I have used various versions of this app since the Palm Pilot days of the 1990s I have had continual access to the NIV bible translation that I bought then through all of the different platforms and upgrades along with dozens of other translations and commentaries This is a tool that I have used weekly usually daily for about 20 years I can t say that about too many other apps The original developer is still leading the charge He is creative innovative and knows his stuff He thinks carefully about how people use the software and is regularly making helpful improvements that accelerate our study of the Word One of my favorite features of PocketBible is the personal notes bookmarks and highlights Notes that I added to a verse while in seminary in the 1990s are still there today helping me to see how God has continually been working in my life Now I have literally 5000 of these personal notations that give this app the feel of my very own well worn print Bible with lots of underlining highlighting and notes scribbled in the margins Plus it s all always available on all my devices With this latest update I can easily and quickly search through these notes e g search barnacles to find that C H Sturgeon illustration I added many years ago This is why I m a loyal user of PocketBible This is why I m a loyal user of PocketBible Gary Cantwell

I have been using this Bible app since it was available on a Palm Pilot I loved it then and it worked flawlessly on that device When I found it on the iPhone I tried it and found it just as stable and full featured as the previous version I was amazed that all my book purchases from a dozen years ago came right across to the new device as well Recently they have updated this app to improve the user friendliness of the app and it is indeed a great improvement I have many Bible apps but this one is the best by far The best Bible app Yourbuddycraig

I have been a long time user of this Bible app So frustrated by the latest revision Performance on my iPad is ridiculously slow Access to notes almost unusable as delay searching for just my simple list of notes runs away resulting in long waits And to make matters worse the design layout makes it too easy to hit a button on the left while editing which takes me back to square one trying to find my note to edit Then editor starts at front of document And on and on and on performance and design is sooooooooo bad Please return to your roots with innovation and a return to a compelling user experience Favorite Bible has fallen from grace Pgustafs

I have been a pocket Bible user since the PalmPilot days It has always been my go to app for my iPhone I m struggling getting used to the new version I miss that I can no longer automatically log into the website from within the app Now I have to look up my user ID and password somewhere Hope I have it in an old email But this morning I was really getting into my study and the Lord was speaking to me and I wanted to look up the Greek Hebrew for the word study I was doing I got distracted with the disappointment that my NASB with Strongs numbers no longer works I no longer have the ability to click on the word and see the Greek and Hebrew I m so disappointed and distracted this morning I m having to revert to the Bible hub app Frustrated New upgraded Not sure I m a fan anymore Joyful519

I ve been using PocketBible since the pocket PC days All the bibles and resources I ve purchased over the last 15 to 20 years still work and are portable across many platforms including iOS Android and Windows This has saved me hundreds of dollars over the years The new 4 0 update brings the app up to current UI standards making it one of the best bible study apps currently in the app store If I could make improvements to the app it would be to add 1 abiity to automatically insert texts that are referenced in notes say through a pop up 2 history list that would allow jumping between all references accessed in a current session 3 easy access feature to provide feedback and recommendations to the programmers from within the app These might already be in the app and I may not yet have found them in the new version Outstanding Bible Study App Ktyct

This is still my favorite Bible App and like many others have used it since my Palm days I guess I m one of the odd ones out there but I much prefer turning the page by swiping left or right I realize we now have the option of scrolling or swiping but when swiping sentences at the top bottom tend to get cut off I find it much easier to memorize a chapter of scripture when I see the chapter by pages not one long continuous scroll Still my Favorite Mama8eagle

Ive been away from PocketBible for several years I used to have it on my Palm then my PocketPC Just recently I have tried it out on my iPhone and it reminds me again of what great app it has always been Ease of use searching is very easy On the iPad it will search all Bibles and content together then you can easily chose which version you want to read The app is also bugfree and very stable which is a huge thing in todays world of apps that promise much but are so buggy you can hardly make them work Great App

Great app except that Laridian takes forever to release updates There are annoying and obvious bugs with this app and they still havent updated it to support iOS 7 If you want a company that fixes bugs quickly dont go with Laridians PocketBible Also Laridian is the only major bible company I know of that refuses to offer student discounts Logos Accordance etc all offer student discounts but nope not Laridian Super slow updating app

I have used this program for years and find that it really meets my needs superbly Initially I wasnt sure that I liked the paging system and didnt understand why it needed to be that way The longer I use it it really makes total sense I especially like the advanced feature of the tabbed interface and the new feature of being able to quickly switch between the tabbed interface and the windowed interface I like being able to the original Greek meanings by just clicking on the Strongs number for a word There are too many features to mention all of them but this program is a full and robust application I carry my iPad to church and use this as my Bible everywhere I go Love it

I have been using this app since I got the iPad and I loved it so much But after update there is few really annoying features For example at BkChVs selection there is 9 chaptersverses per row Why 9 It is harder to find desired one I hope it will be switched to 10 per row as before Also there is no Cancel on chapterverse selection view I really need it I hope this will be fixed and that will turn this app again to one of the top usefull apps iOS 7 update disappointment

Mom found a typo and doesnt know how to contact the people to fix it In Proverbs 2924 KJV the word BEWRAYETH is misspelled BETRAYETH The T needs to be changed to a W As for the App itself it is well liked a lot as well as the colored buttons for the books of the Bible Typo

I dislike the new iOS7 design thought the previous design was much more attractive But I really really like the new Journal feature Its great for preparing lessons within the app Good resource

Ive been using this product since I had my Palm Pilot Always very happy Can use on multiple platforms with no trouble and without repurchasing for each platform Noticed that some are having trouble downloading books on iPhone 6 I experienced the same problem Was able to download the books one at a time Slow but it worked Hopfully Laridian will address this Simply the Best

This is the coolest bible app and is worth every penny With searchable notes highlights my iPad mini is all I need to bring to bible studies church I have used Laridian digital products for years and it was great that I didnt have to pay again for books I had since my PDA days do people still use these I dont know of ANY developers that do that sort of thing On the day before yesterday I installed the newest pocket bible app was still using an old ver 147 and mistakenly created a new account when I registered it and then purchased the Upgrade to Advanced Features I later found my original Account ID and corrected the registration so I could download all my purchased books but then I couldnt get the upgrade I just purchased using the other account ID I emailed support at 657 pm at 705 pm the problem was fixed AWESOME FAST Dont even think about this is the bible app you want Great Bible App Great Customer Service

Ive been a customer for a long time probably ten years or more and have used the software on a variety of platforms ranging from a pocket pc to an iPad First all purchases carry over to all platforms This is amazing and generous I wish more publishers followed this example The same bibles I purchases years ago still work no extra cost The software is not totally intuitive but can be learned very quickly and is effective for its purpose You can easily navigate multiple translations study guides and so forth Great selection of study guides and bibles It is quick to navigate books of the bible so you can follow along in church Lastly I love that its multi platform I have Apple devices Microsoft devices and Google devices This software is available on all of them and has all my content and at no extra cost Im not being forced into an ecosystem I can this awesome app on the right device for the situation Great app great value

I have owed Laridian Bible software for around 10 years going back to my old Palm V the fact that they have continued to honor the software I purchased back then and not charge me extra for upgrading it more recent handheld computers is amazing Actually that is way more than one could ask I would not expect my 10 year old computer software purchase to still entitle me to get the software for my new iPad mini but that must say something about the company This Bible for the iPad mini is truly amazing Having multiple books open including concordances etc I cant say enough about how much I like it If you read the Bible try this software Im sure youll be very pleased and Id you dont read the Bible you should start AMAZING

Really appreciate all you guys do but the splash screen needs some work The royal blue doesnt fit in with the icon or app design Might look a little more snazzy if you used a different color Splash Screen

Ive been waiting a long time for this update It was worth the wait the updates to the basic version are impressive I upgraded to the advanced and its even more impressive The overall feature set makes this one of the top two Bible study apps The other one is Olive Tree both have features the other dont which I like Olive Tree gets the edge with more content available Laridian has an advantage with the audio feature I highly recommend this app with the advanced feature set I loved the old iconography and was not looking forward to the new one when I read in an email prior to the update it was going to be changed However after updating the logo is beautiful and is my favorite icon of all the apps I have including the Apple apps Way to go Laridian Ive been a supporter of Laridian since the original windows mobile device nonphone May God bless protect and provide for you and your family His will be done In Jesus Name Amen AWESOME UPDATE30 iOS 7

Great app been using it for years Im a bit disappointed at how slow they have been to support the latest iOs changes Almost every other bible reader app supports the new iPhone 5 resolution by now and pocket bible seems to lag behind consistently with iOS updates No iPhone 5 support

This app has some really good features but there are certain features that require an upgrade purchase But some of these features such as the ability to create a note not attached to a Bible verse or to label your highlighting style really should not be passed on to the user These are standard note taking features that come free on most other Bible apps The Ability to Title a Note and Label a Highlight Should be standard

The new version of PB is amazing It may have taken them awhile to update it but only because they want to do it right iOS7 Update

Ive been using the Laridian Pocket Bible for years and years and it is truly my favorite Bible App An issue has developed with the iOS 7 upgrade on my iPad When Im selecting a new scripture after choosing the book it cuts off the side of the number selections Example select Hebrews then try to select chapter 7 or 8 or 9 or 10 they are not available The next option is 11 Happens with other chapter numbers too Please fix Thank you My favorite Bible App

I have been using this app way back to my days of using a Palm device It was great then and only grows better I has tremendously helped my Bible study and I have recommended it to dozens of friends they are now enjoying it too I love the changes for iOS7 the improvements in speed I use notes and the ability to name colors underlining features These changes are great for inductive study It looks like this update has convinced me to finally update my iPhone to iOS7 I updated my iPad a while back but was holding off updating my phone Thanks Laridian Cant wait for your Mac version Love This App Fantastic updates

Ive used this app since 2003 on my old HP iPac Windows PDA before the iPhone or app store ever came out Ive benefited a lot from it Its a reliable app with good features Good and Consistent

I have owned and used Pocket Bible for several years And Ive loved every feature of the app from the beginning I just upgraded the latest version and tested out the new Search feature Wow I can search through the BibleAND I can even search through my notes That option is exceptional Keep up the good work Super Super

It will not search entire bible for scriptures It is only searching inside the page you are on Not only is the app not functioning the desktop version has same problems When you do a reinstall or update to your iPhone it does not save notes highlights or bookmarks Spent good money buying the bibles but the app and desktop versions do not function well at all Works poorly

For teaching I bought this Laridian product for a Palm Pilot no smart phones back then It worked well Then I got it for a Palm Treo that with Blackberry were the first smart phones It was improved easy to use and responsive Now I have it on my iPhone Theyve taken advantage of the improved functions speed and displays of new smartphones Its easier with more choices The real surprise though is I could effectively port from my Palm Treo to my iPhone at no additional cost At first I could not figure out how to do it It was just too simple This is a firstclass company with a firstclass product It is an outstanding easytouse renewable product
