This product is almost amazing but the one thing it doesnt do well is work as a teleprompter I bought this and a cool ipad teleprompter rig in advance of an interview I was shooting It worked great when we had the host read through the entire script at once but when we tried to go line by line the app broke down You cant rewind which is awful but you can go in and install a bunch of tracking points and then scroll through them Which is clunky but would be okay if scrolling through a bunch at once didnt cause the app to crash at least on the iPhone 5 And when you get to the end of the script it automatically goes back to the beginning instead of pausing at the end so if youre not quick enough to stop it before it hits the end theres no way of getting back to that last paragraph in the prompter without scrolling through all of the tracking points in order which makes the app crash or playing the entire script from start to finish until you get to the end which takes forever and causes everyone on set give you awful looks This seems like it should be an easy fix Let me scroll through the entire script on my phone easily and quickly and dont reset to the beginning when I hit the end But until then I wouldnt touch this     AWFUL Almost got me fired

I used this for a video shoot and it works great but there are some vital features that are lacking and could easily be implemented manual scroll Currently you can only start and stop the prompter at a preset speed Why cant I just manually scroll the script by sliding my finger you should be able to change the display settings from the remote device there desperately needs to be a way to restart the current script at the end without having to back out to the menu there should be some way to rewind just a little bit in a script The Bluetooth connectivity between two iPads works great        Has potential but needs work

Update on old review I was finally able to get the remote downloaded for free Though if you buy it over the air this can be a problem I guess Used the app for a bit and its just okay A few nice features but the inability to scroll backward or better yet to scrub kind of kills it The remote is really limited in its functiionality There are better apps for this but veen they have some problems           Not bad

This is a great app We use it on an iPad mounted on a teleprompter to produce corporate videos We wish there could be a way to indent the text so that it does not touch the left screen margin when in play mode Please consider including paragraph indentation                 Text indentation

My preferred choice for prompting software Excellent and the best I have purchased every prompter software available and non as durable as in no other was even close                 Proprompter

Purchased the front end from Boldein and coupled up with the iPadiPhone apps make a great prompter The ability to switch between wifi or bluetooth makes it very versatile And the ability to use a prompter on a hand held shot is something not every prompter system can do                 Great System

I tried this app for my iphone 5 and ipad 4 It just keeps crashing on me Dont waste your money and time     Crashing all the time

Cons Im out 10 but you dont have to be Dont waste your time and money on this app Could be great except that the program doesnt run long enough to make it through a script Pros If you only need a teleprompter for your intro paragraph this might work     Constant crashing

Solid as ever I dont know why they updated as its always worked for us Have always loved the finger swipe speed and recue                 Fast update

The remote feature is useless in its current state For example If you are remotely operating a teleprompter with two separate devices say iPhone 4 for teleprompter and iPhone 5 for remote control the operator and talent see two different lines of text Making is totally useless for a teleprompter app with a remote feature There needs to be a resolution pairing to the teleprompter screen That is the only way to get the same lines of text     Needs proper remote controls

This app crashes constantly Lucky if it will run for longer then 2 minutes This needs a patch in the worst possible way Dont waste your money Its a great app but the way it is right now its worthless     Crashes constantly

This version 171 has a bad habit of quitting before the roll up is finished No warning just poof and its gone It also does not rotate with the tablet which is a pain Wish the speed controls were better Lots of little irritants but the vanishing act is the killer     Fail

Imagine the frustration of getting 10 minutes into an 15 minute video script and being interrupted by a noise No problem Well just stop the prompter and back it up a few paragraphs and complete things right Nope Not with this product You get to start over at the very beginning Its such a fundamental need for production that I cant imagine designing a program without it I really wish i could get my money back I immediately went with my first instinct and bought the 15 software that is 1 Update this please        No Reversing really

I have the control unit on my iPhone and iPod and strap my iPad just under my Camera I used this for my kickstarter video and made me look like a rockstar Happy Customer                 Awesome App

Proprompter on our iPad and iTouch have helped us produce professional looking videos without memorizing scripts and without looking elsewhere other than the camera where we reflected on a teleprompter rig I made for 15 the script and played it back Its easy to use works very well and of course allows you to reverse the text for the reflection not all teleprompter software does this and usually costs a lot more money Rounding out the Apple production studio was shooting the entire thing with the iPhone if only we could buy iLighting rigs now wed be set                 Great

Major connectivity issues Im on a 3GS and an iPad 2 all with the latest iOS There is no way I will use this with my executives I tried to demonstrate the app to my boss and was extremely embarrassed because it didnt work Until they fix the connectivity issues I would not recommend this app        When it works its great

Needs improvement The main drawback is speed control its not responsive enough to be practical and trying to rapidly speed up the prompter results in stopping the text because of accidentally double tapping The settings for color and point size do not transfer from the master iPad to the slave iPad so if you need to resize mid shoot you have to do it on both On the other hand the customer service and tech support is very good Timely and detailed responses to our issues is a big plus for this team I was told they are currently working on an update to increase the responsiveness and practicality of speed control which will help this app immensely Also editing scripts on the fly is a breeze and the bluetooth connectivity is extremely fast as long as your wifi is off All in all this app has the potential to be ready for a professional setting with a few improvements Acerra Group           Needs some improvement

Use this pretty often and overall I like it Too easy to accidentally tap out of prompter mode when trying to control the speed Wish it had a slider to control speed              Good budget prompter

i never leave anything but good reviews or just say nothing but jesus christ this app half the time will not connect with my ipad especially after logging out of the app from one device when it works its magical when it screws up it can ruin my whole day to where i get so frustrated i cant even function right this app will skip halfway through the script if you just look at it wrong forcing you to start over or go back and asterisk every paragraph and start over again sometimes rebooting both devices does not resolve connection issues i had to fight with both of these things for 30 minutes just to get them to connect i want my money back this is absolute rubbish     terrible app ruined my whole day

Theres a lot thats good about this app You arent confined to txt files You can cut and paste from a Word document with no problem Creating a new document and editing inside the app is a breeze Font size adjusts background colors adjust all caps or notyour choice Remote control using iphone bluetooth mostly works select the document tap to start or stop but I havent found a way to control scrolling or speed by swiping the iphone or ipad screen If you insert asterisks at strategic locations in your document you can navigate within the document UPDATE I encountered bluetooth remote not controlling the iPad version after some 15 minutes of use shortly after installing the two latest updates With some frustration and resignation I called their support line I left a message explaining the situation and asked if they would call back not really expecting any response But Im very pleased to report that TJ called back in less than 10 minutes and offered some very constructive suggestions the most important of which were to use wireless rather than Bluetooth or to break up a long presentation into a few shorter ones because there is apparently a limit to what Bluetooth is capable of doing To me the important thing was that there are actually real people behind this company who are proud of their work and want to please their customers Good work              Useful but not yet perfect

I have used this for almost two years now Dont need it more than maybe 6 or 7 times per year but I have consistently frustrated talent by trying to match speeds to their delivery The swipe controls constantly will jump to the next cue point or sometimes do nothing The remote connection between iPhoneiPod and the iPad frequently drops or fails to connect sometimes making me look foolish Really needs font size scalingmatching so the same words are on both screens for more precision speed control Too hard to monitor my camera controls plus monkeying around with the prompter Clients are unwilling to pay for 3 person crews anymore so it would be helpful if the controls on this were more helpful Its better than cue cards but I am searching for a better alternative           Functional but not perfect

1 The ability for the remote iPhone iPod to have matching resolution so that the text flows identically on devices At the present time you have to fidget and tinker with the settings on both devices to make sure your script doesnt end too soon on your remotes etc Because of this 2 stars Its very frustrating I would rather have a simple remote option Instead of having the text on the remote too Just make the remote a remote making that an option would solve the matching resolution issue since there would be nothing to match 2 A suggestion PLEASE add a page turn OPTION Some of my scripts need to stay still Until Im ready to turn the page I use this software at times to speak from notes And not necessarily as scrolling script So the ability to load a script and turn page by page would be awesome Other wise Id use something like Presenter instead of Pro Prompter But no presenter software at present will give the ability to reverse the text for TelePrompter glass        I would add the following features

Please add a start midscript option Restarting from the beginning is so inefficient I got around this SORTOF by copy paste into shorter separate scripts but still My client did say the ipad prompter saved the day which was nice Just needs that 1 thing addrd to be 10 stars out of 5           Scroll crazy

It is a practical app and clearly more professional than paper Thats why I use it but some limitations are simply frustrating One very basic feature that it lacks and the most frustrating is the lack of AutoSave I do not understand why this slipped away but imagine typing for X minutes just to find out that you must save before any other up takes the screen or youll loose everything That is certainly not iOS standard The other basic and very well known limitation is he limited and primitive scroll speed control Having a touch screen this should not be an issue but unfortunately it is It is so hard to control display that you end up having your talent match the scroll instead of the other way around Bodeline should fix these or well look elsewhere for software and hardware solutions           Needs basic well known improvements

There is nothing pro about this ProPrompter app because you cant count on it to work I can connect via BlueTooth from my iPod remote to iPad prompter I can connect and even view all the scripts loaded on the iPad but no matter how long the script is it just sits there loading until it disconnects Sometime I can use the iPod as a remote when wifi is available but it has to be a real good signal and even more than half the times it does the same as the problem with BlueTooth Also if the script is any length about half the time it stops right in the middle and goes back to the iPad menu screen and there is no way to start the script in the middle You have to open the script in edit mode and delete everything prior to where you left off Using this app for my business has really cost me The iPad is the new iPad or iPad 3 and t its operating software is up to date The iPod is 4th generation and its operating software is up to date The ProPrompter app is version 171g The support team answered my email pretty promptly but were off no help They just stated that it works fine for them and I havent heard back in over a week since my last email     This app doesnt work

No undo button and very glitchy Disaapointed        Not Happy

This is a fantastic app Its easy to use and I love the fact that I can use my iPhone or iPod Touch as a remote control while I use my iPad mini as the TelePrompTer I see A few reviewers complaining and stating that there is no way to make the text go backwards and they need to start at the beginning if someone flubs a line well that is 100 incorrect If you place an asteric before each paragraph you can swipe right or left to jump ahead or back within your script to the prior or next asteric Overall I think this is the best TelePrompTer app out there if you take the time to learn how to use it properly                 Great app when used properly

I give this 3 stars because the script on the remote app stays in sync well Speed control is not that great either using the volume buttons or just swiping up and down A nice horizontal speed control interface at the bottom of the screen would be great Importing scripts would be nice as well Right now I copy and past from a script in DropBox Even with 3 stars I think this functionally the best teleprompter app if you just need basic functions but need to see your script on the remote app           Doug

Ok so you cant rewind with this app but there are two things that mitigate this issue 1 You can use a second iOS device to control the main prompter this is awesome and makes being the subject of your own work actually doable and 2 THEY HAVE A SITE And while the site says its not the preferable way to ingest scripts I beg to differ The site works beautifully the sync setup is awesome and the scripts just appear and work Which means I can copy and paste from whatever app I was typing them into and BAMMO the scripts are there and ready to go Brilliant Simply brilliant                 Use the site luke

Strange to say but this app has made me a lot of money Ive been hired repeatedly because the client liked the functionality so much The mayor of Los Angeles called me personally just to request my iPad teleprompter again The only improvement I would like to request is making the speeding up and slowing down more sensitive as it really takes some getting used to to master Also occasionally loses sync between my iPad and iPhone if Im using over wifi Bluetooth has been pretty reliable                 Really good when you need it

Update Below When this works it is fantastic Unfortunately when on location you do not always have wifi to sync the app between your iPad and iPhone Then you would be using blutooth Sometimes the blutooth connection works sometimes it requires starting the app several times before it works In a professional situation when you have a CEO or other big shot in front of the camera unreliable is unacceptable It seems to connect about 30 percent of the time without needing to restart the app Remote control speed adjustments do not work just starting and stopping the scrolling Update This new version solved the problem with scroll speed I can now adjust the speed nicely with my phone Connections issues which may not be the developers fault are still a huge issue making it unreliable for professional use The app description tells you its an advantage that the size of of the text on the phone does not match that of the iPad Is just is NOT the case and another reason it cannot be used professionally Some of my text appears in the middle of the iPhone screen when it has yet to appear on the iPad They must get the two to match Using iPad 3 and iPhone 4           Unreliable for pro use

This is a great app Combine the iPhone iPad and the the special camera attachment to make a complete teleprompter system                 Love it

This crashes on an iPhone 5 iPhone 4S iPad 2 and iPad 3 Worst app ever So many things wrong with it and its not even stable It crashed on me 9 times in an hour and locked up iPads Embarrassed me and the director in front of our client Also we could not get it to run stable Do not buy this     Do not buy this Almost got me fired Fails on every device

All that I can say is WOW What an amazing use of the iPhone This app couldnt be simpler more straightforward or effective I own a small videoproduction company and have had the need for a teleprompter on many occasions but simply lacked the funds to purchase one ProPrompter has changed all of that With a simple homemade rig I was able to make a stand for the iphone and then I mounted a flexibleneck clamp to my tripod which holds a piece of scpecially designed beamsplitting glass this is needed to eliminate the double vision look youll get with regular glass and I am good to go For less than 90 I have a fully functional teleprompter setup for all future clients In addition the response from customer service at Bodelin was lightning fast and very helpful what more could anyone ask for Keep up the great work guys                 Maybe the best app EVER

I used this app for a couple years and found it to be a little buggy but very workable The last time I tried it I couldnt get the remote feature to workand there hadnt been an update or anything We ended up having to try to run the software while standing to the side and speeding upslowing down on the iPad itself Not ideal by any means and now Im searching for a replacement app        used to work now it doesnt

This prompter app has saved my butt numerous times Along with the XTENDER articulating arm with iPad mount I own I can move the iPad just about anywhere for the talent to view The only drawback is using the iPhone to control the iPad the words scrolling through the phone arent scrolling at the same speed This makes it hard to adjust for your talent              Incredible App

The wireless sync works perfectly on my iPads On the last shoot I hooked the second iPad up to an external monitor so I actually had 3 prompters going                 Best way to run multiple TPs

Promotional material for this app is a bit deceptive about the ability to upload scripts to your script manager site It says UploadDownload scripts via email copypaste iOS3 min Or use our script manager site for those with no email After buying the app I spent a lot of time on the site trying to figure out how to log in and where the script manager is only to learn The ProPrompter Producer site was made for script management for warzone reporters and is not the preferred method to load a script onto your Apple Mobile Device           A Bit Deceptive About Use of Script Manager Site

I have frustration on every production with this POS It does not reverse so you have to restart every time the talent has a restart The sync option is good but it should be dropbox not their clunky cloud        back up and dont buy

I do produce videos for our church and we tape weekly announcements This is just what we need My only wish list is to be able to scroll up or down so I dont have to start from the beginning if we make a mistake Other than that I love this app              Great app

Pro Prompter is a well featured app allowing you to control your iPad version from your iPhone Text on one is mirrored on the other which is perfect for field situations where need to follow alongmuch better than traditional IR or Bluetooth remotes Setup is simple Launch the app on both devices and hit the remote button The devices search for each other via Bluetooth and connect You ready to go A few glitches prevent 5 stars Several times after editing a script I noticed missing textcharacters The text would be fine on the iPhone but when sent to the ipad mysteriously parts of sentences were not there Closing both apps and restarting seemed to fix the issue Also scroll speeds seem too slow and swiping doesnt change the rate as it should Nothing happens           Love the remote control options

Probably the most successful gotta find an app for this now moment to date for me I had text rolling on the iPad in moments I even had time to try the iPhone sync and control option It all worked The connect btwn iPhoneiPad is a little flaky but not once you connect Turns out that pausing editing starting and stopping on the iPad is so simple that as I was running the camera too I didnt need the companion iPhone app But I could see it being very useful My scripts synced right away no issues Editing on the fly was really simple and easy Adjustments to speed and point size were rapid Its so useful in fact that I bought prompter glass etc to use it more effectivelyWell done Improvements Biggest thing I havent tracked down is that the type in edit is upperlower but on scroll in all upper Spacing is not consistent btwn the two All caps roll is good but if so somehow I just need an all caps convert option for copy Scroll to select starting point would be useful perhaps a two fingered tap to start Could see a moveable guide bar              Up and rolling in seconds

Terrific app Very smooth Highly recommend it Im a professional speaker but was a total newbie to teleprompters and was overjoyed to find this simple easytouse app for a recent video shoot Wish list Onthefly speed control both onscreen and with remote instead of having to stop the script and go into Settings every time Very burdensome Ability to move the reader bar up or down really up so the subjects eyes are focused as close to the camera lens as possible instead of several inches down in the middle of the screen Ability to swipescroll up or down through the script and start it at any given point instead of having to START THE WHOLE SCRIPT OVER AGAIN AND WAIT FOREVER UNTIL IT FINALLY SCROLLS BACK TO YOUR MARK sorry was I shouting Camera crews cost money you know and wasted time waiting for a point in the script to finally return so we can shoot is a total waste of money Just adds to the 999 price and thereby keeps increasing the actual cost of the package FYI to Bodelin              Good almost great

The only complaint from me is the update that came out doesnt allow the font to any color but black I need white font on black background for my homemade prompter box Once that changes I will rate this a 5 star app           Good app but
