This should be the benchmark for future electronic publications I look forward to more issues and a subscription option                 Astounding
Pop Mech seems to be more in tune with what iPad owners are looking for They have a smooth easy to navigate magazine at an affordable price and they dont take up a gig of storage If they add a little more interactivity and keep their price the same Ill keep purchasing Overall great app                 Great model for other periodicals
They even managed to made the advertisement enjoyable The only thing I would like is landscape mode while reading the videos full screen and the pictures I cant wait for the next issues D worth every penny and even iTunes High tax rate                 Perfect
This is by far my favorite app i have downloaded since getting my iPad in June The content in it so fun to read and the way they intertwine digital things with text is amazing If they keep the price at 199 a month I will gladly pay that Anything more and I dont see it as being that worth it As of now though i am in awe as I read through the articles Great job guys                 Best app yet
Very nice presentation but very lite on content           Too short
Dont tell me I need to restart my iPad to work Done it 3 times this app is pathetic like the people who made it     Free but nothing happens
This is what interactive magazines should aspire to be Then ONE thing that would make this or brake it without question would be the pricing of subscription Given that you most convince the greater population to make a transition subscription should be extremely affordable Also most people that buy magazines do so without subscription that is they buy one magazine from to time to time Both options should be provided at a steal price as compared to the paper back edition considering it would of a much lighter content than is counterpart The above reason is why all other interactive magazines created thus far have failed miserably even though their presentations might be as good or better I hope PM will be wise in correctly price gauging their market or be under the category of oh and look what my Ipad can also do isnt that neat                 More than well done
Cannot get it to work Also cannot get an support to determine if it is me my7 computer your site or document     Does not work
I really think tat if you are interested in this app you should try it out The cost is well worth it for the amount of forethought the developers put into this magazine app Next month I imagine that the pages will fit a little tighter for the screen and will allow for double tap zoom sharing                 Its pretty
I really like this app I think interactive magazines are the future of this industry especially for tech and science related information No complaints so far                 Great app
One of the best designed app magazines I have seen so far Graphically it is better than Wired or GQ or SI Begins to show the potential of this new medium                 Beautiful
No landscape mode and this gives 1 star Sluggish when you turn pages gives another 1 star Too often most of the interactive elements on pages need some sort of pixelhunting many of the controls are simply not obvious 1 The most outraging bug is that when you open the last page and try to scroll farther you wont know that this page is last you wont see any indication of this the only thought that comes to your mind is that the app is hung until you swipe back In the end this gives another 1 and 1 of stars in total no more     unusable
Once the novelty wears off its actually a pretty slime magazine Otherwise presentation is excellent Triple or more the content for the price and I would become a regular reader But as it stands its not for me        Nice but needs more content
I want more              Awesome first issue Where are the others
First no landscape mode Survey requires you to use portrait mode while typing in landscape keyboard Gimmicky Interactive items are nothing more than eye candy and waste of space on iPad Too little content I thought it was broken when it would not go any further turning pages A fraction of a magazine in reality I dont get the fawning here I actually love the video ads Thats cool The scrolling is awkward though updown and page to page at times A decent start but no way in hell Im paying that much for so little I could go to the website and get more value for free Trying to be constructive here There is potential but rag makers need to know we wont pay a premium for less than the paper versions offer           Way too little content too many gimmicks
Great job keep up the good work                 Great app
Great content with an excellent price I hope more publishers follow this model                 This is how emagazines should be done
Ends rather abruptly but the content is good and the design and flow are excellent Wish other publications would learn from this These guys get it                 Nice
Dropping my star used to be great but it seems like now all the hype has died down and all the other mags has taken over The last time I read Popular Mech was like 3 months ago have bought 3 issues of Wired since then read tons of Zinio And yet the magazine that is hyped to be the definitive iPad magazine is still stuck in limbo with a July date        updates
The interface needs tweaking as its not clear when I should try to scroll left or down Price is a little high but a lot closer than the 4060 a year others think they are going to be able to charge I have been a print subscriber since I was very young had pet dinosaur and like the mag I was wondering how digital subscription would work will each months issue be in apps store will I be able to sign up to get email to inform me when new issue is available              interface needs tweaking price aliitle hih
The mag is amazing Where is the next issue                 Love it
A good idea but pretty much useless as keeps crashing        keeps crashing
I have at least 100 apps this is my first review This app is AWESOME It is flawless and flows great It was sad to get the end Hope more are coming soon Ready to sign up for year subscription                 Awesome
Theres been no new issue since its release so be adviced right now ur buying a one shot deal Come on you guys are big enough to give us new issues     how about an new issue
So good youll even click on the ads to play the video This is was ad supported magazines will look like in the future when the rest of them catch on                 Even the adds
Awesome app But I cant give more than two stars because there is NO LANDSCAPE        Landscape
This is really good if you like reading magazines on your I pad you need to ck out Zinio they get it monthly subscriptions and they are really reasonable not this one off stuff ck it out              This is Good Have you tried
Nice job guys but a lack of landscape viewing is a waste of an iPad app Five stars if this changes              Looks good
I do not review apps Ever Just finished reading the pop mechanics electronic mag issue and wow The interactive sections truly do add to the understanding of an article They are not just filler Not gimmick As other publishers see what has been done here and catch on we may look back in history at how this publisher started a revolution that saved the concept of magazines You will enjoy this                 The future
I cant believe someone have done it right for the digital version of their magazine Time SI and even WIRED should take a note from PM on how to make and price their magazines for the iPad Awesome work PM I cant wait to see the next issue                 Magazine done RIGHT
The lay out is awesome the content is great like expected and the interactive content is above par Cannot wait till it rolls out                 Best mag app by far
I really liked this magazine and this app Very well done However the first monthly edition was put out in July and as of October there hasnt been the Aug Sept or Oct version of the magazine Has PM stopped supporting this after one try Im giving it one star because there has been only one month and then nothing     Almost 3 months and there has only been one edition
Loved the sampler and happy to see the folks at Popular Mechanics have delivered on the full issueloved the animation of the NASA test for H2o on the moon and the earthquake shock absorber fitted building All very well donenow how about the opptny to buy a subscription Thats the only suggestion I can makea true 5 out of 5 stars                 Worth the price
I bought this app for 199 but i had to format my ipad so deleted it Now if I want this magazine again you have to pay them again     Cannot download again if already bought Pathetic
Its a phenomenal app compared to popsci BTW dont buy that app but it only has one issue Please add more           Good
Save your 2 this is a poor impemendation of a single copy of Pop Mech Pages are huge and you have to scroll constantly to read anything landscape mode is not even implemented The free Zinio reader for iPad is WAY better and you can subscribe to any of a bunch of magazines I use it for subscriptions to Flying and Mac mags customer support is excellent and they take your ideas for improvements seriously You can buy individual mags or subscribe and they arrive with no problem every month keeps previous months displays pages at iPad screen size in clear zoomable print in either landscape or portrait Zinio is one stop shopping for magazines on iPad I dont even get paper copies anymore        Zinio magazine reader is way better many magazines
Having grown up reading Popular Mechanics its great to see they are thinking outside the box This is much better then reading an ebook version of the paper version Im looking forward to the next issue                 Money well spent
Installed and ran app Splash screen displays briefly and then the screen goes all white nothing else happens Closed app reopened same result Closed app turned iPad off rebooted iPad and ran app still just a blank white screen Uninstalled app reinstalled app same problem Deleted app     Did not install correctly
Great job guys but its time for a new issue                 Great use of technology Wheres the update
The iPad is the ultimate device for magazine subscriptions As soon as the publishers figure out we will subscribe to a ton of mags as long as the cost is remotely close to what we would pay for a paper copy theyll make a ton of money Congrats to this one for being the first one to do it                 The price is right
Does not have the ability to zoom the texts if it wasnt for the text size it would be great it absolutely need the text zoom        Zoom
I have looked at a few other magazine apps and none seem to come close The price is perfect anything more and I would stick to my regular subscription                 Great preview of magazines to come
Love it Dont need the landscape mode When I get a book or magazine it doesnt come with a landscape mode either                 Great
This app will not load on my iPad and I have the latest version of the operating system and I have synced multiple times     Might Like
I really really like this app But I buy the print version in part for the classifieds It would be cool if these could be added in some innovative way that would be even more valuable than the print version                 Ads
This is a 5 star app but without a currently available subscription option I give it 4 stars overall I like this format much better than having just a digital scanned version of the magazine The dynamic content kept me engaged and interacting with the articles Even the ads which are usually the thing I hate most in adsupported apps were done in such a way as to garner my attention by beaconing me to play some streaming content If prices stay at about 1issue you will have many customers give up paper for the Pad This kind of media is what the iPad is meant for and the magazine presents itself beautifully The iPad is a terrific ereader and the way that Popular Mechanics added the transitions and media content just added so much to the experience without degrading ease of navigation I felt getting around the magazine content was very intuitive and much more pleasing than just flipping digital pages Look for many more magazines to follow this iPad enhanced format because Pop Mech just set the bar                 Lucky trees heres the future of magazines
Where is the next issue           Next month
So its a new month Wheres the new magazine     Great App
I love Popular Mechanics to begin with and this is awesome If its possible though could you make it so that the reader can turn off the sound and keep their music playing That would be wonderful for musicaddicted people such as myself Another very convenient thing would be to add a bookmark of sorts Im always being bombarded with notifications and push messages etc when Im reading and it would be nice to know that I can come right back to the same spot if I have to leave the app for a moment              A few suggestions but still amazing
Good concept yet crashes and NO landscape mode Neither is acceptable     Crashes no landscape mode
