pythonista on my iPhone 6 when I want to try something out solve data structure and algorithm problems or explore a library Its incredibly well thought out and intuitive something quite difficult to do in a small form factor Wonderful                 So worth the price

Together with Launcher Safari and Workflow Pythonista can do ANYTHING The synergy is amazing its these kinds of apps that will keep me on iOS forever Sure you can write fulllength Python programs but when you start integrating other apps its incredible Thank you for this amazing app                 Truly unleashes the power of iOS

I would like to use it to work around some of the limitations of the builtin Photos app To do that I need a few more methodsfunctions to write metadata to photos read into the app and to specify which preexisting photo album to write photos to Otherwise this is a great app              Great app but

This app is great for coding on the go but as I am just getting into the programming world Python being my first language I wish I would have known before buying this app that it was for Python2 It isnt a huge deal but since the syntax is a little different in Python3 there are certain things I cant figure out and find myself having to look it up online and transpose my code When I bought the app a while ago I did not realize there were noticeable differences between Python2 and Python3 Had I know I would have waited for a new app Still worth the money especially if you have been coding with Python for a while and have experience with Python2                 Python 2

Pythonista is wonderful software My very short wish list as a newcomer is smaller editor fonts andor a font that is more compressed to compensate for the narrower screens initial Help tutorialbutton I had to google to figure out how to GET to an interpreter window optimize for iPhone 6 screens which I believe is planned for next release I use Pythonista solely on my iPhone                 Greatest mobile Python ever

I got this just to tinker with Python and get a feel for the language With zero prior experience with Python I was able to write an app that Ive been wanting for a few years in just a few hours I have a few minor wishes for improvement but most are things that appear to be out of the developers control such as Dropbox sync Its very well written and very powerful                 Amazing

This app is very useful for one that wishes to program on their phoneiPodwhat have you Being one that is highly fluent in Lua and only having actually poked around in Python a week ago this app blows all the others away There are no addons you have to buy to do something like draw a picture or play a sound This has lots of modules to use Of course its got documentation and tutorials on Python as well as the fancy modules to use What really blew me away in this was the ability to make GUI files with an editor without having to go through the painstakingly long process of creating each element with code And I was able to use iOSstyled elements which was even more amazing So far Ive noticed two things that bothered me holding your finger over the cursor shows the iOS 6 magnifying glass which has that awful reflection in it not to mention it doesnt go under when it has no space to go above your finger Another is if you leave your program running go back to the editor and change something when you try to stop the program from running from that screen the app freezes Overall this is a great app and is worth its cost                 Fits my needs

This app is PERFECT You can create txt files within the app to import and work with switch between test runs scripts and documents with the swipe of a finger The text is easy to edit with excellent touch screen response and has autoindent helpful for new coders This app lets me practice coding on my own while out and about so I can get more experienced WORTH THE MONEY                 As a newbie

and I didnt know Python So the idea of programming on an iPad let alone learning a new language seemed crazy but this editor is just fantastic Even the onscreen keyboard makes the whole process a dreamwith shortcuts to all the keys you need Bonus built in language tutorial and reference Well worth the price Note I had some reluctance in buying this because it hasnt been updated in a year but it works great on iOS 8x From one dev to another At least update the app every few months if only to bump the version number and let potential customers know its still supported                 Ive been a developer for 20 years
